Connor's 18 months old!

17 months old here on our way to church.

Connor's a good little shopping buddy. Diapers were on sale, so we loaded up.

Connor loves big kids, especially ones that take the time to play with him. This is Brooklyn, a girl in our church that I babysit sometimes.

He's cute :)

Connor loves to dip things. Here he is dipping veggie straws into ketchup...delicious

Still my climber, and thinks he is so funny and sneaky when he does it (love that cheeser face!).

He loves being naked and runs away as fast as he can after bath time.

How did my little baby get to be 18 months old?! He's still so fun and crazy. I think he's way coordinated as a little kid, my little athlete. Loves throwing balls, swinging his bat. climbing on everything, dunking in his basketball hoop, running, sliding, just being active.
He's obsessed with trucks and cars. We can't go out of the house without at least 1, 2 or sometimes 3 cars. It's funny and so cute. He just loves them. He lines them up on our window seal, then crashes them off the edge. My mom just got him this big dump truck and he loves riding that thing. He sees trucks outside and always points to them and says "oooooo" and "vroom."

He really wasn't saying many words until he turned 18 months old, then all of a sudden he started talking. He says things, then doesn't say them again for awhile. Clark is speaking french to him, so I think that's adding to the delay. He can count to three in french though and does it pretty consistently, it's really cute. I'm trying to teach him animal sounds, and he's not interested, he kind of just stares at me like "why are you making weird sounds momma?" He's obsessed with this movie called "baby babble" though. It's comical how much he likes it. It's a little video by speech pathologists that teach kids sign language. He's mesmerized by it. He really doesn't watch anything else for more than 5 minutes, but watches this entire 20 minute video without moving.
He's still my little cuddler, and it melts my heart (and many others too). He gives the best hugs and kisses. He will be playing, then come running up to me, give me a kiss, then run back off to what he is doing. Oh how I love that! He gives the best hugs, and gives them to our friends too. Such good therapy getting a big hug from a little baby.
He's in to hiding lately. He's got 3 spots in the house: behind the rocking chair, under the end table, and behind the door to our closet. If I say, "let's change your diaper" or "let's put on your pjs"...he bolts to one of those spots. Or if he gets something he knows he's not suppose to have, he runs as fast as he can to hid. It's a fun little game. Although 3 weeks ago, he took my pepperoni off the counter (I was making pizza) and ran off with it...ya I still can't find it. I'm hoping it ended up in the trash or something and not rotting away in a corner somewhere. It hasn't started smelling yet though (hahaha).
He loves playing with this daddy and walking him to the elevator (no matter what time of the day) to say bye-bye as Clark leaves to work. He went through a faze where he cried every time Clark left, it was so sad. Now he's good at waiting outside the elevator and just waving. He loves running after him, playing baseball with him, and getting thrown, higher than he should, up in the air. He's still a momma's boy though when he's hurt, tired, or just needs some lovin.
Connor will grab your hand and pull you to wherever he wants you to go. And he's adamant that you follow him. He loves eating/drinking your food and not his own. One second he's gobbling dinner up, then 2 second later takes another bite and acts like it is the most disgusting thing he has ever eaten and spits it out gagging (I don't get it). He loves fruit, especially blueberries (too bad they are out of season now and quite expensive). And loves milk SO much. He's always taking you to the fridge to get his sippy cup of milk. He's got 6 teeth, with his 2 bottom molars trying to break through now. He typically goes to bed @ 8pmish and wakes up @ 6:30amish. He'll take 1 nap in the morning (1.5 hrs). He still has the widest feet and shoes are hard to come by.
He's officially in nursery (church day care basically). It's heavenly. Although the first Sunday one of the three year old girls threw a chair at him and cut open his chin...awesome, thanks. Maybe he'll learn to share (but I'm afraid he's more going to learn words I hate like "mine." His favorite word is already "no," so we've got that one covered).
We are so lucky to have you in our lives Connor. You're the best little guy and so cute! You make us so happy...and tired :)

I tried taking 18 month old pictures with the dinosaur. They didn't go so well.

Fall is the best!

I've always loved fall, and moving to Boston is no different. The leaves are amazing and make the city gorgeous. Nothing beats a New England fall. It's one of the few saving graves to living here :)
Whenever we can, we take the time to go outside and have fun! We took two outings this week to the park and Connor was so happy. He just loves being outside. And running, and throwing, and climbing, and just being a cute toddler boy.
But when it's time to go... Watch out. The melt downs of all melt downs occurs. Even when I keep warning him time and time again, just a few more minutes then we go. Poor kid.

Fire station

The Lawrence fire station was doing a safety day for kids. I've been wanting to go to a fire station for weeks to check out the trucks and this was a perfect opportunity to go.
Connor was in heaven! He was running around all over that station pointing to the trucks, jabbering and saying "weeee oooo weeee oooo" for the noises. It was too cute. I loved watching him explore and get excited. We came home with a new toy car and a few hats too!
