Gathering

I just went our with friends from F6 and secondary for the past few weeks and it is awesome! We talked about our past and our new life in university since most of us from different uni.

The other day, Chris was asked by someone whether jus finished SPM, haha.. it reminds me of the days i spent after spm when waiting for form6 intake. I took a job as a shoes promoter and later a form teacher job in primary school. Feel like going back to visit the standard 3 kids I taught. Kinda wonder how they look like now in standar 6 and whether they remember me. haha Gotta make up some arrangement for that when the school start again.

I got three long months summer break, so yea plenty of time to enjoy and relax. I kinda wonder should I take up another job for the moment… but anyhow will any decision after my result release at 9 december.. yikes!

Curtin University

I had abandon my blog for months … hehe sorry… was busy with university stuff and lack of motivation to blog. My life was just revolve around with studies, assignment, project design and construction. . oh as well as mugging. What i feel about university’s life? It was cool and relax at the beginning of semester or maybe throughout the semester. E.g For Engineering Mathematics, I had learned 50% from stpm as well as Engineering Mechanics though its the formula which is new to me.

So far, I am have no regret to came in the University ( though miri town is totally Boring!, good place to study) And one the coolest thing is living all by myself! ahaha.. Somehow, laundry and cooking  are not the main problem…. its the TRANSPORTATION!@# Without it , its quite  difficult to go anywhere from my housing area, where the town is actually 15 mins drive from Senadin. BUT, it will take you 45 mins by bus! HAHA… Fortunately, I get to know friends who own cars and thanks to my senior housemate who willing to borrow me his car sometimes.

Speaking of housemates, I am staying with one senior and another foundation guy from Bintulu. I am speechless with the Bintulu guy and really think he is a guy who nvr stay out before and such a irresponsible person. URGH!  E.g He always forget to the lock the door.. and i will always have to remind him “ HELLO?? YOUR ROOM IS NOT THE ONLY DOOR U HAVE TO LOCK?!” wth man… 7 am and he would Blast his music till it woke my senior and I !! I really think he will nvr realise until we told him about it.. urgh.

Okay.. There are nvr ending stories bout that Bintulu guy, so anyway.. was lucky to have my senior housemate. He was an Civil Engineering student .. bright one! Gaming kaki too! haha.. got a lots of pc game from him duh!!

OH OH I am done with Modern Warfare 2! very short though the storyline but I sure that the nxt modern warfare would be great! The nxt game i am waiting will be the assassin creed 2.  xD

Basically I like the University life and yea.. freedom! :D

Resuming

Nvr really posted anything lately due to studies and assignments… :D Will be back on blogging when I am back today! :P

1st semester just ended.. time flies! Sometimes, workload and stuff had caused me to lost track with time in Miri. I do not follow news esp political back there in west malaysia anymore or any other current news! My local friend once told me that Its like Miri is free peaceful town, shielded from the outside world. Well, maybe I do not have a tv… wait I have one , just I dun watch it… rather stream the news on9 since there only channel tv1, tv2 and tv3 without astro in miri.. .LOL

Its been 4 short months… somehow after everything done in the first semester, I personally feel that i had made the right choice of University. :D Well, probably for now… hehe

Second tuition free week

yes! another free week because of raya holidays. . :D now only thing is i got loads of assignment to hand up after raya + with mid term exam to study…

SO yea… probably not gonna hang around this tuition free week.

Tuition free week

I spent most of the time staying at home.. well, got assignment, lab report and tutorials work to do.. lol

Well, I also finished the game  COD 4 and Assassin Creed.. yea, old games.. xD The nxt version for both of this game is coming end of the year as well! xD COD 6 & creed 2. XD haha.. can play after this semester ends!

Planned to go Gua Niah but have to postpone it to end of the year… Hopefully!

Anyway,

This my first time heard of Sugar Bun Restaurant. Its 60% similar to KFC or McD.  Where the 40% they sell something extra, Or can say is the Malaysia version of KFC lah. You can actually find nasi lemak, fish&chips, Grilled fish, chicken chop, and even spaghetti… popcorns & etc. the ‘rojak’ style… apa pun ada.. xD

As far as i know, its appears to have outlets in East Malaysia and Brunei… thats what i heard lah. Well, it turns out quite good on the rating of 7/10 compared to the KFC here. You know why?? Because  the chickens in KFC DAMN SMALL… their dinner plate here = 3/4 of the snack plate back there in west malaysia.

1 Month in Miri

Its been one long month since i last bogged. Been busy at the first 2 weeks with catching up stuff in University. I am living good in Miri. Got to know friends who drive me around Miri as private tour. So, I already visited some of popular places in Miri. From the richest tycoon’s houses to famous local delights.

