Little Bit of Independece Day collecting

at a little secert stash bout 15 miles from my shop and came home with a truck load and trailer full of old junk....The complete 27 t has perfect sub rails and cowl..Gonna need a little work on the doors and a little on the qtrs.....Not sure what I will do with it.It all might just get sold....Got a 32 in my sights :D

"BEHIND BARS AGAIN"

Found myself behind bars again today...Been able to ride to my day job 6 of the last 7 work days as the weather has been great......So 6 days on the road to work and back total 720 miles....still sucks to have to get up and go everyday but at least its on two wheels.....

How to make Your rear look Sexy

Well I am working on my stuff for awhile as I have been doing alot of other stuff for others leaving very little time for me.

Well I had been kicking around some mild customizing ideas for the back of the Merc...Well Heres what I came up with. I had about wrote the rear bumber off as it was bent twisted and banged up. So I figured if I could hammer cut and weld it in to something and if it didnt turn out scrap it...Also the plate mount was ugly and I wanted a long lower look for the rear.. Started with this.

And ended up with this. I Hammered the bumper straight and made a recessed pocket for the plate in it...next I removed and filled the old gas filler hole in the rear body panel.Next was the rear lamps for a much lower look I removed the tail lamp assys and cut off the back up lamps section and added to the qtrs to make it have a lower more folling rear....Now on to the front end ....

More Tuck and Roll Part 2

1st attempt at what I always heard termed as Yardstick Tuck and Roll...
Next project is to start with the package tray on the Merc and if all goes well there on to other panels

Learning me some sewing.....My first attempt and real tuck and roll......Bought me a mocheen and now its on to doing the interior in my Merc......I have already sewed a purse for my daughter so who knows next comes Shoes House Of Purses and accessories.......Wonder if Tony Nancy started this way.....

R.I.P Mercury

Looks like it came down the pike today that FoMoCo Is putting the Mercury mark down......In honor of the mark here are a few of my favorite customs.....

Hoosier Hillbillies Run

A few misc shots from Saturdays run Dave Herr and I put togther for a few friends....Rain,Slow going,Blown fuses,parts falling off and flat tires still make for afun day thru the country side......
Good time riding bout 15 bikes and some good country riding...Only made about half the run and packed her in because of a few broken bikes and flooding rains on the horizon.....

Firing up the wayback machine again........

Going thru old photos as my daughter is about to graduate from her sixth grade class and some pics were needed for their program...This pic has always been one of my favorites..She was four at this time and I kept working with her so she could race at the local outlaw track in the kids power wheel div...What was so kool is the age requirement was 6 years old but they told us if she made a solo run and did okay she could race.This was the first run she ever made.

This is pic sums it up for me and what its all about.... As we head in to the teen years I am sure I will have to look back at this pic to stay normal.

Hoosier Hillbillies Ride to Fish....Fish to Ride

A few friends and me are getting to together this Saturday and meeting at my shop for a little 80 mile ride thru the backwoods hill country of southern Indiana.....ending up at another friends pond and doing some fishing and camping.....meeting from 10am to 1 pm then leaving for a ride....If you are interested in going with us email me and I will get you hooked up where to meet...This is not a sponsored ride,no prizes,no best of show,no attitudes just a bunch of old and new friends getting together to do what all brings us to together....Our Motorcycles and Riding Them....

Back From Vacation

Spent about a week and a half on the road in the Great stae of Flordia.....
Did a little riding ,catching a few waves and getting some sun...Now back to work....


I missed the intranet some but it was nice on the other hand to only have limited access....To go see what the real world was like.......
