Busy over wrong diagnosis
I'm so busy lately, dont even have much time to breathe. we are in the midst of preparation for our new shop. My offdays are used for meeting contractors, printing namecards, paper bags, signboard making, running around in town to get misc things done for the new shop. But i guessed its all worth. Of course i've my sisters to manage it with me, especially when i'm out of town.
Yesterday was a whole day of drama. We went out early afternoon to settle some stuff for the shop, running from west to city, then to the east. goodness. we hardly hav a proper meal. Now i know how it feels to be part of a big project. you dont even have time to go to the toilet, and i mean iterally. anyway, yep so when we finally ended our photoshoot session at 9.30pm, we were supposed to meet another contractor to further discuss for the renovation for the new shop, a call from my family and we almost went bonkers.
miu miu and lv had diarhoea for the past 4 days, but as we were extremely busy we did not even have time to bring them to the vet. but yesterday night left us with no choice. they vomited umpteen times and blood was excreted. oh my goodness. freaked us out initially, we cancelled our appointment and rushed to a 24hrs veterinary. I have to mention bf was such a dearie, he has been our chauffeur for the entire day. From the vet, miu miu and lv were both diagnosed with parvo virus, a fatal virus for dogs. and they said there is only a 50percent chance they will make it tonight. omg imagine the horrified news, angela and i cried immediately. we were referred to another veterinary which provide better hospitalisation service. and because parvo virus is extremely contagious, we were put in a quarrantine room while waiting. so from joyous vet at cck, we proceeded to animal recovery at balestier. after the call and everything when we finally registered and awaiting for treatment for both of them, the vet on call arrived and inform us they cant keep miumiu and lv in the hospital because they have to be isolated, and the only isolation ward is occupied by a dog from overseas which has contracted another virus. after a good 45mins wait at animal recovery, we rushed to mt pleasant a & e at whitley road. finally we got them admitted. but the charges were exotic. one night for both of them is $1.2k. and the doctor even suggested putting them to sleep??!!! how would we bear? they are just puppies, 1 year old and the other 5mths old. getting parvo virus when they are both fully vaccinated? we find it peculiar.
miu miu was the only one getting the parvo virus tested postive at joyous vet, but as both of them are living together and having the same symptoms, the vet confirmed that both of them are parvo postive. after all the running from one vet to another, being quarrantined as they are believed to have parvo virus. in mt pleasant, as both of them needs to be hospitalised, they have to do a parvo check on LV to confirm his diagnosis. only then, the test appeared negative. relieved but confused we thought. so we asked for another parvo test from mt pleasant for miu miu, and the result this time was negative too. so the joyous vet made a mistake with miu miu's result. omg. i could not believe it. we still had them hospitalised at mt pleasant because they were dehydrated. but at least we know they are safe for now. how can joyous make such mistake??!!
this morning, we decided to tranfer both to an animal hospital which we can afford better at jurong area. and we decided to re-test for parvo at this clinic as well. thank goodness, both were negative. how could joyous clinic even suggested putting them to sleep??!! with a wrong diagnosis??! and they only tested one dog right from the start. imagine that we innocently put them to sleep?!!
i am very glad its all over now. it has been a nightmare yesterday, thinking we were going to lose both of them made my heart sink.

together with my sisters, we have been doing online blogshop for 3years. finally we are opening a new shop in far east plaza. =)) we are in the midst of preparation. i'm so excited and looking forward to it. but that means i will be very busy too. during my off days in singapore, i will be in the shop from 12pm to 10pm. but i'm prepared to work hard.
i will keep everyone updated about the actual opening date. tentatively its 4 Aug 09.

Yu Li's farewell steamboat dinner at avril's place
Zac's cousin yu li came from taiwan to singapore for hoilday. she stayed with zac for 2 weeks, time files, it is the end of 2 weeks and its time for her to go home. because of yu li, we've programs lined ahead for the 2 weeks. science centre, sentosa, movies, mustafa, loyang dua pek gong, changi branded nasi lemak + ah gua, and suppers.
we organised a farewell steamboat dinner for her. we will miss her and we hope to see her soon.

mummy spoke to the chancellors, and then she asked to take a pic with them on stage. shortly after, a queue followed in front of the stage. haha. and after this was taken, mummy said, "ok one more please, 2 of you change place (pointing at the chancellors)" lol. sis and me stop her immediately.
then mummy wanted this shot. lol. i almost laugh till i roll on the floor. she is more excited than me.
