My Blue Blog....for now

So I changed the color of my blog to BLUE.
Perhaps I too have my blue days, but not in a sad way-just colorful. Have a bluetiful day.

Oh well, LIVE AND LEARN. I was wrong about cut and paste stuff, and these items prove it

Well I just found out something new about myself. I don't have the patience to cut and paste, glue stuff, and collage. Glue, gummy stuff and sticky hands and just yuck. I can't do it. I'd much rather use my scroll saw and cut out different things, paint them, gloss them, than sit and cut out stuff with scissors and glue or collage.

It is just too messy for me. All I did was make a gooey mess and my fingers almost stuck together. I need lessons on how to work in that craft because what I was working on looks like kindergarten stuff. :( Darn, I really wanted to do that. I may take a class on it sometime.

I'll finish up what I started and just do my Ladies of the garden. ::sigh:: I really wanted to decoupage or whatever they call it. I better stick to what I do best. Brother, that really bummed me.

  2. Gloria, those little artistic collages look beautiful! I think they turned out great. A class on it would probably make you feel better about working with glues and adhesives. Hope you do some more.

  5. Why, I'll take the Frida one with the braids and gorgeous gold earrings, pls! ;)))

Seriously, they turned out great! I'm not just saying that. I think you should keep at it until you're able to handle the glue part.

  6. Hi Gloria! This can only make you stronger as an artist. You can do it! They look lovely!

Thanks for coming to visit! I buy my 3D paints at Michael's. You can probably find it at most artsy stores.

    Creative Blessings,
    Lisa :)

  7. I laughed Gloria because I am doing the same thing. I don't do anything artsy and so I thought I would do the journal collage.

    Talk about difficult.

    Love Renee

  8. Thanks Lisa, I'll check Michaels. Yes, I'm not giving up, I'm not too concerned about how they are coming out. I am adding more to them and I think I'm getting the gist of it. Take care.
