Public holidays
Woo~Woo~ isn't it jus great having public holidays? heez.. i took a day off on wed.. meaning i gotta work only on mon, fri and sat next week. actually it doesn't feel that great afterall when thoughts of the piled up work awaiting.. sob sob... well well..
i had a new hair cut.. only my fringe la.. haha... but i do look a bit different.... yea?

And whats the programs for next week??? i'll be staying with dear with a few roommates which includes hui and her dar, jas and nanwei at a changi flat. haha.. sounds like some kinda malaysians renting rooms. wahaha... we booked this holiday flat at changi for the 3 days PH. :) excited and looking forward to it... have some programs planned in mind by the girls.. muhahah.... ;p

updates again....
last wed 19/10/05.. after work.. i went out with my colleagues again. the usual click. buddy, xiaoman, carol, george, ryan, jeremy and mary.. :) stupid ryan.. as usual we quarrel thruout the whole journey.. though we make a promise earlier on not to bicker with each other anymore. ya ya.. think everyone is used to our bickering also... we went for dinner at lucky plaza.. then we went to play pool... heh... unfair unfair... jeremy kept winning.. it was jus merely luck ba... ~be honest.. he is good or we are jus lousy~ haha.. yaya... whatever.. but we did won 1 round k? cos mi and buddy didn't wanna giv up.. hahah... we played till ard 10 plus.. didn't noe time passes that fast also.. then mi jeremy and mary took train home. the others went the other way.. so we were talking bout education.. jeremy doing a part time degree now... giving mi my dreams and hopes again.. i want to continue to study... i want.. maybe next year ba... hopefully.... fun fun... not too bad... but i was soo tired the following day during work......
thur 20/10/05, after work i went to meet hui at chinatown. i claimed that i'm not going to buy anything... ya.. liar mi... i bought something in the end. couldn't resist the temptation. heez.. shop till ard 9plus then headed home.. tired... tired...
fri 21/10/05, after work dear came down to wait for mi as usual. then we went to queensway for dinner. hehz.. nice nice one of our fav place.. :) and again we took the wrong bus, wrong direction. from last time b4 we're tog its already like tat. haha.. he always says i'm blur.. but e fact he is too.. haha... then we went to hao's house after that. went there for mahjong.. :) but we didn't play for long.. cos i'm working the following day. dear send mi back ard 11plus..
sat 22/10/05, yea yea working with liza only. there were no patients.. so we havoc lo.. hahah.. but we still did our paperwork and stuffs.. then after that i headed home for a nap before meeting dear to buy my hp. :) hey i bought a new hp. samsung E530.. cost mi 500 bucks.. i'm officially declared broke. :( then went for dinner with dear's family at jurong east. and then mi and dear went to westmall to get something before heading back to dear's place to watch VCD with his family. nice nice.. korean series by sing hui qiao.. nice wor.. we finished the whole series tog.. hahah.. dear's mummy also fell asleep halfway.. actually i was very tired too. but we persevere.. haha... then after that dear send mi home.
sun 23/10/05, i woke up ard 9plus.. cos gotta go for breakfast treat from my uncle. my whole family with my uncles and grandma at some restuarant near east coast. had tim sum.. quite nice not too bad.. :) then dad drove us to beach road for mi to get something for dear. and then we came to tamna jurong sheng siong to top up our household stuffs.. hehez.. then we came back home le.. it was ard 4pm already.. and i did my house cleaning today... hehez... now waiting for dear to come over ba...

movies week...
friday after work, dear waited for mi as usual. then we took cab back from TTSH. oh did i mention? we took cab to work after breakfast at our coffeeshop together and took cab back from work together.. waha.. like we're loaded?? the fact is we r jus 2 empty shells.. well.. u got wat i mean... anyway... yup tat nite we headed back home to bathe ist.. then met up with dear again and we went to tiong bahru market for dinner. yummy.. though we stinked badly after our meal.. :( then we went to tiong bahru walk walk for a while.. and then we decided to catch a movie... at jurong point.. cos it would be nearer to our place. but eventually we booked tickets for a movie at 12.10am. it was still early then. thus we came back to my place ist. i lied on my bed talking to dear.. till i dozed off.. hahaz.. luckily dear didn't. so he watched tv and woke mi up bout 30 mins later for our movie. i was tired.. but i wanted to watch the movie. it was rated top in america's ranking. :) flightplan. quite nice.. not too bad.. though some parts wasn't made clear... well... we finished the movie ard 2plus i supposed. then dear stayed at my place.
