Sevark Family Choir
Didn’t know the Severtsons/Clarks were a musically talented singing family? Neither did we! J But that didn’t stop our new ward from asking us to sing in Sacrament meeting. I bet you can imagine what we’ve been doing for family night the last few weeks… Kami found a beautiful rendition of “Love At Home” which she practiced and played perfectly, the rest of us did our best to sound presentable. The moment finally arrived for us to stand and sing. We walked up to the stand and took our positions as we practiced. Kami started playing the music and everyone started singing…but me. No sound would come from my moving lips…the only thing coming from me was tears. Funny thing is, I’m not sure why? I think mostly it was just emotions from all of us standing together as a family created from unusual circumstances and making the best of the hand we’ve been dealt. But if anyone asks why I was tearful, I’ll just have to say “Didn’t you hear us??”! Just kidding...everyone sounded perfect, I’m sure we had help from above.

Happy 13th Birthday Garrett!
I can't believe my little buddy is 13 already! Seem like just yesterday the doctor wrapped him in a blanket and handed him to Cindy, then after a little bit it was my turn to hold him! Where does the time go... Garrett had a great day opening cards and presents....and having the kids get together and do his chores for him while he was at a scout activity. Garrett is an amazing kid...so kind and nice to everyone. We're proud to have him in our family. Below are some pictures of everyone watching as he opened his presents and at the birthday late-night he had with a few of his good friends... Happy Birthday Garrett!!!

Teeth Pullin' Tuesday!
This morning Garrett & Caleb had a dentist appointment to have some teeth pulled. Both of them were so excited for some reason...maybe for the money the tooth fairy will bring. First Garrett went in, then shortly after Caleb. After a little they both came walking out. Garrett only needed one tooth pulled, so he just had one big piece of gauss sticking out of his mouth, but the nurse came out with Caleb and said they pulled the two teeth they had planned for him but found another loose one and pulled it as well...so he had much more gauss sticking out of his mouth! They both looked so funny I made them take this picture before taking them to school. On the drive to school, Garrett and I were in tears from laughing so hard at Caleb...his bottom lip was so numb that he couldn't close his mouth and kept drooling on himself. As we walked in to sign them into school, Garrett said, "Caleb, try closing your mouth" -- because his numb lower-lip was just hanging there. He tried his best, but no luck pulling his lips together. I imagine that kid is going to have drool all over his class-work for the next couple hours! It was really nice to have a good laugh with Garrett & Caleb this morning! The not-so-funny part was it cost me nearly $200 to have the teeth pulled...ouch! :-)