My schedule is heavily packed from tuesday to thursday ( on average from 8 am – 930 pm) which include the 4 hours break in between.  First two weeks time table was keep changing .. Friends got annoyed after missing lecture  just because of that!

What i think bout Curtin University? It was good in overall, environment, classroom, lecture hall, ICT Lab, all those experiment Labs. Just that service of the school is not as efficient as it should be. Oh well.. nth perfect. Here some few pictures of this University,

Lets see.. Currently, I have a Russian lecturer for Engineering Mathematic, Myanmarese for my Engineering Materials. However, lecturer will be change after this tuition free week for materials as we going into different topic (Organic!). Engineering Mechanics under a chinese guy and EFPC ( Engineering Foundations Principles and Communication ) , hate this unit because of the project. We are require either to build a car ( with mouse trap) or bridge (with pop-sticks). Its a 12 weeks projects, where we have to set up a real company with company policy, company profile, company diary as log book.. .then tender evaulation ..bid form…etc etc…  At the end, bridges will be put into test on how many weight it can withstand. As for the car, how fast/far it can go on a straight line and whether it can travel across the bridge. 

I heard there is another Unit like this in the 2nd semester.. ? Great… LOL =.=

Basically, form6 syllabus really help me alot on the fundamental of eng. Mechanics, Materials and Maths. Eventhough, sometimes you will find physic topic in Materials e.g: X-ray Diffraction, Bragg’s Law, Magnetic Flux Density…Okay. So thx alot for the form 6 !!

Hmm.. Internet Connection here pretty slow… dragging… So i only use for printing my notes. :D Oh yea.. thanks to my senior, Jason Ang, i got all the lecture notes which save me a sum of money. :) I have to admit that seniors here ( at least for those who i know) are friendly and willing to help you anytime. I got some of my second hand book really cheap!

Hmm… Currently, My friend are one fetching me in and out of the campus. :) No need to wait for the stupid buses which 80% late and standing are not allowed! So practically, its normal to wait for few round just to get to the campus. T.T. lol

Yes.. thats our beautiful lake.. and open fire at the other side of the lake.. –.- Even our school guards were assigned to put off the fire. lol However, weather got better this few days with the rains this few days. :D

yes.. there is only one cinema in this town and its sux! heard got rat invested.. then the sound system got problem… screen not clear.. so buy Dvds! :) Its easily to get Dvds here with rm6 per piece! rm20 for 5 xD

Lack of entertainment though this town.. So i guess its good for study? hahaha…

1 week in Miri

Slowly I have get use to the 'culture' here.. living alone for now as my housemates have not return from summer break or shift in. My room was average small but comfortable i can say after some cleaning up on the first night. On my right side was some africans.. cool yes..in a way. xD

One thing I really get use is the noise at night. Erm.. explain more later. hehe

Had travel down to Miri town (40 mins by Bus with rm 2.60 ) erm... expensive? yea.. for one way! lol Miri is really a small town as i had walked from one end to another in 20mins perhaps? xD Since I do not have camera with me now, so will post some pics when i get to know some friends with it. xD

Been busy this few days going through Orientation and been brief on "Everything" here.

Had met different cultural friends from all around the world. xD

Miri, here i come!

With less than 10 hours, I will be flying off to MIri, Sarawak. Yes, I have decided to further my study at Curtin Sarawak Campus for Chemical engineering course. Its gonna be tough for me. But i have confidence to get over it for the nxt 4 years.  keke..

Alrights.. I will blog more when i arrive in Miri and get a proper connection there. ;)

Wedding Dinner at Penang

Back to normal days

I have another less than 3 weeks for my University intake. Most probably going for Curtin, Sarawak campus once i got the accommodation settled by this friday. Its been a headache moments for me for the past 2 weeks on considering which university to go. Honestly, I have no doubt on going so far and only coming back maybe twice a year. Well.. its gonna be different somehow right.. haha. Will write more about the university or miri town once i settle down everything there. (:

Worked 6 months with Maxis and yesterday was my last day. This my third job, learn more about cooperative/teamwork and experienced lifestyle in a office. haha Compared to working as teacher, i guess this job would be more comfortable or relaxing.. okay, maybe just particularly for what i am doing there. LOL

Well, I am glad myc was working under the same roof for the past few months. Honestly, its different when you have a friend to talk/share about in CDPU. (:

They had this small farewell for three of us which is ( Sonia, Aliff and me ) last night. Sonia going for SCC department and Aliff left as the same reason as me.