saturday: i woke up ard 2pm. awakened by hui's call. didn't know wat time dear left my place.. haha... anyway ya hui asked mi to accompany her to westmall to meet chantel and one of her friend a contestant of the cityspa program held at westmall. so this kpo and excited mi jumped out of bed then headed to westmall to meet her. in the end we arrived after the whole program ended. so sad... :( but still i did managed to see her friend. mi, hui and chantel went to buy 4D and sit at mac while waiting for our bfs. dear shared cab with hui's bf to come and look for us. then dear's sis came and fetch us. together with his family, we went to marine parade near parkway for dinner. i had char kway teow.. oh no sinful.. but who cares... haha.. had tim sum as well.. was again very very full. then we went to parkway to walk walk. :) till ard 9pm, then we went to our fav place again. every weekend giant is his family's fav place also a must place to go. hehez.. then hui ringed mi up. she asked us to go watch movie.. with her and her dar. it was ard 11pm then. james drove us back to dear's place ist.. while we waited for hui and her dar to come and fetch us. cos hui is driving ma... they were late again! and wow.. she drove so fast... speeding all the way to bishan for the movie deuce bigalow. :) funny and lame movie.. it is the lamest movie i've ever watched.. so bullshit... but alrite... enjoyable still. it was freezing cold in the cinema.. i was like clinging on to dearie.. woo..... i'm shivering....... after the movie, we headed to braddell.. some where near guang ming san for supper. oh no... how can i ever slim down with dear with mi?? i reached hm ard 3.30am.. dear stayed for a while..... tired tired...
sunday: i woke up ard 1pm. and then i went over to dearie's place. as usual.. like a routine... we bought lunch back to dearie's place to eat.. erm.. the luo han fish at dear's place turned a bit black.. :( i like his fish.. it's so lively.. like it can sensed ur presence. it likes to do a few stunts like somersaults or jus splashing water.. so cute.. so active.. but what happened?? it turned a bit black?? falling sick?? or perhaps it has been few days since i went up to visit it?? yaya... its all my imaginations... anyway yup stayed at dear's place till dear's mum is back.. then we watched the korean series tog.. quite nice lei... but dunno wats the title... by song hui qiao.... oh my tian... she is so pretty.... her face and skin is like flawless.... so tender, fair and soft..... i left dear's place ard 6pm and we went to buy 4D. heez.. and then i went dinner with my family at jurong west. i went to look at hp as well.. gonna get a new phone soon..... i can't stand my lousy hp.... :(

ice skating...
i need to complain!! every morning... i really hate to take that long stretch of stairs at novena MRT station!! its so tiring esp when i'm only half awake. a walking zombie climbing stairs is definitely not a good form of excercise. suddenly recall.. tat day... dear send mi back and my house lift spoiled. mi and dear was fooling ard... playing while we climbed up the stairs slowly.. haha.. then at the 3rd storey... dear asked mi to hop onto him. and he piggy back mi... from 3rd level to the 8th. wahahah... mind u i'm not light... he is funny... he jus didn't wanna lose face ma.. so persevere till the end. then when at my place... i kept teasing him.. he didn't have the strength to retaliate.. muhaha... he is cute.. sometimes only la... how i wish every morning he can piggy back mi up tat novena tedious stairs... imagine imagine..... ;p seriously... why didn't the pp jus fix an escalator???
oh ya ya.. yday.. after work.... i went ice skating with my colleagues.. wahaha.. there were mi, buddy, carol, xiaoman, george, ryan, and jeremy. tat jeremy.. he didn't join us for skating but for dinner only... fun fun... george was fun. he can skate well.. but he made mi fall. he made most of us fall except for carol. i fell like 5 times on my right butt. dunno how i fell its always on the right butt.. now when i sit in my office... it hurts a little.. haha.. and with blisters, cuts and bruise.. its still enjoyable.. hehez.. when is the next time?? perhaps this weekend with dearie hui and her dar??? hehez... shall pester them to go... ;)
today after work i've gotta meet meiria zhen and gang... going to marina i think... for dinner.... miss them lots.... seemed like a few weeks since we last met up... :(

i'm beginning to love my job..
