Haul iHerb - Marzo '14

¡Buenos días, chicas!
Os traigo hoy mis últimas compras en iHerb. Hasta ahora, los pedidos me tardaban entre 9 y 11 días, pero éste último tardó 16 días. Aun así, llego todo perfecto, como siempre. Es una de mis webs preferidas.

Today I will show you my latest iHerb haul. So far, orders took me between 9 and 11 days, but this one took 16 days. Still, I got everything perfect, as always. It is one of my favorite sites.

La finalidad básica del pedido era hacerme con desodorantes sin aluminio, tanto para mi, como para mi chico (os recomiendo de nuevo el documental "La Edad del Aluminio", y os animo a que lo eliminéis de vuestros desodorantes).

A mi chico le cogí el Every Man Jack, que ya visteis en mi haul de Diciembre, ya que es el mismo que le compré a mi padre. Mi padre dice que le dura menos la protección que con el desodorante químico que utilizaba, pero le funciona bien, y teniendo en cuenta lo perjudicial que es el aluminio, es preferible usar desodorante más a menudo que utilizar el que tenía antes. Tiene un precio de 5'49$.

Yo me cogí dos, uno de Tom's of Maine, y uno de Nature's Gate. Por ahora me están gustando mucho ambos. Me da la impresión que el de Nature's Gate es algo más "efectivo", pero el de Tom's of Maine huele de vicio, ¡jamás había tenido un desodorante que oliese tan bien! El de Tom's of Maine tiene un precio de 5'63$, y el de Nature's Gate cuesta 4'42$.

The basic purpose of the order was  buying deodorants without aluminum, both for me and for my guy (again, I recommend you to watch the documentary "The Age of Aluminum", and I encourage you to start using aluminum-free deodorants). 

I bought the Every Man Jack deodorant for my boy, which you may have seen in my December haul, since it is the same one that I bought for my father. My father says that it gives a bit less protection than the chemical deodorant he used to use, but it works well, and considering how bad it is aluminum, it is preferable to use deodorant more often than using a product so bad for you. It costs $5.49. 

I bought two for myself, one by Tom's of Maine  and one from Nature's Gate. For now I am really enjoying both. I get the impression that Nature's Gate is more "effective" but the one by Tom's of Maine smells SO nice, I had never had a deodorant that smells so good! The Tom's of Maine is priced at $5.63, and Nature's Gate costs $4.42.

Lo siguiente en el pedido fue el conocido acondicionador de coco de Desert Essence. No lo he usado más que un par de veces, pero por ahora no me parece nada especial. Es un producto vegano, sin gluten, parabenos, siliconas, ni derivados del petróleo. Huele mucho a coco, y tiene un precio de 6'05$.

Next in order was the famous Coconut Conditioner by Desert Essence. I have not used it more than a few times, but it doesn't look like anything special. It is a vegan product, without gluten, parabens, silicones, or petroleum. It smells a lot like coconut, and is priced at $6.05.

Otro producto de coco que se vino a casa fue este aceite de coco de la marca Cococare. Indica que es 100% aceite de coco puro, pero en la web pone que sólo es para uso externo, lo que me hace dudar de si realmente es cierto, ya que si fuese completamente puro, también podríamos consumirlo. Hay gente a la que le funciona bien como desmaquillante, pero yo lo cogí para pelo y piel. El bote tiene algo menos de 200gr. y cuesta 4'57$.

Another coconut product that came home was this coconut oil by the brand Cococare. It indicates that it is 100% pure coconut oil, but then they say that it is for external use only, which makes me doubt if it is really 100% pure, as if it was completely pure, we could also consume it. Many people use this as a makeup remover, but I bought it for my hair and my skin. The product has just under 200g. and costs $4.57.

Por último, aproveché el pedido para cogerme unas brochas.

Quería comprar desde un principio otra brocha de colorete de Real Techniques, ya que es una de mis brochas preferidas, y siempre viene bien tener una de repuesto. Tiene un precio de 9$.

