Cactus and Cactus Flower from We Are 3

Happy Birthday to me! Bonnie at We Are 3 surprised me with my own fabulous new digital stamps - available in the shop now! She created Camille's Cactus and Camille's Cactus Flower for me.  Since we had the most glorious Saguaro Cactus flowers this year, I decided to extend their season with this card. The background here is Nature Blends.

I'm really pleased with how this card came out and can't wait to color some more of these adorable cacti!

After posting this card to the challenge, I realized I posted it to last week's challenge!  So here is another version for this week's Featured Stamper challenge - this time using Color Burst for my background - so fun!!!!

   

Friends - Soldiers - Superheroes

Welcome Home to our neighbor who has been deployed for the past year. We are looking forward to seeing him again. Here I am making a welcome sign late the night before. Full Disclosure: The top portion of my sign was purchased - I added my personal touch with the hanging "addendum."

Creative Confetti Kindness is the Way

Well, at least another week before my craft room is once again functioning - Seems to be a waiting game to get new furniture assembled....though I have to say my complaining has saved me hundreds of dollars, so I will just have to live with my house looking like it's been hit by a tornado for yet another week. so I can't really craft right now - but I've been able to slip in some very simple cards this week...and single-layer cards can be so cute (if I say so myself). The flowers on this card are from Power Poppy's Kindness is the Way set...this weeks Creative Confetti challenge is a Free for All (creating something using a Power Poppy image). These flowers were my first attempt to color in grayscale. Have to admit, I cheated on my leaves - they are precolored from the Paprika collection by Digital Crea. The sentiment is from the May Flowers collection from Digital Scrapbooking Experts. 

I used We Are 3's Cornflower Love for the first matting, and some textured paper from my stash for the darker matting.  At the end, I thought my flowers needed something, so I Stickled the centers - I was wrong about that. LOL! I should have left them alone.  Now it's back to my tornado house for me!

Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz

It's the first Saturday of the month, and you know what that means! It's Challenge time at Paper Ala Mode! This week we all made cards with Super Heros and goodies from We Are 3. I used Snow Friends - Wonderful Snowgirl. 

I added a background from the Roses are Red collection, and a Winter sentiment as well.

We Are 3's Fairy Backgrounds

I'm a big fan of watercolor backgrounds - but don't like the mess. Yeah for digital papers! That's what the new release Fairy Backgrounds is great for. The background of this card is from Fairy Backgrounds....and so are the trees! I used the "river" pattern from the backgrounds to digitally color the trees. The sentiment is from the Sending You collection.

        

All Creatures Great and Small

Well, my life has settled down a bit while we wait for another doctor's appointment for Gene's wrist - which means I had some time to play. Today I just played with stash! I didn't even make a dent, although I made several cards. This is the only card worth sharing, though.

A Simple Quick One

How simple is this? title is computer generated and, of course, the moon is cut from We Are 3's Moon Desert. So this scrapbook is finished and in the mail!

We Are 3 Vintage Bear Baby Card

The new Vintage Bear is just too cute. I used paper from the Little Garden collection for the background, and the pattern behind the die cut is from the Fruity collection. How cute is that?

The Baby sentiment is made from stickers from my stash.

For this layout, the background paper is from Little Star. The title is computer generated, and the glittered star from my stash. I finished it off with some fiber.

Climbing Clematis

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! This post is for this week's Creative Confetti challenge. The challenge this week is a color challenge. Since I'm on a mission to work from my stash, I pulled out three papers that match the challenge's colors. The flowers are from Power Poppy - Climbing Clematis. I had a different vision in mind, but my green turned out to be overpowering....not what I had in mind. Sad that I still have this paper in my stash - had to buy a ream for wedding invitations I made many, many years ago....the marriage last two weeks - and I still have leftovers in my stash!!!!

I'm happy with my flowers, though - even though they are much darker than I planned. I was envisioning soft pink like the color scheme - got a little heavy on the shading, I'd say. LOL! Thanks, Power Poppy, for the inspiration.

Oh, wow! Bonnie has a fabulous new set of sentiments called Super Hero that she just added to the Etsy shop! These are so fun to add to projects for all your super hero fans. Photo Corners

Photo Corners seem to be in all of our stashes, but I just cleaned out a lot of things and gave my photo corners to a friend/stamp collector. I did, however, have these stickers in my stash - and, as you can imagine, I had difficulty finding after "organizing" my stash yesterday!

This is just a quick card I made also using a sentiment I found in my stash and some leftover scraps from We Are 3's HoneyComb collection....made for a nice, quick card.

Bee Happy

Today's card is a multiple shaker card. The local papercrafting group I belong to has a "Mystery Item" swap each month. A member brings an item for each of us to use in making a card. This month's item was small plastic "globes," perhaps they originally encased some OTC medication. I used them to make a shaker card. I used We Are 3's Bumble Bee papers (and a touch of HoneyComb. Inside each of the shakers is a bee image from Miss Kate Cuttables, with some seed beads. I really love the look of the bee buzzing around the shakers. 

         

Oddball Art Stamps and Paper Ala Mode Challenge

My current go-to gift is decorated gift bags. So for my design for the current challenge at Paper Ala Mode, I created a gift bag with a "beachy" theme. Maybe it was the Beach Boys on my mind, but when I saw Oddball's Hippie VW image, my mind immediately went to the beach. So when we got the At The Beach theme for this challenge, I was just dying to color up this hippie van.

Just look at this van!  Doesn't it scream beachy?  Perhaps it needs a surfboard - LOL!  The beachy papers are from one of my favorite paper collections - At The Beach from We Are 3.  Three designs are digitally collage together for a sandy bottom, blue water, and seagull sky.  The border is Teardrop Border from My Scrap Chick.

I Love Moo with Featured Stamper

This week at Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper, I'm loving Moo! Or should I say it's a card of kindness. I made this card using a pre-colored image from I Love Moo (Kadoodle Bug). I used a computer-generated sentiment. I embellished with a couple small flowers from my stash and gems.

Get Well Gift Bag

I couldn't resist making a Get Well gift bag for this week's Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz, as our gift bag swap at the local scrapbooking group, SALSA, is also themed Get Well. The two sentiments are from We Are 3 - Special Wishes and All Occasion collections.

 

The Outlawz Twisted Thursday "Twine or String"

This week at The Outlawz, Twisted Thursday has a "Twine or String" challenge. My card is simple, but I'm pleased to announce I'm using things from my stash. I used a background pattern from the Once Upon a Time collection (We Are 3). A scalloped circle and sentiment from my stash, and I was finished.
