Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! It's a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! For this challenge it's all about 'stitches'. Whether they're faux or real, we wanna see them! ;)
So, here's my card!
Lately, I have been lovin' the stitching on cards! Normally, I would have done 'faux' stitching because I don't have a sewing machine. However, if it's something simple, I've been hand stitching things. So, that's what I did with my card! ;)
Are y'all ready to play with us?!...The winner of this challenge will be our Guest Designer for the next challenge!!! How cool is that?!
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to swing on over to CAS on Sunday to see all the DT creations!
Enjoy your day!

This is your lucky day
Hey y'all! I'm just stopping in today, to share a card I made for the current Casology challenge! It's been a minute since I've played along with any challenges. So, when I saw the cue card 'lucky' I thought I'd give it a go! ;)
Here's what I came up with!
I really don't have too many stamps that have 'lucky' charms. Though, when I found one of my stamp sets, a 'light' came on in my head. Now, before that light came on, I was just gonna go the simplest way...stamp on the horseshoe in gold and let it be. But oh no, I had to do something but what?!...Why not some hand stitching?...This took a little bit of time, though I have to say, I think it was worth it?! Then I suddenly felt, I needed a little bit of something else, just to top it off. And that's when a little clear sequin came to my mind! (And just a little warning: you may be seeing quite a bit more cards with sequins! I'm getting addicted to these things! lol) Okay, so what'ya think?!...
Thanks for stopping by!

A little story...and a card.
Well, hello y'all! :)
Whew! After a adventurous trip to Ikea, I am thankful that I made it back home! My trip to Ikea the other day was overall a success. Though, coming back home, was somewhat a different story. Cruising along the highway, I was doing fine. Then my gas light dinged. Okay, this had me a little concerned because the highway I was traveling is basically a 'back road' to everything, so you're in the middle of nowhere. I just kept praying, please get me to the gas station! Needless to say, I did make it there! However, upon pulling in and leaving I noticed the front end of the car felt 'heavy' and I heard 'grinding/popping' sounds. This was not good. I pulled into a parking spot, got on the ground looked under the car, opened the hood and made sure everything was good and intact. I didn't see anything abnormal. So, I continued my way home (which luckily, was only about 10min away). Well, once again I was praying to make it home. Things just weren't feeling right. Well, I made it home!
I had my husband get in and drive it down the rest of the block. He turned right around and knew something was off. Okay, this was good in a way because I knew it wasn't just me. So, my husband began trouble shooting the problem. And he found what it was. Our wheel on the front passenger side was NOT turning!!! It was locking up! The wheel should turn freely and it wasn't! My husband was thankful I made it home, because had it locked up on me while driving, it could have been tragic! I told him, maybe me Dad was watching over me?...Certainly, God had to be?...After, hearing him tell me that, I too was thankful. After everything, my husband had a friend of ours take him to the auto store, to get everything we needed to fix the problem. (note to self: wheel bearings are not cheap.) Needless to say, we have fixed the issue and are 'good to go'. Whew!
Anyhoo, thanks for letting me tell my little story. I thought I fill you all in on things, because I have been a little bit quiet on my blog and on visiting blogs. ;) So, I do have a card to share today! It's not for any challenge nor DT work, just something I created with some free time I had. :)
I recently won some goodies, and couldn't wait to play with them! Here's what I did!
Yep. Just a simple CAS card. I used vellum with the die, then stamped on my candy wrapper in white ink. Then added my little candy sentiment in the middle of the wrapper. Once dried, I added the vellum wrapper on top of white wrapper. Then placed it on my card. To top everything off, I added a couple clear sequins. So, what do you think?!....
Thank you for stopping by, today!

yay yay yay
Hey, y'all! Happy Sunday! Do you know what time it is?!....It's time for another CAS on Sunday challenge! :) So, for this challenge it's all about "one layered" cards! How fun is that?!?...
Here's what I came up with!
Keepin' the CAS, I used Lawn Fawn's "A birdie told me" set. I used one of the little birds and colored him in, using a light blue colored pencil. Then I used a speech bubble with the words 'yay yay yay'. I thought this would be a cute congrats/you did it/etc. type of card?!.... :)
Now, are y'all ready to play?!?!...If so, you'll have the chance to win a wonderful prize from Lawn Fawn!!! How awesome is that?! ;)
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday to see all the details and DT creations!

