friday morning match was.to put it mildy.lousy.but to be blunt.we deserved to get whacked the way we did.5-15 was well.a bad scoreline.and to concede 15 on home court.-bang wall-.anyways.i know i didnt perform as well as i should.stamina's not there yet.and i'm still getting effects from the blood donation thing.head's spinning once in a while.and i can feel my heart's rapid pumping because the normal blood level is not.well.normal yet.should be ok by sunday though

so anyways.lessons learnt:
-yr 1s are lacking basics
-yr 2s need to come for more trainings.it's quite sad to see that only yazid and myself are the only 2 really committed ones in the team; what kind of impression would that be for the yr 1s?
-defensively weak; unable to cover goalie's blindspot
-offensively capable; no lack of firepower.just need to brush up on finishing
-passing is atrocious.and i mean atrocious.i'm guilty of 1 or 2 bad passes.but generally i pass/cross well.but many guys need to learn to look up before passing/crossing the ball

wednesday morning christmas was great.got to hang out with matthew jere jeanne and randall (new friend!).mass was good too.but some of the hymns could have been sung faster though.oh wells.anyhows.spent the whole of christmas day itself sleeping.making up for lost sleep

monday was slow.as it always is.so shant dive too much into it.tuesday was great.went to donate blood for the first time.and i must say.the little tube thing that they stick into your vein to draw out the blood.looks like 1.5 times the diameter of your macdonalds' straw.scary.so left arm is weak.generally i'm feeling abit funny.and i've got to prepare for a match on thursday.gonna have a rematch with the team that knocked FC Squirrels out of the div 2 semis earlier this year.hoping i'll get on the scoresheet.got a nice record going right now.scoring in every NP match i've featured in this year (including friendlies)

thursday morning wow.christmas is in 23 hours and 31 minutes time.amazing how quickly the week has gone by.anyways.wednesday we had eGarage X'Mas Rave Out.i guess it was pretty successful in that we had 16 CS teams.the down side was perhaps not many people caught on to the hype of Halo 2 so we had to scrap that.but we still left the X-Box out there for people to play if they wanted.apologies to Zak and Sarah.am really sorry that i did not inform you guys about the change in plans

am pretty exhausted the past 3 weeks.i guess i havent totally recovered from APAC yet.was actually hoping to use today and next friday (new year's eve) to catch up on much needed rest but unfortunately that's not going to happen.i have to go to school at 1145 for some christmas reception with the heads of ICT before going to class at 3pm.which brings me to my next topic.classes all end at 1pm latest today.i have not a damn clue as to why my IS tutor insists on having a class at 3-bloody-pm.and an email was sent out to everyone informing us that classrooms would be locked at 1pm.so i seriously wonder how the hell is he going to conduct his lesson.following that.looking at how things work out.i might be in town with a few fellows to go catch rebecca at her dancing competition.best of luck to her though.hope she continues the winning streak that ICT students have had this past 2 months (i.e. most of the competitions that ICT people have taken part in.be it sports or whatever.we've been winning.and speaks volumes on how ICT people are.we're not geeks.at least most of us aren't)

friday morning arent we all wasting our lives away in school? hah! sometimes i don't understand how and why some people are doing what they're doing.how they can say the things they said.it all doesn't make sense.especially those guys in my EBF class.content 100% substance/intelligence 0%.you get my point

anyway.radio's playing Trademark's Only Love.bring back quite a few memories.hah.oh well.we all move on sooner or later.yet somethings remain the same
been looking forward to the weekend.especially today.wondering how EP class is going to be like.will be having dinner with shaun benji and sue at pagi sore (cumi bali! ayam bali! belachan kangkong!)

