Backdated post_Activities for last weekend

Last weekend was a long weekend with deepavali on Monday.

Saturday, we went for Kayden's 1st flu vaccination at the PD.
Now whenever we are at the doc's, he gets real scared of him. Even when the doc wanna touch him or hear his heartbeat, he will turn away immediately. Maybe he knows something, he thought that this person wanna do something bad to him.....INJECTION.
Haha....cannot escape though. He still kena poke with the needle. This time round he whine just a little, probably its not as painful as the pneumo jab.
As usual, scared that he will have fever, so will gave him a dosage of the paracetamol after that. No fever seen at all after that.
The 2nd flu vaccination as per doc needs to be 4 weeks after which will be on 6th Dec, 11am.

Then we had lunch and back home with some housechores and resting.
Out for dinner at Hougang coffeeshop and went prawning again at pasir ris.

Sunday, went AMK hub, then head to tampines for frog porridge. Yummy.
Had this craving sometimes already and finally get to eat it. :D

Monday, went JB for some shopping. It was smooth driving when we set off. But traffic wasn't so pretty when we were heading back home. Its expected as due to the long weekends where ppl just went back hometown or for holiday and heading back home for the work next day.
As usual, bought few packs of wet wipes, big & small ones, some clothings for kayden and some groceries.

That ended our long weekend.

oMG....teething again....

OMG.....The 7th and the 8th are on their way, peeking through his gums. Ouch....
Wonder how many will he have when he's 1 year old.

Kayden is sick..

Was on childcare leave last 2 days to take care of my poor kiddo.
He was having fever for 2 consecutive days.

It all started with mild flu then lead to coughing and then fever.
His fever can go up to 39.3 degrees....sighz
Went to the doc and was told that we need to feed him the burofen & paracetamol alternately for 3 days. He had caught a bad cold. Sighz....must be gotten it at fidgets that day. Poor boy.
But my sis was telling me that there is flu virus in the air and lots of children are having the same symptons. Anyway, all mummies gonna be very careful with your child ya..

Today I'm back at work.
Kayden is now at inlaws place and recovering though there's still mild fever going on.
But i can tell u I was totally stressed out for that 2 days at home.
Luckily derrick was there with me on the 1st day.

Kayden was super duper cranky, grouchy, demanding, easily getting into crying mode, plus super clingy all the way.
This is my 1st time encountering all this and really didnt know that babies mood can change so drastically. Think he is so uncomfortable throughout that he is so clingy to me, think he needs some sense of security and comforting from someone, poor boy.

In the middle of the night, he will woke up crying and not getting back to sleep. Feeding him medicine was not a breeze too. Had to coax him and he will cry and keep shaking his head after tasting the yucky fluid.
I need to stop for a while and coax him again to finish up the medicine.
Boy, I was totally stressed out.
Till yesterday, he still wake up in the middle of the night and crying. So i gave him some water and put him co-sleeping with us on the bed. Pat him till he goes back to lalaland.

I hope this will stop soon...i want my loving, cheerful boy back...

Kayden is 10 months old now...

Our little kayden is 10 months old now.

At 10 months.. these are Kayden's developments and milestones:

- say mummum very clearly when he sees food or someone munching away

- calling maa maa or paaa when he's in the mood

- 6 teeth now, 4 upper and 2 lower front

- sway both his hands and body up and down while sitting down when he hears his favourite sound and music. (eg. mickey mouse clubhouse, dibo the dinosaur, picoyo theme sound)

- pull himself up from the lowest level of playpen

- he knows what to do when we say 'luvluv' & also 'sayang'
'luvluv' will means to put his head on that someone
'sayang' means to put his hand on someone and stroke gently

- his fav toys will still be balls & balloons or anything that is round, small or big but will choose Biggg balls most of the time,
if given a balloon with the stick, he will hold on to it tightly and wont let anyone snatch it away. He will cry if someone remove it from his hand.

- Still doesnt crawl on fours nor stand unsupported

These are what i can think of.
Will add on along the way when i recall :P

Happy 10 months old, my baby...

Kayden's new tooth member...Again

Again....the 6th tooth is out. He got 4 front teeth and 2 bottom teeth now.

Been waking up at 3plusAm crying for these 2 days. Tried giving him just water then pacifier but still not satisfied. So in the end, popped him a bottle of milk and he's back to lalaland after that.

7plusAm woke up whinning again. He wants milk again and once popped in, he stopped whinning and drank it, either zzz after that or woke up waiting for us to bring him to in laws place.

Think the sprouting tooth irritates him therefore all these wake up session.
Hope he can go back to his old mode on waking up just once in the early morning within 5-7am.

- Buffet caterer : Either Gim Tim's or Elsie's kitchen
- Guest list : Number of pax, Yet to know
- Cake Bakery : Eyed on PG but still looking ard
- Balloons : Bought some latex & mylars, probably will rent a small helium tank to pump all up

Hmmmm.....What else did i miss out?
2 more months to go to his Big One....excited!

A nicer tooth chart

Kayden's tooth record.
Yesterday found that his 2 upper central incisor is cutting out his gum at his 8th month
No wonder his gum is all red and swollen and milk intake is low again.
Poor boy. Had been applying detinox teething gel to soother him.

Phew...

Scared the hell out of me on Saturday.
Kayden had been co-sleeping with us on bed ever since he was ill with cough & flu.
As usual, after he had slept, I would lay the pillows nicely to block all the gaps where he could possibly have fallen down.

In the Saturday wee morning, I woke up after hearing his cry out to us, as usual thought that he wants milk, still blurry and when i turned facing towards his direction, I couldnt find him there. Then i wear my spec and OMG, I found him at the edge of the bed with body halfway down the bed.

Suddenly i became alert and quickly went to carry him up. My heart really drop for that moment when I saw that....There's a gap inbetween the 2 pillow and thats where he was. Woke his dad up and told him about it.

Lucky my dear bb didnt fall down, if not I really cannot imagine the consequences. Lucky he knows to call out to us to pick him up if not I really don know wat will happen....

After that hooha, i put him in his sarong to sleep again....When woke up, saw his dad and asked him where's baby, cannot imagine I'm still having that incident phobia.

So last night I put him in his playpen (adjusted to the lowest level) to sleep le. Think this have to be the way every night.

Phew! Scared the wits out of me.