Me hice también con el nuevo set Eye Enhancing Duo de Ecotools, que me tiene encantadísima. Vienen dos brochas dobles, con formas distintas, y me parecen geniales para viajar y llevar más en menos espacio. Las brochas son súper suaves, y no me han decepcionado en absoluto, os las recomiendo al 100%. Además, el set tiene un precio de 5'99$, que me parece irrisorio para lo que es el producto, la verdad.

Finally, I took the order to get me some new brushes. 

I wanted to buy from the beginning another blush brush by Real Techniques, as it is one of my favorite brushes, and always good to have an extra one. It costs $9. 

I also bought the new Eye Enhancing Duo Set by Ecotools, which has enchanted me. They come with two double brushes, with different shapes, and they seem so great for traveling and carry more in less space. The brushes are super soft and I have not been disappointed at all, I recommend them 100%. In addition, the set is priced at $5.99, which seems so low to me for how great the product is.

The Clone Wars - Naked 3 (Urban Decay)

Os traigo un nuevo post de La Guerra de los Clones, con una comparativa entre la Iconic 3 de la nueva marca Makeup Revolution, y la famosa Naked 3 de Urban Decay (mi paleta preferida actualmente).

I bring you a new post from The Clone Wars, with a comparison between the Iconic 3 from the new brand Makeup Revolution, and the famous Naked 3 by Urban Decay (my favorite palette currently).

A primera vista podemos ver que las sombras parecen clones exactos. La paleta de MUR tiene 14 gramos de producto y viene con un aplicador de esponja, mientras que la de UD tiene 15'6 gramos y viene con su brocha doble. La diferencia de precio es notable: unos 47€ la de UD, y 5€ la de MUR. ¿Queréis ver si son realmente clones, o merece la pena la diferencia de precio? ¡Pues vamos a ir viéndolo sombra a sombra!

At first glance we can see that the eyeshadows seem exact dupes. The MUR palette has 14 grams of product and comes with a sponge applicator, while UD is 15'6 grams and comes with a duo brush. The price difference is huge: about 47€ the UD one, and 5€ for the one by UD. Do you want to see if they are actually dupes, and worth the price difference? Well, let's see it shade by shade!

La primera sombra es Strange. La de UD es más pigmentada, la textura es más suave, y es algo más blanquecina/rosada que la de MUR.

The first shade is Strange. The one by UD is more pigmented, the texture is softer, and is more pinkish than MUR.

Dust es la peor sombra de la Naked 3, y, en este caso, ambas son muy polvorientas. Dust es más anaranjada, y pigmenta mejor.

Dust is the worst eyeshadow from the Naked 3 and, in this case, both are very chalky. Dust is more orange, and has better pigmentation.

En el caso de Burnout la diferencia creo que es clara: pigmenta muchísimo más que la de MUR, tanto que parecen tonos completamente distintos.

For Burnout I think that the difference is evident: it is much more pigmented than the one by MUR, which makes them seem different shades.

En el caso de Limit, el tono es el mismo, pero Limit pigmenta mejor, y la de MUR es algo satinada.

On Limit, the color is the same, but Limit has better pigmentation, and the one by MUR has a satin finish.

En el caso de Buzz, la de MUR es más polvorienta, pero son iguales.

For Buzz, the one by MUR is more chalky, but they look the same.

Trick es más rosada y brillante que la de MUR, que es algo más anaranjada, aunque son similares.

Trick is pinker and brighter than MUR, which is more orange, although they look similar.

En el caso de Nooner, la de MUR es un pelín más oscura, pero son súper parecidas. Ambas pigmentan muy bien.

For Nooner, the one by MUR is a tad darker, but are extremely similar. Both are very well pigmented.

Liar tiene mucha mejor pigmentación que la de MUR, pero el tono es el mismo.

The pigmentation on Liar is much better, but the shade is the same.

