Relaxing...& TULSA
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has fun plans for New Years Eve. I think me and Kenny may go out for dinner, idk yet. Hayden is suppose to go to his step-dads for a few days next week.
We had a very nice and quiet Christmas. I am a die-hard Steeler's fan, I have been since the late 70's, my mom always sends me Steelers stuff, this year she sent me these fuzzy jammies and footies, I absolutly love them, their so comfy.. Kenny got me this beautiful ring; I tried to get a decent picture to share but didn't do too good and my nails look horrible; I get them done on Monday so maybe then I'll be able to post a decent picture. It's beautiful. He also gave me his debit card and told me to order some new "stitchy stuff"..since he has no idea on what I "need"..lol And I guess I'm not alone when I say I don't "need" anything, but did "force" myself order a few new Spring things, also the new Country Cottage design "Winter Snow". I'm going to start stitching spring themed things soon. I HAVE to get busy "finishing" some of these things I've stitched. I've gotten horrible about finishing. I think I may get Faye to help me out some, she does beautiful work, I do stitch much better than I finish.
Here is my late TULSA, the last one for 2012. Where did this past year go? I can't beleive how fast time does go by. It seems the older we get the faster time goes. I also got a new IPOD for Christmas. I love it!! I'm not very good at electronical "thingies" LOL (don't think thats a word..) But I've had a lot of fun getting to know my new toy better the past few days. My boss has helped me a little, he has 3 of them. I came into the bedroom and found my cat (Baby) sleeping like this; she didn't even move..lol I hope everyone has a safe and very Happy New Years. I don't know what I'm going to do as to making a stitching "list" for 2013, whats everyone going to do? Hugs, Shar

Merry Christmas....
Just a short post wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas...I hope everyone is able to be with people who are special to you. I am lucky to have my oldest DD Heather and grandson Hayden with me this year. Me and Heather just made up Kenny & Haydens stocking, her and the guys made up mine earlier while I was at work and I made up Heathers a little while ago.
We didn't buy any "big" gifts this year; just kept it simple, were all having a little rough time with finances this year and decided not to go overboard and just enjoy the holiday. We are going to cook a nice big turkey and all the "fixins" and baked two pies. Some of my friends from work are coming over for pie tomorrow evening. I worked today from 11-7:30. We wasn't too busy but people were tipping really well.
Ashley is such a wonderful mom; I'm so very proud of her. She and Miss. Scarlett baked cookies all weekend, here's a few pictures of her. Ashley said Scarlett was "over" taking pictures...LOL She's such a baby doll. I miss those two girls so much. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas...xo

Stitching bug....
LOL,, sometimes it's so hard for me to come up with a "title" for my blog post. Do any of you have this problem? I finished my "Season of Love",it turned out so cute I need to "finish" it, I do plan on doing this someday soon..:) I just pulled the threads and material for my next small project; "It's Snow Cold. I love snowpeople. And I've stitched a little on my "Baby it's Cold Outside". I absolutly love the material for this picture. I used the called for material and will diffidently be ordering more of this to put in my stash pile. That's one thing I do need to work on building is my material stash; I have a lot of threads and patterns, but not too many pieces of material. I ususally just order the called for material. Here's a picture of Torry, Ashley and Miss Scarlett at a Christmas Mart in Germany.
I'm going to try...(TRY)...and not buy as much stash in 2013. THEN I saw LHN new "sheep" series and can't wait for it..lol It's a never ending cycle...on a more serious note; I know I'm not alone when I say I just can not believe someone could be so cruel as to kill innocent 6 & 7 year olds, and their teachers. Children never hurt anyone and to just go in and shoot them is beyond belief. This person was mentally ill and I wish he would have seeked help.
A few days ago we had our first snow here in Pueblo,Colorado. It was beautiful and sadly didn't last very long. Here's Kenny shoveling the sidewalk, I guess he doesn't think it's cold..lol Hugs, Shar

Stitching away...
I finished stitching my Gingerman ornie and started my newest purchase "Season of Love" ornie. I "should" finish it tomorrow. Then Monday I plan on "finishing" some of my ornies I have stitched. I'm not the best at "finishing" but I give it my best..lol I was off work today and baked 3 batches of cookies and that's about all I did; I didn't even get up til 12:20!!! I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock and it said that time..I worked a double yesterday and I guess it really wore me out..
After I got up and around we went to Walmart to return some jeans Kenny had bought and decided he didn't like; we got a few groceries and came on home. Not a very exciting day at all. I work tomorrow and then I'm off Monday and Tuesday. My daughter Heather is coming Monday and were going shopping downtown.
Here are a few pics of Scarlett putting their tree up. She's getting so big. Hope everyone is having fun getting ready for the "big day"..

