The Great Outdoors

Chris and I have been wanting to go camping for a while now. However, it has just recently started cooling off enough around here that we could go and actually enjoy it. We both really wanted to get away and get out of the big city for a few days. We figured Lucy would enjoy being able to run around outisde since we don't have a yard for her to play in. It was a fun trip and we even got to do some hiking.

Lucy off leash and exploring the campsite
Good Morning Going for a hike...... Lucy needed a water break. And we're off again. Sitting by the lake with Chris. Lucy's first encounter with a lake, pretty sure she would've jumped in if we let her. Pooped out after the hike. Chris and her both had to take naps.
Lucy decided to play rodeo dog around our campsite. Some of the other campers happened to witness this craziness and were quite amused by it as well. At least she was outside this time, instead of in our apartment as usual.

Shaggy the Dog......

AKA Lucy Diamond. We finally broke down and got her hair cut. I was so scared to take her because I thought they would completely shave her and make her look ridiculous. But Petsmart did a wonderful job and she turned out absolutely adorable.

Before......

After......

Happy Halloween!

I always said if I had a dog I wouldn't dress her up but I just couldn't resist. Lucy made the cutest turtle you've ever seen for Halloween.

Class Clown turned Honor Graduate.....

That's right Lucy graduated from puppy school. We even have pictures to prove it. She definitely was the class clown for a little while with her true stubborn nature shining through. However she was able to put her stubbornness aside and graduate with honors. We're so proud...... :D

Lucy's growing up!

Lucy is now almost 5 months old. She is getting so big and very curious. For the most part she is potty trained. We rarely have accidents. She now has to stay at home by herself during the day since I am working, I don't think she's too happy about it either. However, Lucy has managed to get out of her gated off area on 2 occasions. One time she knocked the gate down and the other time she squeezed under it. Lesson learned to us both times. Surprisingly she did not destroy our apartment. We only had a mess to clean up once, she chewed up a cord for Chris' Blackberry. But better one cord than the entire apartment!

She likes when we let her get on the couch.

Isn't she too cute? This is her first day of puppy school.

Yes she is sleeping! When she's stretched out like this she means business!

This is how she lets us know she needs more water. Sometims she thinks she needs more water even though the bowl is full, thankfully it was empty this time!

It's almost time for a haircut :(

Living la vida loca!

Well most of you already know, but if not, I took my board exam Sep. 8 and found out bright and early the very next morning that I had passed. It was such a relief! And thank goodness I passed because Chris and I had planned a quick vacation to Mexico only 2 days later. It ended up being a celebration trip! We went to Riviera Maya Mexico where they have absolutely beautiful beaches. We were only there for four days so we just relaxed at the resort for the most part. Chris and I did decide to go on a little snorkeling trip, which we both regretted later due to a case of seasickness. Nothing a good nap couldn't cure though! It was a wonderful and relaxing trip!

Our Resort!

The walkway to the beach.

Laying on the beach was so relaxing. We took afternoon naps out there!

Chris was thankful for the umbrellas!

Every day we had towel animals in our room. I only got a pic of this one though.

These little critters were everywhere. Even though the signs said not to feed them, of course people fed them.

And then they wanted to get in your bag because of course there is food in there! Idiots!

Chris and I after dinner one night.

Snorkeling. Aren't I cute?

Oh wait, Chris is definitely cuter! Ha ha!

Ok, it looks like there is nothing in this pic. But if you look closely in the bottom left corner, there is a sting ray. It was huge! And all I could think about was the crocodile hunter, aaaghh! This is sadly the only pic we got!

Our guides were pointing out the good stuff to us.

Chris and I waiting to go back to the resort after snorkeling. We don't look or feel to good at this point.

Lucy girl!

Here are some new pics and videos. She definitely keeps us entertained. Lucy is about 12 weeks in these and getting bigger every day!

She thinks she has a new friend everytime she goes in the bathroom!

She LOVES to run around our living and dining room! She squeezes behind the couches and runs under the tables. Luckily she hasn't knocked the lamps off the end tables yet. I worry about the day she figures out she can't fit in those places anymore! Caution: this video might make you dizzy.

Lucy has learned how to go down the steps!

Sometimes she lets me hold her like a baby and rub her belly. She likes a good belly rub!

She also likes to give kisses, look at that tongue!

Lucy likes to play with Chris, pretty sure he likes it as much as she does.

There's that belly rub again.