En el caso de Factory, como podéis ver, son dos sombras completa y absolutamente distintas.

For Factory, as you can see, they are two completely and totally different shades.

Mugshot es prácticamente igual que la sombra de MUR, aunque la de MUR tiene un puntillo más anaranjado, que en directo apenas es apreciable. Ambas sombras son geniales, de mis preferidas de ambas paletas.

Mugshot is almost the same from the one by MUR, although the one by MUR has is a bit orangey, which is barely noticeable in person. Both shades are great and some of my favorites from both palettes.

En el caso de Darkside, los tonos también son completamente distintos, aunque ambos me parecen preciosos y se complementan muy bien. La de MUR vendría a ser una prima oscura de Darkside.

For Darkside, the shades are also completely different, although both are beautiful and complement each other nicely. The one by MUR would be a dark cousin for Darkside.

Blackheart y la sombra de MUR son casi iguales, salvo que la de MUR tiene una base más rojiza y más destellos, lo que hace que, para mi, en este caso "gane" la de MUR.

Blackheart and the eyeshadow by MUR are almost identical, except that the one by MUR has a reddish base and more sparkles, so in this case the one by MUR "wins".

Como veis, algunos tonos sí se parecen, pero otros no, pero considero que es una buena alternativa para las personas que no puedan (o no quieran) gastarse en dinero en la paleta de Urban Decay, aunque, como se puede ver, en este caso, considero que la calidad se paga. ¿Cómo decidirnos entre ambas paletas? Para mi, la Naked 3, es, como ya he dicho, mi paleta preferida actualmente, y si creéis que son tonos que os van a gustar, y podéis permitíroslo, os recomendaría la de UD. La de MUR me parece una versión low-cost perfecta para aquellas personas que piensen que no le van a sacar tanto partido, pero les apetezca probar ese tipo de tonos, o simplemente no puedan permitirse la de UD, ya que la gama de colores es muy del estilo.
Un punto muy negativo que le veo a las sombras de MUR es que se estropean si pasamos el dedo, lo cual jamás me ha pasado ni con sombras más baratas.
Aunque la Iconic 3 no sea un clon 100% exacto, por 5€ considero que está muy bien, aunque odio no poder pasarles el dedo...

Os dejo un resumen de qué paleta creo que gana en cada aspecto:

As you see, some shades are very similar, and others are not at all, but I consider it a good alternative for people who can not (or don't want to) spend their money on the Urban Decay palette, though, as you can see, in this case, I believe that you pay for the quality. How to decide between both palettes? For me, the Naked 3 is, as I said before, my current favorite palette, and if you think that you will like this shades, and you can afford it, I recommend you the one by UD. The one by MUR seems like a perfect low-cost version for those who think that they are not going to use it that much, but they desire to try this kind of shades, or simply can not afford the one by UD, because they are quite similar.
A very negative point I see in the shadows by MUR is that if we swatch them with our finger they get spoiled, which I have never seen even in cheaper eyeshadows. 
Althought the Iconic 3 is not a complete dupe, for 5€ I think that it is great, but I hate not being able to swatch them with my fingers...

◦ Batiste - Dry Shampoo Blush ◦

Me encantan los champús en seco de Batiste, y este es uno de mis preferidos, por el olor fresco que tiene. Me sirve para espaciar los lavados.

¿Repetiría? Sin duda.

◦ Deliplus - Mascarilla Oro Líquido ◦

Es fantástica para ayudar a desenredar el pelo, y controla el encrespamiento sin apelmazar. Lo que más me gusta es el olor, y lo que menos, es que contiene alguna silicona (aunque soluble).
¿Dónde comprar? Mercadona.
¿Repetiría? Ya he repetido 3 veces.