Toasted or Untoasted????
How do you like your bread on a BLT? I prefer mine to be toasted; and that's what I decided sounded good for dinner tonight. :) So, after work I stopped and got some lettuce and a tomato and some bacon. It was delicous..:) I haven't made much progress on my gingerbread man, after I post this I'm gonna stitch til bedtime and hopefully make some progress.
I came across a new Cross Stitch site last week Stitch and Frog, I found a kit that I've been looking for for a while now and decided to take a chance and order it; I always order from 123 and Anita's, I'm a little leary to order from somewhere new; I've ordered from other places only to wait 3 weeks or longer for my order and I don't know about you but when I make a Cross Stitch order I'm "sweatin the mail"...lol waiting anxiously for my new bunch of "goodies". I'm like a Cross Stitch "Junkie" waiting for my next "fix"...LOL I know I'm not alone in this ladies..:) In my order from Anita she sent me some Boin size 28 needles as a thank you, I thought that was so sweet of her. Well anyways, I ordered this Trilogy kit and got it in 4 days (counting the holiday). It was packaged well and I am satisfied. I will still go to Anita first and then 123 and use Marty at Stitch & Frog for emergencies; she has some patterns the others don't have; I have a wish list started already..I'm going to "try" to cut way back on my ordering stash next year and stitch some of what I already have. I'm sure I'll still get the new ornaments and a few things like that; but this year I've kind of been a bad girl and gone way beyond what I should have..:)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgivig with your families; I was alone, I worked and we were so busy, I was so tired, I just came home and ate a little something and a piece of pumpkin pie I brought home from work and relaxed. My friend Rhonda invited me to her brothers and my other friend invited me to her families, but to be honest I was so tired and my knee was killing me, so I just came on home. Well ladies off to stitch...:) why don't you join me???
Hugs, Shar

Had a nice day....alone..:)
I hope everyone is having fun and getting all ready for the "Big Turkey Day"..:) I'm working from 9:30 til 4:00. For those of you who are new to my Blog; I am a waitress. I found it sad last year that we were so busy on Thanksgiving; don't get me wrong, I like the good money I made, but I found it sad that so many people don't cook on Thanksgiving like before...in the "Olden Days" (as my girls call it..LOL) When I was a child NO restaurants were even open on Thanksgiving. Everything has become so darn commercial; now their starting "pre-Black Friday" sales??? Doesn't that just ruin the idea? I didn't plan on going this far with this topic, sorry just got on a roll..lol
Yesterday, Haydens mom (my DD Heather) came and got him and they went to spend a few days with some friends in Springs, then their coming back here Sunday and she's gonna stay here with me til they get on their feet. I think their all coming over Thanksgiving and cooking while I'm working :)..it'll be fun. So, I have REALLY been enjoying my alone time these past few days. I could live alone, it doesn't bother me at all!! I started my Gingerbread Ornie last night, haven't stitched much on it today. Here's a little stash I got today..:) Im late posting my TULSA..
I went to the Pharmacy and picked up some meds, and then went down to my favorite shop down in Old Pueblo. They have EVERYTHING there and everytime I go there I spend a few hours just looking around. I picked up a braclet for Heather and a nice pair of earrings for my friend Dorelee at work; her Birthday is tomorrow. And I got me a Yankee Candle, little red cardinal and a braclet. There is a little bakery next door to Seabells (my store) and I went in and picked up this adorable Carrot Cake for my desert; it was so pretty and looked so good....but it was...nasty...LOL I took one bite and threw the rest away. I wasted $4.65. I hope everyone is safe and has a wonderful Thanksgiving..
Hugs, Shar

I love Anita Little Stitches...
I placed this order over the weekend and recieved it in todays mail...:) She is always so fast at getting my orders out. I really didn't "NEED" another pair of scissors; BUTTTTTTT, I fell in love with these when I saw them and I didn't have a Christmas Red pair...lol I've been admiring this Needle Minder for about a year now and had a "weak" moment and ordered it and I'm so glad I did. It's beautiful...
I have to start one of these beautiful patterns today!! I already have one skein of the WDW Dolphin thread, but learned a very important lesson when stitching with another WDW threads when it called for a second skein and when I got it; the new one was totally another colour from the one I used; so after ordering 3 other skeins, I finally got one close to what I needed...
Kenny called and they will be done the 6th instead of the 19th; so I'll be making a trip to Texas to get him in the next few weeks; better get all the new stash between now and then...lol
Gottcha!!!
Hayden told me "Grandma, somethings eatting your pumpkin"..and sure enough he was right; I was sitting here stitching yesterday afternoon and watching "General Hospital" (Guilty Pleasure.LOL) and my cat was sitting ontop my stitching chair looking out the front window and she was watching something; so I grabbed my camera and creeped to the front door and low and behold I caught the guilty party!! He (or she's) a chunky little guy..lol Well, I would suppose so; after eatting a pumpkin..I just let him or her eat it.
I also "tried" stitching while watching the Steeler/Chiefs game; but had to frog more than I was stitching; I've tried this before; stitching while watching the Steelers and it didn't work then and it doesn't work now..lol
I'm off work today and "should" run some errands, but I'm just not feeling it today; I think it's another "sweats & no makeup" day for me..I need to wash a few loads of clothes and maybe make some chili and cook in the crock pot all day...sounds like a plan...Hope everyone's having a wonderful week so far..

