Another Trip South

The kids and I went with Shawn to Springfield this summer. He has an annual conference down there so we decided to tag along. We took our camper and camped out in Springfield. While Shawn went to meetings the kids and I checked out the zoo and did some shopping of course. We did get Shawn to ride the ducks with us in Branson!

Summer Fun

I'm finally back! It may take me a while but I'm going to try my best to get this updated. Since I last posted a lot of things have happened. We have been very busy going here and there and trying to get our house remodeled. Of course the house project has gone on a little longer than we thought, but you all probably know of the circumstances that have been beyond our control! Hopefully, this next year will be a little more laid back with less drama! And hopefully our house will get back to some kind of normal! So here we go back to the summer of 09.

More Indy Pics.

Here are more pics. from our trip to Indy. There is always a big festival parade the day before the race. We had really good seats again this year. There are usually big Hollywood names there. I'm sure most of you remember AC Slater from Saved By the Bell. Mario Lopez is riding in the red convertable. He still looks good! We also had a close up of Indy driver Danica Patrick. The other pics. are of race day. We were right across from the pits. We got to see a lot of action including seeing Helio Castronovez cross the finish line to win the race.

Indy 500

Here are a few pics. from our weekend in Indy. There is a lot to see at the track. They were promoting the new Transformer movie and the new 2010 Chevy Camaro. Shawn and I each picked out the car we wanted! We were also lucky enough again to get into the garage area on Friday. We met up again with his professor from MU, Dr. Miles. He always has a garage pass that he lets us borrow. Since he just has one we have to move in fast and act like we own the place or at least know what we are doing! In the garage area, you usually see them working on the cars, doing inspections, or if your lucky see someone famous. By the time we got in there this time things were quiet. But we still did see most of the cars. If you would have told me ten years I would be going to the Indy 500 I would have laughed. It's actually a good time and I actually enjoy watching the race and all the crazy people. Shawn actually got to see some nasty lady show off her tatas! He happened to turn at the wrong time! They always have a parade on Saturday before the race. We went last year and again this year. There is always a group that walks together that represents all the different nationalities and cultures. There was a man who I think was Hawaiian, wearing some sort of skirt bearing his cheeks! Of course Shawn missed it,but me and everyone else around us caught it. It was all I needed to see. No pics on that one!

Marissa's new bike

Marissa got a new bike last week from Great Aunt Terri. Of course it is a pink John Deere to go with Dylan's green John Deere bike. She even has the Barbie helmet and pads to go with it. She really took off on it. Dylan may have a hard time keeping up with her! I think she is going to be a little dare devil. It's in the blood!!!

Circus

Kim and I took the kids to the circus in Macon a few weeks ago. Shawn was gone on senior trip so I thought it would be a good time to go. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, no big tent. The kids thought it was great. And yes, I am riding an elephant. They wanted to ride really bad but would not ride without me!

Preschool Graduation

Dylan graduated from Wee Kids Christian preschool in April. He is all grown up and ready for kindergarten this fall. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I'm ready but yet a part of me is not ready to let my baby go!