◦ Batiste - Dry Shampoo Blush ◦

I love my Batiste dry shampoos, and this one is one of my favorites, because of the fresh smell it has. I use it to space the time between washings. 
Where to buy? Maquillalia. 
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

◦ Deliplus - Mascarilla Oro Líquido ◦

This one is great to help detangle the hair, and controls frizz without weighing the hair.  It has argan and jojoba oil, and keratin. What I like most is the smell of it, and what I dont like is that it contains some silicone (soluble). 
Where to buy? Mercadona. 
Would I repurchase? I've already repeated 3 times.

◦ Etat Pur - Agua Micelar B02 ◦

Se trata de un desmaquillante que ayuda a eliminar las impurezas, sin dejar sensación grasa. No necesita aclarado (review aquí).
¿Dónde comprar? Etat Pur.
¿Repetiría? Ahora estoy usando uno de Alcampo que me está encantando, pero repetiría.

◦ Etat Pur - Gel Limpiador B06 ◦

El gel limpiador de textura gel para piel grasa no reseca en absoluto. Me gusta, pero la caducidad es de apenas 3 meses, y no noto cambios suficientemente notables como para repetir con el producto (review aquí).

¿Repetiría? Probablemente no.

◦ Love Beauty Alchemy - Tónico ◦

Es un tónico de ingredientes naturales sin alcohol que optimiza la absorción de los productos que utilicemos después. Me encanta, especialmente la forma de aplicarlo, ya que no es necesario mancharnos las manos ni usar ningún algodón, y deja la piel muy fresca. Es caro, pero dura un montón, y creo que realmente merece la pena.
¿Dónde comprar? Love Beauty Alchemy.
¿Repetiría? Sí.

◦ Etat Pur - Micellar Water B02 ◦

It is a cleanser that helps remove impurities and makeup without leaving a greasy feeling. No need to rinse (review here).

Would I repurchase? I am now using one by Auchan that I'm loving, but I would repurchase this one.

◦ Etat Pur - Cleansing Gel B06 ◦

This is a gel cleanser for oily skin with a gel texture that does not dry my skin at all. I like it, but it expires in just 3 months, and did not notice significant changes enough to repeat with the product (review here). 

Where to buy? Etat Pur. 

Would I repurchase? Probably not.

◦ Love Beauty Alchemy - Toner ◦

It is an alcohol-free tonic with natural ingredients that optimizes the absorption of the products we use after it. I love it, especially the way it is applied, since you do not need to dirt your hands or use any cotton pads, and leaves the skin very fresh. It's expensive, but it lasts for quite a while, and I think it is really worth it. 

Where to buy? Love Beauty Alchemy. 

Would I repurchase? Yes.

◦ Crystal - Piedra de Alumbre ◦

En mi búsqueda de un buen desodorante sin aluminio, he probado algunos productos que me han decepcionado completamente. Es el caso de esta piedra de alumbre, que a pesar de no estar mal para los días en los que me sometía al mínimo movimiento, en cuanto sudas un poco, no sirve de nada. Sólo lo recomendaría para gente que apenas sude, o no se mueva demasiado.

¿Repetiría? No.

◦ Apple Island Naturals - Lip Lube ◦

Se trata del bálsamo labial vegano "Margarita". Huele a pomelo y lima, e hidrata los labios, sin ser un producto untuoso, por lo que podía usarlo para preparar el labio antes de usar un labial (review aquí).

¿Dónde comprar? Apple Island Naturals.

¿Repetiría? Sí.

◦ Chen Yu - Contorno de Ojos ◦

Es un gel de contorno de ojos para todo tipo de piel, muy muy fresquito y agradable. Se absorbe enseguida, y me deja la zona hidratada y descongestionada. Eso sí, cuidado con no aplicar el producto por la línea de las pestañas, porque entonces escuece.
¿Dónde comprar? Perfumería Actual.
¿Repetiría? Estoy probando ahora otros, pero repetiría sin duda, sobre todo de cara al verano, por esa sensación de frescor.

