General Information: We will celebrate Colby's 12th birthday by hosting a marathon and half marathon. It will be his first. The race will be official by MM standards. The cost of the race is $30 to cover the custom medals and other special treats for the day. You'll be fed very well at this event!

Time: 8:00 am for full marathon, 8:15 for half marathon

The Course: 6.55 mile loop in Temecula. Start/finish/aid is at Pauba Ridge Park. We'll run up Pauba, cross Butterfield Stage Road, turn left at Meadows Parkway (course has a dirt path and sidewalk for the first 1.28 miles), and pass Meadows Park. There is a bathroom and water fountain at the park. Just past the park there is a dirt path to the left. Follow the path for .5 miles and turn right when it ends. You will follow the sidewalk about 1 mile to De Portola Road, where you will turn right (back to the option of sidewalk or dirt path). You will continue until the marked turn around at 3.275 miles. Turn around and go back the way you came for a total of 6.55 miles per loop. The marathon runners will complete the loop 4 times, half marathoners will run it twice.
It is advised that you bring a hydration bottle or belt. GU, water, Fluid, and other snacks will be available at the park aid station.There will also be water available at the Meadows Park you pass twice, plus at the turn around point. The course will be marked with chalk and flour.
There are 2 picnic tables at the park. It would be a good idea to bring your own chair or blanket so you can hang out and celebrate with us!
Driving directions to the start:
From Riverside or North of Temecula
Pauba Ridge Park, Temecula
South on the 15
Exit Rancho California Road in Temecula
Turn Left at the top of the off ramp
Drive about 2 miles to Butterfield Stage Road and turn right
Go up the hill to Pauba Road and turn Left
The park in on the right .65 miles from the turn. If you get to the end of the white fence, you have missed it.
From San Diego
Pauba Ridge Park, Temecula
15 North
Exit Temecula Parkway/Hwy 79 South/Indio (first exit in Temecula)
Turn right
Drive a couple miles to Butterfield Stage Road - Turn left
Drive up the hill to Pauba Road - Turn Right
