tuesday morning sunday was great.comex was pathetic.wanted to kill this fat indian fella who was damn inconsiderate.shoved me real hard.dumbass.anyhows.hightlight of the day was WOMAD (that's World of Music and Dance) held at Fort Canning.those who missed it.hoho.you guys missed one hell of a damn good festival.best performances in my opinion? local percussion band Wicked Aura Batucada and hip-hop and rap artist Daara J from senegal.went with cool-man (pun intended) himself shaun koo.poor dude has an injured knee.got 2 airbrush tatoos done.one on each arm.both have since been washed off due to sweat and soap + water..

yesterday was alright.stoned at sq@31 for quite abit before headin to DB class..went to atrium.by accident met her and mike.so set there to play my new game (ok.not that new.but i bought it on sunday.so there.its new) .man.one hell of a difficult RTS game..training was pretty alright.think i'm the penalty shot specialist for NP floorball man.been scorin penalties more than from open play.. sigh. so for now i'm in the ivp team.training's gettin more and more intensive.will have training everyday including saturday.friendly against UWC this wed probably and against SP on sat (again.tentatively).floorball carnival's on sunday.man..busy week ahead.and oh.not to forget WM and OOP assignment. sigh.

saturday morning common tests are finally over (i see shihui gloating away.your turn will come so dont laugh too much.hehe).so here's an assessment of how i think i fared:

OOP - well.it didnt go as well as i expected it to be.a pass is a pass.but it wouldnt be anything fantastic.anything better than a C+ or B would be a bonus.i'm not expecting much for my java programming modules anyway.so it wouldnt be too much of a disappoinment

ECID - i need to laugh at this.i really do.in all honest opinions.this was simply the easiest paper in the whole common test.had it done in an effective time of 8min plus.takes me the same amount of time to finish my 2.4km run.anything less than a A would be deemed a failure

NF - went much better than expected.was abit surprised that i couldnt do the calculation.as far as i know.i've only got 3 questions wrong.adding up to 12 marks.so an A is out of reach now.meaning.anything less than a B+ is going to be deemed a failure as well.besides.i'm taking networking as a major.i'll be sitting for the Cisco exam.i MUST do well for this module

DB - how do you react when at the end of the paper.you see almost all the top students walking out of the exam hall shaking their heads in disappointment? its demoralising.i know for a fact i've secured at least 35 marks for the paper.that leaves 15 marks to be found for me to pass and i'm not exactly very confident about it right now.in a way i'm hoping against hope.but well.lets just see what gives

friday was pretty alright apart from the DB test.was my first time to a KTV place.went with chris owen jolene xiangzhong kylie joey and daniel to partyworld in orchard (the one next to singtel).got quite bored hearing them sing all the chinese songs.but to be fair.some of the songs were familar and i was actually singing along.albeit to myself.haha.i actually fell asleep and wasted almost an hour there.woke up.listened to more chinese songs before finally joey and daniel put up some english ones that i could sing along to.total bill was scary.$100.05.like what the hell man.overkill.one glass (note.glass not cup) of bubble tea costs $7.50..
left around 6 to meet dad and mum near parkmall.headed home to wash up and pick up my sis before picking up mohan (family friend) and going to the airport.had dinner and sent him off.met crystle at the airport as well.said hi and went on my way with my family.so one very tiring week's over.next week will be physically tiring.am still awaiting news on the IVP team selection.like my DB paper.i'm hoping against hope that i'll be selected.i really feel i deserve the left/right-wing spot more than some of the others who are vying for the same spot.but i'm not in the selection committee (even though the selection comm is supposedly made up of the main comm members..)

thursday NF was great.fantastic really.despite getting only 3 questions wrong.those 3 questions add up to 12 marks.so i'm a little put off by that.but overall it went very well.the same could be said for ECID as well.both the ECID and NF papers were allocated 1hr 30min.and guess what? i finished them in 8min and 5min respectively.NF was done pretty quickly because of the reading time given.so i was working out the answers in my head as i read through the paper.from the moment the chief invigilator said "you may start writing".i penned down all the mcqs and moved on to the long-yet-short questions.messed up the calculations part but what the heck.haha!