◦ Crystal - Deodorant Stick ◦

In my research for a good aluminum-free deodorant, I tried some products that have been completely disappointing. This is the case of this alum stone, which although is not bad for the days when I didn't move much, as you sweat a little, it does not help. I would only recommend it for people who don't sweat much, and do not live in hot places. 

Where to buy? iHerb. 

Would I repurchase? No.

◦ Apple Island Naturals - Lip Lube ◦

This is a vegan lip balm in "Margarita". Smells of grapefruit and lime, and moisturizes the lips without being a creamy product, so you could use it to prepare the lip before using a lipstick (review here).

Where to buy? Apple Island Naturals. 
Would I repurchase? Yes.

◦ Chen Yu - Contorno de Ojos ◦

It is an eye contour gel for all skin types, very cool and nice. It absorbs quickly, and leaves me the area hydrated and uncongested. Be careful not to apply the product by the lash line, because then it stings. 

Where to buy? Perfumería Actual. 

Would I repurchase? I'm testing now other eye contours, but I would definitely repeat, especially for the summer, for its feeling of freshness.

◦ Skin79 - Vital Orange BB Cream ◦

Es la mejor fórmula de BB Cream que he probado nunca, muy cubriente, con SPF 50 PA+++, y me aguanta todo el día. Mi única pega es que ahora mismo me queda oscurilla, pero en verano, si cojo color, la volveré a usar segurísimo, porque me encanta (review aquí).

¿Repetiría? Sí.

◦ Essence - Sun Club Eyeliner Pen ◦

Se trata de un eyeliner en formato boli resistente al agua. Lo compré en Beautik, y cuando lo abrí estaba prácticamente seco. No sé si todos son así, o me tocó uno defectuoso, pero fue un desperdicio de dinero, ya que se va a la basura sin haber podido usarlo siquiera.

¿Repetiría? No.

◦ Skin79 - Vital Orange BB Cream ◦

It is the best formula for BB Cream I've ever tried, with amazing coverage, SPF 50 PA+++, and looks great all day. The only downside is that it looks a bit dark on me now, but in summer, if I get a bit of a tan, I will use it for sure, because I love it (review here).

Would I repurchase? Yes.

◦ Essence - Sun Club Eyeliner Pen ◦

It is a waterproof eyeliner in a pen format. I bought it at Beautik, and when I opened it, it was almost dry. I do not know if all of them are the same, or mine was a defective one, but it was a waste of money because it is going in the trash without even being able to use it.
Where to buy? Beautik.
Would I repurchase? No.

Favoritos - Abril '14

Ya estamos en Mayo, y por ello os traigo hoy el post de mis favoritos de Abril. ¡Espero que os gusten!

We are already in May, so today I bring you on this post my April Favorites.

Empezaré por el rostro, y este mes me ha dado por las bases minerales.
He usado la mayor parte del mes la base mineral de Lily Lolo en el tono Porcelain (16'49€ el bote grande aquí), que me encanta, pero me fui de puente, me dio el solecito, y tuve que cambiar a la base de Ocean Mist Cosmetics en el tono Vanilla (Fairiest Warm) (16'95€ el bote grande aquí, y review aquí).
Ambas son geniales, especialmente aplicadas con la brocha plana de las Metal Glam de Vanity Tools (7'95€ aquí, y review aquí).

I will start with face products, and this month I've been loving my mineral foundations. 
I've used most of the month the mineral foundation by Lily Lolo in the shade Porcelain (16'49€ the full size here), which I love, but I went on vacations, and I got a bit of a "tan", and had to change to the foundation by Ocean Mist Cosmetics in the shade Vanilla (Fairiest Warm) (16'95€ the full size here, and review here). 
Both are great, especially applied with the flat brush from the Metal Glam by Vanity Tools (7'95€ here and review here).

Respecto a ojos, empezaré por el Green Liner de Boho Green Revolution (11'50€ aquí, y review aquí).

