Today finds me joining in with this meme from Sian x

This weekend found me enjoying a few days away in the Derbyshire countryside with some lovely scrapping buds. The weather was so beautiful that we ate outside & whilst inside we laughed & chatted whilst I made 6 1/2 layouts, finished a mini book, did some hand sewing & a little crochet too. 

Today I'm feeling a little sorry for myself as I seem to be coming down with the lurgy the kids had last week, typical!!

Disney Selfies!

Today I'm heading off to spend the weekend in a lovely cottage scrapping with friends. These weekends are now a tradition. The relaxed atmosphere gives us a chance to make a small dent in our stash whilst sharing inspiration, tools & techniques.

I thought I would share with you a page I made last time I went.

I love the Simple Stories say cheese papers & they are perfect for these Disney selfies. Some of the metal embellishments I bought on our first family trip to Disney in 2006!!

Hopefully I will be able to share in coming weeks what I make but in case of missing mojo I've packed sewing & crochet too.

Today I'm joining in with this meme from Sian. 

Another busy weekend here with an IG, Insta Girls meet up at the Great Sheep Round Up, seeing all 120 Shauns in one place. The Girl volunteering as part of her D of E despite feeling off colour & I know lots of you were enjoying the Rugby but I was so thrilled to have Downton back, just a shame it's the last series.

Today finds me playing nurse to a poorly girl, typical after just week at school!

Bon Voyage x

Last weekend we said Bon Voyage to my oldest friend & her partner as they started out on an exciting journey to go & live in France. We have been friends since we met at school 33 years ago!! Moving to France has been a dream of theirs for many a year & I'm thrilled that they have had to chance to live their dream but a touch sad as we used to see them on a regular basis & go out for meals & have a laugh. We hope to go & visit them once they are settled. To mark this occasion I made a little something for them to take with them.

Based on an idea I saw on Pinterest I used an Ikea box frame as the base.

The sentiment was written using a Silhouette pen & the maps are where we live & where they are going all topped with a lovely photo of us all having a laugh.

I'm really pleased that they were thrilled with their gift & can't wait to hear all about their adventure x

This weekend has been of hellos & goodbyes see you soons...We visited a new, to us, fabric shop looking for GCSE textiles fabrics & enjoyed a family home cooked favourite of chicken pie. H went on a solo day trip to a friends & we said bon voyage to my oldest friends x

Today finds me reminiscing over 33 years of friendship & making mental plans to visit them real soon x

End of an Era x

This week after 6 years of creating for ScrapaGoGo & GoGo Getaway I have retired from their design team. During my time with them I've really changed & grown as a scrapbooker  & discovered that I really love to teach crafts to like minded people. As part of this team we have shared so much over the years & supported each other through the good, bad & ugly times & for this I am extremely grateful x

Over these 6 years I have had some really amazing times, taught all over the country, made life long friends, shared my love for crafting & even visited CHA in Anaheim.

This weekend has found me having the most wonderful time celebrating the 10th birthday of our crop, Moxley Massive with friends. The organisers Lisa & Deb did an amazing job providing lovely classes, great meals & an all round fabulous time creating wonderful memories.

Today found me showing my lovely friend Eileen around my home town.Taking in the Cathedrals, Lady Godiva & The Herbert Art Gallery.
