So I was picking oranges and filled one bucket, and it was too heavy to carry back to the house. I kept calling my husband but he was in another part of the yard and couldn't hear me. My knees were acting up but I managed to walk waaaaaay back to where he was at cutting down the asparagus and leaving enough for them to come back next spring.
I need help I begged. "Okay," he said. I waited while he finished up. I looked at the walnut tree that gave us quite a few walnuts this year and counted my blessings for what God has given us. I looked at the orchard of a couple almond trees, pomegranate, peach, nectarine, and many more trees to mention. I was overwhelmed with love for our mini ranchette.
Right now it looks pretty bad because of fallen leaves and the drying out of plants and bushes. But come Spring, we will be dancing in the backyard with glee. I meant to take a picture of the bucket of oranges, I will tomorrow. There are still about 1 1/2 buckets to pick, maybe more.
I got my tickets for Lila Downs show and I am excited about that.
Well my esposo grabbed the bucket and started talking about where he wants to put the new shed and other plans we have come Spring. When things are so good, I tend to worry. I have found that when I am the happiest and content, something always happens and I pray that all will be as it is now.
I'm happy.
I'll be back later. I have to do two or three posts so that I can reach 200 posts by the end of the year.
Viva La Vida.
Oh yeah and viva mi amiga Yaya, she started walking and feels really good about it. Congrats!!
My Blue Blog....for now
So I changed the color of my blog to BLUE.
Perhaps I too have my blue days, but not in a sad way-just colorful. Have a bluetiful day.

SOC5-2015

Gloria! I am happy for you about your orchard's many fruits. I well know the feeling that God is good in giving us so much, especially when it's things we ourselves grown in our garden.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing. Rebuke the old liar! He only comes to steal. He wants to steal your blessings by lying to you and whispering in your ear that bad things might happen because you're so happy. Quote Scripture to him, and he'll run like the coward that he is!
Psalm 46: 1-3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Thank you yaya. It's always fun growing your own stuff. I rebuke the liar! That is a very stron Psalm. I will read that in my bible. Thank you very much. Have a great Sunday.