work for last week was hectic... plus lisa is on MC for 4 days. so work eventually piled up for mi and wong. but alright still manageable. anyway... the emotions i had developed for my work. it pained my heart when i see patients groaning in pain, when i see patients totally demoralised knowing the fact that they had cancer. i felt sad when i see them upset and worried. some even rejected chemotherapy which is the only treatment for cancer because of the cost. believe it or not. it sounded dramatic.. but its a real life situation. of cos there is some satisfaction as well. some patient's conditions improved and stabilsed. while some jus come in and tell mi that the doctor told them they only have 3 months left. how sad..
one scene... (translated from chinese-hokkien speaking)
patient a: "hi... so how is ur condition? how are u doing?"
patient b( depressed): "hai... life is so unpredictable. when it comes nobody can stop it. i feel so helpless. meaningless in life... the doc says i only hav half a year... then wat will happen to my 2 children..."
patient a: "c'mon dun be so demoralised. there is always hope. because of ur children u have to believe in miracles. like mi.... the doc says i only have 3 months.. i cried for 2 entire days when i know my condition.. but when i realised i made all my loved ones cry with mi, i decided to be strong. one of my friend also have the same illness. the doc says she only had 6months... but after a year... she is still doing well... so i had to believe in miracles.... u have to believe that cancer can be cured and u can be cured.." she gave a smile...
oh my tian... it really touches my heart when i heard their conversation. both were our chemo patients for that day. sitting side by side... one is so optimistic while the other so pessimestic...
this is my job.. i had to always explain to the patient about the financial assistance we have. we had to persuade the patient to do chemotherapy sometimes as well when they refused. we had to let them know the side effects of chemo... like loss of hair which not everybody can accept. vomiting and extremely low immunity... when i'm giving financial counselling, most patients would use medisave to pay.. some they don't even know tat their medisave only have like few dollars left... how pathetic.. hai.. then i have to seek help from medical social worker for them... its so sad.. even more depressing when patients passed away... hai...
well... this is my job.. sad but satisfied.. when patient recovered. they will always smile and thank us. even after every chemo session each day, most of the patients will thank us b4 they leave.. it feels great though... :)
back to updates of my weekends:
fri 7/10/2005: i met dear after work for dinner at orchard.. both of us were not hungry for the ist time.. haz.. so we jus shared a meal at mos burger. then we shopped ard for a while b4 kate reached. then dear headed home and i went shopping with kate. spend bout $100 again. oh my tian.. i went home ard 10 plus. dear went to booked tickets for the movie "into the blue" at JP. the movie started ard 12 midnight and ended ard 2am.. it was a nice movie i thought.. not bad... esp with sexy jessica elba.. oh gosh.. i really like her figure! then dear came back to my place.... and i woke up ard 6am for work the next day... :( sob sob... i was exhausted.. i finished work ard 1pm then i went home to change. and i went out to meet dearie.. we bought curry back to his place to eat.. i was so tired... almost dozed off at his place... then i decided to go home and sleep.. eventually i slept from 4pm to 8pm.. when i woke up i got a shock cos it was dark. ha.. suddenly couldn't even rem wat i'm supposed to do.. hahaz...
then i left home to meet jas, yanting & joe, hui & her dar, and of cos my dear. hehez.. we bought tibits and drinks then came back to my place for mahjong session.. hehez.. nanwei came ard 11 plus.. so the 4 couples... we played mahjong til ard 5am in the morning... fun fun... hui's dar such a joker... he made dear so amused.. he is the entertainer la... haha... ard 3am we ordered macdonalds to my place.. cos dear was hungry... and there came a joke... nanwei was the one who called and ordered.. but he said my name "shandy". how shandy sounds like a man?? the person on the line laughed... and when the food arrived... he came to look for "mr shandy".. wahaha... so nonsense... all thanks to jas's bf... hahah....

