Alright. So I know I am not even close to being the first person to start a blog. None the less I think this is a pretty big deal. I have been coaxed by a few people to try this and as I am sure it will be a time sucker, I am also hopeful it will serve a great purpose too.
Now friends and family don't have to suffer through my lengthy emails filled with picture after picture that only a mother could love, (and maybe a grandmother) gushing about my two cute boys. These emails I am sure are met with some moans and thoughts of geez, this girl needs to get a life. But I can't help it, I just love to share the lives of my boys with those who live far away.
So for my first post I am going to start with what is happening now. There isn't even a word to describe how obsessed Mackguire is with Spiderman. He recieved a costume for Christmas from his cousin Jack and hasn't taken it off since. He eats, sleeps and plays in that thing constantly. It is on my sewing machine at least once a week needing to be mended from all its wear. He is constantly asking when we can go see the "new Black Spiderman movie". May can't come soon enough for us.
Today especially I wanted to write because I didn't want to forget something so silly that he came up with. On the way home from school we were talking about projects he had done and how well he did them. I responded with a "holy cow". He in turn asks me why I say that? My thoughts immediatly jump to last nights Family Home Evening when we taught him about the Godhead. Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Sure enough his thought process went there too. He started saying "No Mom it's Holy Ghost that is amazing." After a little soft chuckle to myself I needed to explain the difference between the two expressions and the appropriate way to use them.
Their little minds are truly sponges and I especially am enjoying this time in Mack's life where he is learing so much and communicating so well. It is like relearning so many things myself. This is what I hope to accomplish with this blog space. Little pieces of my day with my kids.
