Miss You

I totally cased Pam Tetreault's missing you cards from her blog.
She is so nice to even leave measurements!
I got this 6x6 pack of paper at Walmart and I just love all
the bold prints.  Anyone that knows me, knows that I like to dress in
bright colors so this paper was a perfect fit for me.  I had fun
making these cards.  The sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michael's and
the card stock is from Hollo's.  The punch I used is from EK Success.
I hope you enjoy these fun colors as much as I did.
And once again, thank you Pam!

OWH Sketch #223

Here is my take on OWH sketch #223.
I stamped the flower and then heat embossed it in black.  I colored it and then fussy cut it and glued it on the paper.
My paper is all from Hobby Lobby and my card stock is from Hollo's.
Embellishments are from Joann's.

Flower punch

The other day I went out to get the mail and there was an envelope
from Sandy Allnock with a flower punch in it that I had won on her blog.
The punch is from We R Memory Keepers.
I immediately went to play and this is the card I came up with.
This is the smallest size on the punch that I will use for cards.
The larger sizes will be awesome for decorating packages,
and so many other things.  I just love it.

My New Craft Room

I have always crafted in the basement. For 8 or 10 years, I had a table set up near the washer and dryer, in the chilly damp air.  When my children moved out,
my husband John turned my daughter's bedroom into a dream craft room for me.
He asked me many times what I wanted and where I wanted it etc.
I told him I wanted a large work area and everything at my fingertips.
I had a knee replacement a few years ago and I didn't want to keep getting in and out of my
chair every time I needed something.
He then designed it all himself and went to work, making me this amazing L-shaped desk and several accessories to go along with it.
Notice the windows and all that natural light!
I have 2 nice windows in that room!

This is the back side of the craft table where I have lots
of shelves to store my crafts.  I use plastic shoe boxes
and each shelf is deep enough to hold 3 of them.  I have everything
labeled so it is easier to grab whatever I need.  There are a total of 16 shelves to store
all my fun crafting supplies!

This is all my cardstock.  I got these great sturdy racks online at
a store that sells heavy duty display racks to stores. They were very reasonably priced, but
are very heavy and hold my cardstock well.  All this cardstock comes from
Hollo's paper store in Ohio, where I get all my paper.
I cut all my patterned paper to A2 card size and store it by color in the shoe
boxes on the shelves. And yes I have way more patterned paper than I will ever need!!!

This is the left side of the craft desk where I keep my cardstock,
Cuttlebug and folders, heat gun, ribbon and washi tape.
Everything within my reach!!!!
I had my Cricut set up here too but it took up a lot
of room.  I took it down and only get it out when I need
to use it.

This is my ribbon rack that my husband made for me to store all that wonderful ribbon I have.
He made the heat gun holder and and washi tape holders also.  All this from scrap wood he had
laying around.  They are just awesome and a great help to my crafting fun.
You can see I have a phone, clock and everything I need at my fingertips.

Now for my stamps!!!!  I am very partial to wood mount stamps.
This is the view from my desk.  I originally wanted my stamps hanging on the wall behind
where I sit.  My husband came up with this free standing ladder shelf that goes on the wall in front
of my desk.  He measured all my stamps and built the shelves accordingly. I am really glad he came up
with this shelf idea as I can see all the stamps in front of me and that is awesome for creativity.
In the far right of the picture you can see a lace tablecloth and my tv on top.

This is a side view of the ladder shelf to show you how it stands.
It holds a ton of stamps, so if I make a shopping trip I alway have room for more!
I keep my punches on a lower shelf and on the bottom shelf are notebooks.

The craft room was all built as a labor of love for me and I thank John
with all my heart for making me such a dream craft room that I will
cherish all my life!!!

Vellum

I have been playing with vellum and I like how this card turned out.
I ran the vellum through my cuttlebug and then glued it over yellow paper.
I added a flower embellishment from Martha Stewart and a birthday sentiment to complete it.
Much prettier in person!!

Shaving cream cards

I have been playing around with shaving cream cards this morning.
I think they came out pretty and they sure smell good too.
I didn't add too many embellishments as I thought the background was busy enough.
The shaving cream technique is fun but it sure is messy!
Enjoy!

Thank You cards

I finally finished up all those card kits from Cozy Crop last night.
I vowed to use only scraps for the month of June.
I made a bunch of scrappy backgrounds in blacks and gray tones.
I ordered some stamps from Pam T. and I was itching to "play" with them.
This is one of the stamps I got from her.  The red shiny paper was also
a bonus in the box from her.  It went great with the scrappy backgrounds.
I did not embellish the cards as I thought they were busy enough with that
background and shiny paper.