Back from ubin trip....
i'm back... hahaz... sounds as if i went overseas for a long time... hahaz.. ok ignore me..
well i'm back from pulau ubin.
on fri, i met hui at imm giant tog with dear to buy the stuffs for our ubin trip. we bought a no. of food which includes 1kg of tiger prawns costing us $15. for only the the 4 of us. heez.. hui left to meet her dar. while we headed back to dear's place to prepare the food..... i was excited for the trip and everything... till... dear raised his voice at mi when i did not know how to deal with the prawns and made a big mess out of it. he was stern and harsh. i hate him for tat 1 min. i felt so upset.. almost to the verge of tearing.. he shouted at mi in front of his sister because of some ugly prawns???!!! actually we were supposed to marinate the chickens as well.. in a fit of anger, i stared blankly at him and insisted tat i'm going hm to marinate the meat. he didn't allow mi go of cos.. but no matter how persistant he is... i knew i must leave his house immediately.. if not... i'm gonna burst into tears. i dunno what i'm thinking.. its only a small matter and i'm kicking a big fuss out of it... i'm jus upset tat he raised his voice at mi... or perhaps some other things tat is bothering mi? i left his house. tearing while walking slowly back to my place which is only a bus stop away. i quickly kept the food in my fridge then i went out again. i roamed along the streets alone. i'm jus feeling v upset and depressed tat day. i need to sort out my feelings. i walked slowly to seven eleven and the mobile station trying to get honey. but i jus didn't manage to buy anything. tat is not the point.. i jus need to be alone.. for a while. along the way... i gave some careful thoughts to the matter tat is bothering mi. why am i so affected? never expect myself to be so affected... really.. oh my god.. wats wrong with mi?? still.. i made my stand clear finally.. i dun wanna be a selfish person. okok... enough of my nonsenses.... i reached home ard 12am. dear called a couple of times.. at least he cares..
sat 1/10/2005: yea! the big day... for the 4 of us. heez. i jumped out of bed at 7am when i suddenly recall i forgot totally bout the marinating! hahaz.. went down to my kitchen did the marinating quick then went back to sleep. heez... till ard 9am when hui called. i meet dear at his stop then we went to enter fo early lunch. then hui and her dar took cab to pick us up.
we went straight down to marina country club at punggol. its a yatch club i think.
we took a 30mins ferry to ubin.
hui is funny. she behaved like an obasan being the ist one to run and collect the keys for our rooms. hahaz.. i like our room. its a double storey unit consisting of 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and a living room equipped with tv.
after we settled down in our rooms, we headed to the restuarant and discuss bout our BBQ food. :) then we went to rent for bicycles. and our temples visits journey began. we cycled to few temples to pray pray.. hehez.. nice nice.. me and dear went to the wishing well. threw many coins jus trying to hit the bell for our wish to be granted. hahaz.. they also prayed for 4 numbers. ;p so many steps to follow in a temple. i think a total of 28 station for us to bai bai. they were thoughtful enough to get each station labelled for goondos like me! hehez.. finally we went back to the restuarant to get our food for BBQ. wahaha... it was funny....... the fire both the men started was big. and it resulted in a speed BBQ. wahahaha.. it was really funny... rite hui? everything put on the pit for 5 secs and they're cooked! wahaha... still we enjoyed ourselves. was tired and stinko after the BBQ. it was ard 8pm then. we went back to our room to cleanup and etc. smells nice after a good bath. and we started playing cards and of cos drinking. this is the forfeit when i lost. all thanks to hui's good bf ah!!!!
hahaz.. dear brought martell there. drink drink..... halfway thru.. we went out again to buy tibits. the girls cycled while the guys play skate scooter. can't help laughing at dear when he scootered. hahha.. i couldn't stop laughing, laughing hilariously like a siao char bo till i fell from my bicycle and hit the tree. hahaha.. we went to look for tat amiable auntie. mi and hui even joined her for a short KTV session. i like her. she is nice. the guys went back to the room ist. we followed after the short ktv session. back in the room.. we continued drinking. hui and her dar... went to sleep le. it was abt 1 am ba i think. mi and dear continued to play. we played five ten and cards loser gotta drink. i was tipsy... then kinda a bit drunk. hahaz.. i rest a while till 4am.. when i was more sober... then mi and dear cooked noodles to eat.. :) then back to our rooms again. we slept till 10 plus. actually got lotsa plans in the early morning in the end all ruin by our beauty sleep. haha.. we took the ubin cab to the jetty.
then from there we took a ferry out to changi..
and had the tasty nasi lemak.. acc to hui's dar, it is a "branded" nsai lemak.. hhaah..
i was really tired.. i reached hm ard 3pm and slept all the way till 6.30pm when mummy woke mi up for dinner. my family went to jurong west for dinner. now back hm. dear came to look for mi for a while jus to hand mi the disc he burn for mi for the ubin pics... :)
