Back to Reality

After our fun long summer in Utah, we came back to California, and back to school. BOO. We have had SOME fun though. Logan was Buzzlightyear for Halloween. We had Thanksgiving with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Mark. We also got a new addition to the family... Jade Marsh was born in October and Logan just absolutely loves holding that little baby. Christmas was really fun this year. It was the first time that Logan did NOT pull all of the ornaments off of the tree and was really excited for Santa to come and bring him some presents. It was so fun to see his excitement!

Summer 2009

For the summer, we went to Grammie and Grandad's in Utah. We did a lot of fun things including going to Fish Lake in central Utah with some friends. It was good to see all of our friends and family in Utah. We also went to Boise to visit Sarah and her family. Who knew Boise was such a nice city?

SO since I didn't post anything in 2009, I am going to do some make-up posts. January I got very sick with C. Diff as a result of my car accident... I spent several months recovering with one 6 day hospital stay, 3 ER visits, and many many antibiotics. Glad that is over. Gabe quit his full time job to go back to school. He is going to be a respiratory therapist. Although two full time students don't make for the most present or wealthy parents, we are very excited that we only have 4more months until I am an RN and one more year till Gabe is done. I can't tell you much more about the first part of the year because I was just trying to recover from the accident and the illness. Grammie and Grandad came to visit when I was in the hospital... they DO love me? Yes... I do realize that the picture of me is NOT flattering, I just thought it was funny and it really represents how I felt at that time.

My baby is growing so fast.... I was thinking today that I will be so sad if I don't start writing down more of the cute things that he does and says. Today we were playing on the piano together and he was playing notes around middle C "These ones sound like swimming." Then he played the lowest keys on the piano "These keys say that there are monsters in the area!" Too cute. I can't believe I didn't even make one blog post in 2009.... I am not sure this year will be much better now that I have school AND a job, but I will try!

ROARRR!!!!!

My little dragon just loves to dress up in his costume and pretend he is a dragon. He roars and blows fire and everything. He would wear his costume everywhere if he could. Due to the unfortunate passing of my grandmother last week, we were in Arizona for Halloween and Logan was able to trick-or-treat with his cousin Reese. They were so cute together. After ringing the doorbell, having the door answered, and saying trick-or-treat, the pair of them would just try to walk in to strangers houses like getting candy was a free pass of entrance. If you can't tell, Reese is dressed as Yoda. She refused to pose for this picture because she was standing next to some scarey spiders.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last week with Grandma, Carly, and Makena but Makena missed it all. She fell asleep ten minutes before arrival and woke up as we were driving out of the parking lot. Logan loved the goats and the giant pumpkins you could sit inside of. I felt a little bad because I chose the shirt logan was wearing thinking it would be a nice contrast to the orange and make a great photo. Only problem is it is a thermal long sleeved shirt and it was about 90 degrees outside. I guess that's what you get when you live in Southern California... there are only 2 seasons... hot and cold. Fall doesn't really exist here.