past few days the SBs were busy decorating eGarage.used those snow sprays thing to spray over self-made stencils (courtesy of fengnan and wenru).now the place looks really like it's in the christmas mood.which reminds me.i wanna go down to orchard road probably on saturday night to take photographs.nice lightings and all during the christmas light up.would make some very interesting shots i figure

you're on my mind all the time

sunday the whole week was spent at Woodlands Sports Hall for the just concluded Asia-Pacific Floorball Championships. so anyway.made a couple of friends (girls of cos! hah!) officially got to "know" her and made friends with a couple of the japanese players. on the plus side.i got to experience the on-goings of planning and organization that goes behind the scenes of a major tournament.did match secretary and announcing the whole 5 days.all 16 matches. the matches were great.especially the singapore v japan ones.the atmosphere was unbelievable.not only were the players in the court competing.but the supporters themselves were having a go at who could be the loudest longest

today's finals featured Singapore Orchids v Japan for the ladies and Japan v Singapore Cowboys for the mens.both.sadly.lost 3-2..so close yet so far.having said that.i'm proud to be part of Team Singapore Cowboys (though i don't know why Cowboys was chosen)

have a new floorball idol.at least an Asian one.Eisaburo Okano.he was one of japan's top players.and possibly one of the best defenders in Asia itself.now he's an international refree and one of japan's coaches.anyway.he gave me his email address and signed the shaft of my Canadien Avenger..

monday slept for 2 hours.woke up slightly stoned but recovered quickly courtesy of hot milo followed by ice milo.so anyhows.this being the 1st day of the new semester.today's mainly admin work day.ISDT class went on except we did installation of Microsoft Visio 2003.set there at the back of the class playing Football Manager 2005.went for a lousy lunch at canteen 3 before heading for LAN.my class is full of weird people.shall not bother too much about them.went to eGarage to wait for shank who was takin a shit before heading to LT22 for PM briefing.following that we had the scholarship/bursary and module prize giving.picked up Top Module Prize for "General Oral English Training".the module's actually called Exploring Contemporary Issues.haha! so anyhows.alot of the SBs got awards.so congrats to the following people:

Sangar - 1st in level (IT) + scholarship
Shuren - 2nd in level (IT) + scholarship
Shaun - top in module; MMID
Ben - top in module; WM + 2nd in level (MMC)
Eugene - top in module; ASPN
Tianci - scholarship
Genevieve - top in module; dunno which module.haha!

oh.my tutor sent me a congratulatory email too.haha.looks like this sem's going to be difficult to keep up the As for IS.seems like my EP class has most of the top SBs.damnit!

decided about an hour ago to opt not to change EBF to CSP.figured that since i'm aiming for SMU to do a degree in information systems.EBF would have more relevance

saturday night been about 18 hours since i've returned from the india expedition.the flight back was quite empty.found out that it was stopping over in singapore before heading to sydney

so anyhows.the trip was fulfilling both educationally and in terms of broadening my own perspective on issues.so very quickly.the team spent 21 days in kolkata.of which the last 3 days were r&r (rest & recreation..for the uninitiated).first 2 days was spent gettin orientated with the environment.weekends were spent moving to other towns and places of interests

work was done at kishalaya home.but the term "home" is too much of an overstatement.anyhows.the kids there were very receptive to what we taught.the bonding between us ngee ann fellas and (to quote the home's superintendent) inmates of kishalaya was incredible
we had a soccer match with them (we lost 2-1) as well as a cricket match (losing by 2 runs with 2 wickets to spare; 75-77).on a personal note.the cricket game was one hell of a game for me and daryl.we combined for a total of 67 runs

over the course of the expedition.the company of gary (who's from mass comm) benjamin (aka bae yong-jun) eugene (chao keng eugene; cke v1) lionel madelyne adelyn (or isit adeline?) jeffrey daryl yifan (aka jackie chan) melvin jinnah and of course the crazy lecturer called andrew was really great

now that the trip's over.looking back.i figure the process of adapting to the environment was much easier than anticipated.perhaps it was because i was prepared for the worse.having said that.the standard of living is really different.itself quite evident from the moment the plane landed in God-knows-what-name international airport

accomodation was decent enough.surprisingly there was even tv for us to watch.and oh.it was cable tv too.so a few of the guys and myself still managed to catch a couple of the EPL and Champions League matches.highlights included seeing man utd winning newcastle.liverpool winning arsenal and a few others here and there

nights were pretty cooling.no fans needed.the place where we stayed in at barasat's called proggaloy.its a roman catholic development center/hostel.so food there was pretty standard (we got bored of it after one week) and design spartan

enough for now.am really itching to get back to playing floorball and collecting my book prize come monday.am also looking forward to meeting a few people sometime soon

happy birthday kangni!
happy birthday jesline!
happy birthday andrew! (in advanced)
