Our little cook!

Sarah has a goal for the next six months to help me with cooking once a week.  Her night is Wednesdays.
She was so cute about it.
Before she could start she had to make sure to put on her apron
(a gift from her cousin).
She help make everything on the plate.  She had this marvelous idea to make a fruit salad to go along with everything else.  She was most excited about it. She tried to keep it a surprise for everyone, but then kept "test-tasting".
I finally had to put it away or there wasn't going to be anything left for dinner.
She's been a great help recently.
She's at a really fun stage in life.
We've been teaching her card games and letting her stay up a little later than the younger ones.  She loves to read and does so every night for over an hour. If she's really into the book and not paying attention to the time, she'll read well past 9:00pm.  Sometimes we have to remind her to close the book and turn out the lights.
When we go to the library, we have to check out about 20 books just for her, or we're at the library every week. She reads through them quite fast, mostly because she's like her mom and has to know what's going to happen in the end and can't put the book down.
She's a keeper!
