Day 7 of 12 Mornings with Mary being hosted by the gracious Rebecca. Stop by her blog to visit the beautiful Marys. I am sharing this with my usual Friday post of PPF. I've committed myself to PPF weekly, but these 12 days with Mary are also very important. I'm also linking to KAT with her Reverb 12 posts. So in a sense I'm sharing with all three outstanding blogs. Here is Mary in my smaller cactus garden. The smaller cactus garden seemed appropriate to use for her beautiful statue.
Oh Mary, the elements are starting to leave their mark.
I worry not, you will always be beautiful.
Pensive and caring are you.
You rid us of the bad and give us the good
You stand proudly watching over us.
Thank you Mary for your presence.
For Kats Reverb 12, post #7 (5 of which I've missed) this year I've had books made for my blog, books for my Vincent series, bought a bike with a basket in back, sold a few paintings, bangles and other, and have had lots of fun just being happy. There have been donations made to those with less, lots of veggies from the garden went to others, once a week a lunch from McDonald's has been given to those that have no home. There is much to be thankful for, why not share. As to the question of what I will take with me to 2013....I hope to take my family with me, the strength I have acquired, gentleness and forgiveness, open mindedness this wonderful year of 2012. Viva La Vida!
I do have to say this about blogging, it's opened up new doors. There have been wonderful people who I have shared my life with. My blog has shown what 's been cooked, where I've been, what has been done, new people encountered, sadness, happiness, and lots of other events. This is indeed very helpful to me and I would imagine to those who need to express themselves somehow. I'm thankful for these things and more.
To my PPFer's, you are definitely one of the highlights of the year. Every Friday has been a pleasure. Love this event. Thank you Eva and Kristin for hosting and please stop by their blog to visit other wonderful artists. So this is what I've worked on this week. A deer I bought at Beverly's Crafts needed life so it came to life. It does have the unibrow, but it's hard to see. It will be taking it's place at the shop I bought it from for before and after looks. I've titled it:
FRIDA DEAR BY GLORIA V.
