Gotcha 2 Years

2 years now since we walked out of Artem Baby Home with Anna.  It really is so amazing how well she has adjusted and just has fit into our family so seamlessly....such a brave little thing.  She is still so loving, adventurous, loves school and is just the little social butterfly.  She is swimming now...no floaties.  She is still a petite little thing at 4 yrs old....at 37" tall and just about 29 lbs.  There is just no way I could have imagined that our rocky road to build our family could end up having such a perfect result.

Paperwork arrived...whew

Just thought I would follow up to let everyone know I got Anna's paperwork back in Saturday's mail, so pretty close to 2 weeks later.  Now I think I will work on getting back the original USCIS packet.  I'm sure that won't be a quick process.

Original paperwork....getting nervous!!

So we received Anna's passport about 10 days ago. We still have not received the packet back with all her original docs....Russian Birth Certificate & court decree mainly. Please let me know how long it took for you to get these back. I was prepared for the separate mailings, but I thought the docs would be just days behind. I'm getting worried!

Passport help??

OK, on my list for next week is to start the process to get Anna's US Passport. I really haven't looked into it at all and would welcome any help from those of you who have already done it. Where do I go to even start the process? I'm assuming I don't just go down to our local city hall or post office like for us. Do I need to contact the Russian consulate here in California? Thanks in advance. I know my fellow bloggers will be a wealth of information!!
