My Blue Blog....for now

So I changed the color of my blog to BLUE.
Perhaps I too have my blue days, but not in a sad way-just colorful. Have a bluetiful day.

CAMPBELL SOUP CUPS

I didn't have a teacup yesterday so today I decided to upload some soup cups that were being distributed a while back. I think they are very cute and once in a while I do have soup in them. Most of the time they are in one of my dish cabinets and just live there. I think it was back in the 80's when I first started collecting them and these are just 4 of the 12 I have. M0st things today are made in China and I was actually surprised that 2 of the cups were made in Korea.

Problem being is that we want higher wages and lower costs, therefore everything gets made where it is cheapest to be made. I don't think that there will ever be a time when we go back to the past where we made our own things. It's too costly to be made, so we send our things to other countries and then wonder why our ideas are either being copied, or just going astray.

Oh, it's too early for thoughts like this, but then again....better late than ever. Hope you like the cups. Have a great day and I will return.

Hooray For Life or Viva La Vida.

  1. Gloria,
Today you brought me a nice memory of my mother. When I was a kid we used to walk home from school for lunch and sometimes my Mom would make Campbell's tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for us. On a cold, snowy day in Chicago Mom knew that it would make us feel better. I really miss her. Thanks for the memory.

  2. Bob, I'm glad I was able to provide nice memories of your mom. You know something, we also would have Campbell's tomato soup and grilled cheese. Something else, now my husband and I also have the same. Make yourself some tomato soup and the grilled cheese and maybe you won't miss her so much. Thx for stopping by and take care.

  3. I have some campbell soup bowls too. but mine are more like big mugs, but with the exact same design. I also got them back in the 80's. I guess they were popular back then.

MMM....grilled cheese and soup. Sounds good to me!
