Happy Halloween!

here's 1 picture. hopefully more can come... just of jocelyn! it's funny when you plan on looking one way then see a picture... ha! jocelyn was a cute lil bug!

My little girl's growin up...

Jocelyn had her 4 month check up yesterday! She was 13.4 lbs and 25 inches long! She's a 2 footer! She is healthy but wasn't so happy about getting 2 shots! She was ok on the first on, she whimpered but was ok after 5 second. The second shot, on the other hand, she was NOT happy! She turned Valentine red and was screamin! The nurse felt bad! You could tell she was a little surprised! But after 5 minutes of crying she was ok! She has been pretty sleepy ever since. I like cuddling with her when she's tired!

Sorry I don't have an operating camera! SOOooo I'm living off of my dear friends!

We had a FHE Halloween Party for our building and the one across from us. It was super fun! The ladies that planned and executed everything did an AMAZING job!!!! I will steal their photos and post them here soon... of none other than Jocelyn the Ladybug! She did so well in the costume! But after an hour or a little less she was done. Just enough time to get some photos! She's our little pride and joy

What is insomnia?

Problems falling asleep or staying asleep. You may wake up during the night or wake up too early the next morning.

Insomnia is a common problem that affects almost everyone at some point. You may also feel grumpy from lack of sleep. Some people have trouble remembering things, don't get as much done, and don't enjoy being with family and friends.

Having trouble sleeping from time to time is often linked to short-term stress. It can last for days to weeks. It often gets better in less than a month.

YES, I am having trouble sleeping! So these last 4 days I've really had a hard time sleeping. I think I know why, but still. This is just weird. I love sleep! So for it to be dark outside, my husband and baby to be sleeping while I lay wide eyed is just nerve racking! I don't know how long I can handle this... so ready or not! Who knows when I will reach my breaking point!

Funny, I never really considered myself as an extremely political person... but recently I've felt the need. I find myself watching the political debates on tv and really trying to select the best for our future and our country. A deep interest has been sparked. To say the least, this issue is a big deal. A very big deal. I can not believe what this will do to our education systems and how it affects our religious beliefs. Just as they want the constitutional right of equality, I want my freedom of religion! This is not just a political issue it is a moral issue. We must stand up for what is right and what is fair. I am grateful for The Family, A Proclamation to the World! I believe that our church leaders are inspired and know how to help us prepare. I pray that for the sake of our families we can stop this. I do not want Jocelyn being misleading information and especially at such young an age as Kindergarten! We honor this man, Mr. Parker, for standing up the way he did! He does know what it means to be a father.

About Prop. 8

The entire text of Proposition 8 is as follows:

"Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California."

Proposition 8: The California Marriage Protection Amendment

Proposition 8 places into the California Constitution the same language that voters already passed by 61% of the vote in 2000. This is necessary to overturn an outrageous California Supreme Court decision that overturned Proposition 22.

About Proposition 8

Proposition 8 is simple and straightforward. It contains the same 14 words that were previously approved in 2000 by over 61% of California voters: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Because four activist judges in San Francisco wrongly overturned the people's vote, we need to pass this measure as a constitutional amendment to restore the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman.

Voting YES on Proposition 8 does 3 simple things:

• It restores the definition of marriage to what the vast majority of California voters already approved and what Californians agree should be supported, not undermined.

• It overturns the outrageous decision of four activist Supreme Court judges who ignored the will of the people.

• It protects our children from being taught in public schools that "same-sex marriage" is the same as traditional marriage, and prevents other consequences to Californians who will be forced to not just be tolerant of gay lifestyles, but face mandatory compliance regardless of their personal beliefs.

Jocelyn and Kailani! They were friends long before they arrived! Kailani's parents were in the same birthing class as us! So we prepared for them together! Jocelyn is one month older. Isn't Kailani beautiful?! Poor JoJo, she's got mama's pail skin!

We had a BLAST at Ashley Brown's baby shower! I'm so excited for her to have her baby girl! There are so many babies coming up! IT'S CRAZY! I need to make a list to prove just how many! I've always wanted to do this! Natalie, my sister-in-law did it, and so I am a copycat! I even tried different pictures too and it keeps saying the same thing! hahaha She's a good mix, I guess! We've heard equally that she looks like Derek or me... usually people that know Derek better say she looks like him and when I went home most said she looks like me. It will be fun to see. I just think she's beautiful. I wish I could show you more about how gorgeous she is, but our camera DIED! SO SAD. Derek had this camera on his mission and the battery just croaked. So you would THINK it would be easy to get a replacement but since it's a little older- not such luck. So, Shanae is letting me borrow her old one. But I must be bad luck. The battery needed to be charged and after a day of charging it wasn't ready. haha I DON"T KNOW WHAT I DID! Sorry, you can't see Jocelyn. :D I'm working on it though, I promise! She's still cute. She's cooing more... and fitting into her clothes! We're doing great, just rolling with the punches of life.
