above is...........night one of my japan holiday(my bro and i)............the top pic. one of the hundreds of japanese restaurants in kyoto.
2nd would me a pic of me at a restaurant in GION( kyoto).......
GION is sort of like.....Paris.
the streets are too narrow for cars..abt 2 metres.
with the narrow streets and lanterns hanging at every restaurant...
its is very charming ....
it was drizzling when we were there so the water on the streets(WHICH WAS DAMN CLEAN)
plus the yellow lighting of the shops and the lanterns.....
with the rare appearance of 5 real geisha.....
and a few japanese girls in kimonos........
the whole ambiance that night was surreal.
every few meters, there would be a small alley and every dark alley was clean and at the end ..would have a charmingly lit up red lantern(signaling that there was a charming authentic japanese restaurant waiting for you to discover) and true enough, my bro and i took the chance and choose instead to dine at one of these hidden restaurants instead of the more brightly lit ones on the "main"street.
basically day one of japan was really eventful.because we arrived in the day (its best to do so)
bro and i got lost in their super complicated mrt stations, spoke dashes of rubbish japanese(its a wonder we din get killed by the japanese ).
we walked ard our little part of kyoto and explored the food, streets and saw abit of their culture.(the cleanliness is 10 times than of singapore, the food, clothes, behaviour,etc).
i even had a conversation with a japanese lady on the bus.(she really made me feel welcome ) and all i could tell her in my poor japanese was.( konnichiwa,HIHIHI(agreeing to wadever she was saying.)hotelo doko?(asking and pointing to some map with our hotel on it...........then telling her that the guy infront of me was my bro.........onii san....watashiwa imoto.....hihihihi.......onni san ka koi......(okae my spellings screwed but i kinda agreed with her when she said my bro was cool to bring me along......and that japan is beautiful. and its refreshing to be in a new country.
YUP...
anyways kyoto was fab...we took a few photos........mostly not loaded yet because every street in kyoto kinda look the same.........and all the temples all look the same .........all are beautiful.....
so just loaded afew of the pics......

my plans to get a salamander..............has been shelved cause.....my nephew's reptile supplier called to say that........shipments have been cancelled due to high fatality figures......ARGH
recently i'm interested in getting a rabbit.
it needs to be docile
preferably small sized
and manageable (minimal grooming)
breeds i'm interested in are
holland lop..........but it grows really big
lion head lop (still unsure about its nature, someone please give me some information, the web sites on the net contradict each other)
and
the mini lop
i'm very interested in getting the mini lop because it sounds like a breed that a novice pet owner=myself, would be able to handle.