Stocked up....(again)
First I want to thank all you wonderful ladies for your sweet words in my previous post, I'm feeling better; well at least at the moment. LOL I guess maybe my recent "Stash Enhansment" may have something to do with it...I know I said I was going to stay away from 123 Stitch; but I just can't help myself. With Kenny away working I just need some "therapy" and stash shopping seems to be working just fine..LOL
Hayden and I are going to drive down to Texas and pick him up December 19th and take a mini family vacation on the way home. I just put in my request to take off from Dec 18 thru Dec 26 from work and I can't wait. I haven't had a vacation in 2 years. Also you all know I have to enclude a picture of sweet Scarlett; how fast she's growing..
On the stitching front I've been working on "Baby It's Cold Outside", I'm stitching it over 2 with 1 thread; I wasn't sure if I was going to like stitching with 1 thread; but I actually am enjoying myself. And I absolutly love this material Hayden is spending the night with his best friend; I just did dinner dishes and put on "Driving Miss. Daisy" one of my all time favorite movies; and am settling down to stitch a little before bed. This week seemed to go by fast for me; tomorrow is my Friday at work and I can't wait. Hope everyone on the East coast is safe from the awlful weather you've had recently. I'll keep all of you in our prayers.

I think I'm losing my &*%# mind!!!
Well ladies, not much stitching going on lately; for those of you who are with me in this HELL called "Menapause", I know you fully understand what I'm going thru...it's like another person has taken over the once sweet, patient, caring lady I USE to be..in place of her lately has been this crazy, nasty, short tempered, hateful, boring, walking around like a time bomb woman who I hardly know...
I was taken into my bosses office with him and another manager and given a "verbal warning" because I made a girl cry at work..I had to really bite my tongue and tell him "well, if you'd stop hiring these young girls who think them flirting and being sexy WAY beyond their years" I wouldn't be hateful to them....(there's rumors the manager is sleeping with said girl, he's 57 she's 19) Can you say YUCK!!!! I was told I'm not acting like myself and they don't understand it. I told them "try being trapped inside this body and mind"..I find myself thinking of things that aren't even true...This is so unfair to us ladies to have to go thru this hell, and to be told that it's just a "part of life"..well, I refuse to believe this..so I go to the Dr. and tell her what I am feeling and what's going on, she's says it's "Normal" for a lady of "my age (51) and prescribes me a anti-depressant...LOL and that it will probabley take 2 to 4 weeks before it works...Don't they have a miracle pill we can take and feel the effects right away??
Sorry to rant to all you sweet ladies, I do feel better now that I've gotten some off my chest..lol Please let me know that I am not the only one feeling this way...I think I'll go walk around the mall for a while and see if I can shop it off...lol

A little stash...
Ok, I know I said I was going to stay away from 123 Stitch, but I couldn't help it; I wasn't sure if I liked this Turkey Love pattern; I've been looking at it off and on for a while now; and I keep seeing you sweet ladies stitching it and it looks so adorable I just had to break down and get it. I'm glad I did and can't wait to stitch it.
I've been working on Delivering Autumn and its sure a fun stitch. I was off work today and went downtown where there are Antique shops & a quilt shop; I was just looking around, it was a beautiful day; a little windy but really nice. I got a few fat quarters of halloween material and a few JABC buttons. Here's Scarlett cleaning out her pumpkin so her daddy could carve it for her. Ashley said she wouldn't put her hands inside; she'd just keep saying "ewwww"..LOL
Hope everyone is doing well...

Hope everyones doing well today. I absolutly love the fall weather. I went on a walk today and really enjoyed the leaves and the cooler weather. I started my Delivering Autumn last night. I stitched while watching Dancing w/the Stars..:) Not a lot to say today; think I'm gonna go stitch some..

P.S...
I've been taking pictures to share with everyone while I've been away; I found this Chicken Spaghetti on Pinterest and made it and it's now me and Haydens favorite meal..He was playing with our cat (baby) the other night and it was so cute..and of course here's Miss Scarlett....what else can I say about her..she's getting so big and adorable. Ashley and Torry took Scarlett and had some new family pictures take. Hope everyone is doing well and stitching a lot..
I'm Baaaaacccckk...lol
I've been MIA from blogging for a little over a month now; I just didn't feel like chatting I guess? I looked at my blog and read all your posts everyday. I have no real excuse.
I've been busy stitching on my Lizzie Kate Mystery Sampler and just finished stitching on the little buttons, charms and beads this morning; I am going to take it to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to be framed. Then I got my next project all ready to start; I'm going to do Homespun Elegances Delivering Autumn. I've kind of been on a stash "binge" lately..lol That's what happens when I have too much alone time, Kennys still traveling (working)so that means a lot of alone time; and I guess I need to stay off the 123 site..lol