# happy birthday
Hey y'all! I'm dropping in today, to share a card I made. :) It's not for a challenge, nor a DT assignment. Something I just manged to whip up. Now, if you are friends with with on Facebook, you might have saw my status, yesterday...?....Here's what I wrote:
"Where oh where, has my creative 'mojo' gone?....Every.Single.Thing. I try and create looks hideous!"
I seriously have had my 'mojo' leave before, but not like this! I couldn't even finish half the stuff I started because it was just that bad. (Of course, this all just how I felt.) I had tried embossing on vellum for something and after doing so, I couldn't get it to stay flat for nothing! Can you even emboss on vellum?!?...Do y'all any pointers, if so?...That was only one of the obstacles I ran into, yesterday.
What honestly helped me out, was how many crafty friends/friends/family came to the rescue! I wasn't expecting much in return for what I said. However, I ended up hearing such support and love! It truly touched me and even made me blush...I was feeling happy. :) 'Thank you', to all my crafty friends/friends/family and my blog followers! :) If it weren't for y'all, I don't think I would be doing what I'm doing...let alone, even have a blog (which, I really love my little blog).
Okay, so enough with my rambling! lol Remember, I do have a card to share! ;) I like to say that I'm doing better today, with my 'mojo'. I still don't think it's 100% there, though it's certainly better than yesterday! And I actually managed to finish a card!!! So, here goes!
I recently order some Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps and knew I needed to put them to use! Which, I still have others I haven't inked up yet and more on the way! (I think I may have a problem! lol) I masked off my card for the 'green' strip of ink. Then added my stamps. I thought the 'hashtag' would be sort of fun to add to the card, so that's what I did. ;) So, tell my what you think?!...
Thank you for stopping by! Thank you for all the love! Thank you for listening to me ramble! ;)
I will see y'all soon!
Enjoy your day!

Is age just a number?
Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :) I'm stopping in today, sharing a card I made for the current Casual Fridays challenge!
'Shades of gray'....It had me thinking. In the end, this it what I came up with! ;)
Does this card make you laugh a little?...Or is it just too cruel to give a man this card on his birthday?...lol...I know my husband would get a kick out of it. Though, I can't speak for everyone. ;)
I originally had a solid dark gray 'stash, on top of my gray pattern paper. Though when uploading my photos, noticed my dark gray just looked too close to black. So I decided to scratch that, and go with some pattern paper that was a different shade of gray, from the bottom piece peeking out. In the end, I think it worked out just as good, if not better?!.....
Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Birthday
Well, Hello everyone! :) So, I'm just now starting to feel like I'm getting back on track and caught up with things! Yaaaay! ;)
Today, I'm sharing a card I made for a friends new challenge..."Virginia's View Challenge"!
Here is my take on 'Watercolor'...
I have been playing around with this whole 'watercolor' stuff for a little bit and I don't think I'll be stopping anytime soon! lol I never really knew how addicting it can be, let alone all the different techniques there are!
So, for my card, I just continued to play around. I used spritzers (two different colors) and just some plain water. I sprayed my watercolor paper first with water and masked off my bottom half of my paper. Then sprayed on my spritzers and took the mask off and moved my paper in different directions. I only used the masked upon spraying because I didn't want a 'clean line' look. I just repeated doing this until I was satisfied with my colors/outcome. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by!

On cloud nine
Hey y'all, happy Sunday! :) It's that time again...time for another CAS on Sunday challenge! This time it's all about 'Color me pretty'! We wanna see some color(s), using markers, pencils, watercolor, etc.
So, here's what I came up with!
I was just having some fun with this card! I'm still experimenting with the whole watercolor thing, though I am enjoying it. :) Now, I'm not sure if y'all can see it or not?...But there is some blue, before the green on my card. I tried my best to capture it, though it was a challenge because of how light it is.
So, are y'all ready to play with us?!....I hope so! If you do, you have the chance of being the Guest Designer for CAS on Sunday's next challenge! How fun is that?!!... :)
Thank you for stopping by and see y'all soon!
Enjoy!