Como máscara de pestañas , me ha estado encantado la Bio de Avril (7€ aquí, y review aquí), que al principio no me parecía nada del otro mundo, y me apelotonaba un poco las pestañas, pero con el uso me está encantando. Ahora que la fórmula se ha secado un poco, me deja las pestañas bien peinaditas. Lo mejor es que al ser un producto natural resulta muy fácil de desmaquillar, al igual que el eyeliner de Boho.

Como prebase de sombras he estado todo el mes usando una sombra en stick de Jordana en el tono 04 Continuous Almond (4'75€ aquí). Me aguanta las sombras sin pliegues durante horas, además de neutralizar el tono del párpado. Sería una versión  low-cost, en formato lápiz y cruelty-free de los Paintpot de Mac.

Regarding eyes, I will begin with the Green Liner by Boho Green Revolution (11'50€ here, and review here). 

As my mascara, I have been delighted with the Bio by Avril (7€ here, and review here), which initially did not seem anything special, and made my eyelashes look quite poor, but right now I'm really liking it. Now that the formula has dried a bit, leaves a very nice look on my eyelashes. The best thing is that being a natural product is very easy to remove, like the eyeliner from Boho. 


As a base to my eyeshadows I've been using all month a shadow stick by Jordana in the shade 04 Continuous Almond (4'75€ here). It holds with no creases my eyeshadows for hours, in addition to neutralizing the shade of the eyelid. It is like a low-cost, pencil form and cruelty-free version of the Paintpots by Mac.

En cuanto a sombras, he estado usando día sí y día también mis sombras de Makeup Geek (5'99$ aquí, y review aquí).

Otro favorito sería la paleta en la que las tengo, una paleta de 12 huecos de Coastal Scents que viene imantada (8'75€ aquí), por lo que las sombras de MUG se "pegan" a ella sin problemas. Además, tiene una pestañita junto a cada sombra para que sean más fáciles de sacar. Es resistente, y de buena calidad, y os la recomiendo completamente.

As for eyeshadows, I've been using day in and day out my Makeup Geek eyehadows ($5'99 here, and review here). 

Another favorite would be the palette in which I have them, a magnetized palette for 12 eyeshadows by Coastal Scents (8'75€ here), and since it is magnetized, the MUG shadows "stick" to it without problems. It also has a gap next to each eyeshadow to make them easier to remove. It's tough, and good quality, and I fully recommend it.

Para las mejillas he tirado un montón de la paleta Lace de Sleek, sobre todo del tono que veis a la izquierda (12'75€ aquí, y review aquí).

For the cheeks I've used a lot the Lace palette by Sleek, especially the shade that you see on the left (12'75€ here, and review here).

Y por último, unos favoritos "no maquilliles".
El primero de ellos sería el champú en seco de Batiste en Tropical (3'75€ el bote pequeño aquí, y review aquí). Era el que menos me gustaba de la marca, y empecé a usarlo este mes para gastarlo. Con el uso me ha ido gustando más y más, y el olor incluso ha llegado a agradarme (¿será por que recuerda al verano?).

En cuanto a desmaquillante, he estado usando un agua micelar de Cosmia Green (la marca de Alcampo) (unos 2 ó 3€). Me funciona genial, y por el precio repito una y otra vez.

Por último, mi perfume preferido del momento: el 53F de Larome (tipo Chloé) (20'50€ el bote grande aquí, review aquí). El olor es muy floral y dura todo el día.

And finally, a few non-makeup favorites.

The first one would be the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical (3'75€ for a small one here, and review here). It was my least favorite from the brand, and started using it this month to finish it. With the use I've been liking it more and more, and I have even come to like the of it (maybe because it reminds me of summer?).

As for makeup remover, I have been using a micellar water by Cosmia Green (am Auchan brand) (about 2 or 3€). It works great, and for the price I repeat again and again.

Finally, my favorite perfume of the moment: the 53F by Larome (like Chloé) (20'50€ for 100ml here, review here). The smell is very floral and lasts all day.