was up and running at 6am.the OSI reference model kept tugging at the back of my mind.somehow it just wasnt tested the way i was expecting it to come out.so thank God for that.anyhows.left house at 7.30 with my parents.dad bought delifrance's chicken mayo croissant.so had that in school for breakfast.sat in square readin the newspaper and my NF notes and tutorials.met her (no.not clare) at around 10.having funny feelings now about her but nah.nothing much.just a passing phase i think.haha.and it'll never work out so yeah.shank.you better shut your mouth.haha! so basically sat my ass at square@31 from 8.15 to 1.15 before headin to canteen 2 to meet shank szewei irwan owen chris and a few others who came later.had my crappy lunch.went for NF (refer to top) and was first to walk out of the exam hall.went to library with shank szewei ling and aisha to study DB.met sarah guorong clive and lionel in the library too.left around 8.so yeah.am feeling pretty tired now.just cant wait for monday to come.floorball beckons.but i'm still wondering if i'm in the team or not. -frowns-

wednesday morning hah.am still up compiling my own notes for NF.not that i've not studied already.just need to read through lecture slides and tutorial sheets before i'm really prepared for NF common test.so anyways.is it me or is Hotmail getting more and more screwed up? am just so sick and tired of school work now man.been looking at CSA for the past 2 days.to the point that i actually got VERY confused while teachin shihui (who actually isnt part of my assigned junior class..-glares at shank- heh.).hope i didnt confuse her even more than i confused myself.haha! oh wells.am actually looking forward to the end of the week and the start of next (and preferbly skipping the weekend cos i dont want to have to face the church people who'll be hounding me about why i stepped down) ..oh.before i forget.welcome home anne! hope the england trip/attachment/holiday was fruitful for you

sunday the feeling cannot be described.you have to do it to feel it.to understand it.to experience it.the feeling of rolling and twisting while freefalling at speeds of up to 220km/h.the feeling of cruising in midair..they are simply indescribable.so here's how it all went:

-arrived nice and early at jumpsite; met up with adelyn
-awaited announcement for load number and jumpmaster's name
-Loads 1 and 2 were cancelled for a while due to bad weather; sat around and stoned
-got called in at Load 3; jumpmaster's Rob (nice aussie commando)
-prejump briefing (freefall and landing procedures)
-got my harness on and waited with Rob; chatted about stuff and makin funny faces at the video
-10 minute standby; our helicopter (russian Mil-8) came; Rob said "here comes our ride!" -big smile on our faces-
-lock and loaded; 'chopper took off

15 minutes later: 12,750ft above sun shiny singapore; weather: clear.BLUE SKIES

-Rob said "lets go for a spin down shall we?" hell yeah!
-crew chief of the helo (a Red Lions dude) gave the thumbs up; first guy out.ADELYN out.and the great jump out of the back of the 'chopper
-spinned and twisted a hell lot; thumbs up and a big smile to the video cam on Rob's left hand

anyhows..will be jumping off a helicopter at marina bay in roughly 10 hours and 15 minutes time..as planning would have it.i'll be jumping with adelyn at the same time slot of 0730hrs.hopefully on the same 'chopper

so.day started off great.went to boon lay to meet up with the team for our friendly match against NTU at NTU SRC (thats Sports & Recreation Center)..we lost 2-1 but i wouldnt read too much into it.we were pegged back too much.and to be damn honest.i hated the fact that after 6 months of training with the 2-2-1 system.guoliang decided to play an unfamilar 2-1-2.we just sucked at it.really.and oh.they announced half of the confirmed IVP team.and i'm feeling very pessimistc about being able to make it into the team..i just cant believe that after 1 bloody year of hard work and a hell lot of improvement in all areas of my play.i'm most likely unable to play this year.it just doesnt seem right.but hell.i'll play next year.thats a definite thing.when its my turn together with the present year 2s to take over.i'll damn make sure most of the present year 2s are able to play in at least one IVP

friday went for training at 8-freaking am today.rushed home to shower before heading back to school to meet shaun and shank to study.lets just say i've got some reading to do for OOP before i'm thoroughly prepared.went to meet clare after that.shant talk about how our outing went.let's just say that her bf's in serious shit when i meet him.i FUCKING HATE guys who make their girlfriends cry and i FUCKING HATE guys who fucking insult their girlfriends on the phone and i FUCKING HATE guys who demand that the girl obliges him everytime.YOU'RE A FUCKING DEAD MAN WHEN I SEE YOU.

tuesday morning real quick post.got up at 8.45am to go to school to help with the year 1 revision classes..man.have a sore throat from teaching CSA..went for training.think i did pretty good today.scored one.missed a total sitter but my positioning and playmaking was surprisingly exceptional -beams- anyhows.next training's on fri at 8am.have a match at NTU on saturday at 1.30pm..oh yeah.i clocked 8min 32sec for my 2.4km run :D

monday morning sunday was good.woke up late.and i mean late.around 1.45pm.so had a real late lunch with my family at fish & co.bought a book and a cover for my n-gage.hoping to get the sony ericsson p900 sometime this year.but to think about it.i dont exactly need it.it's great to have cos it means i dont have to carry my pda everywhere.it also means i can abandon checkin my mail on a laptop/pc..so anyhows.went to chua chu kang at around 5.45.met jolene at coffee bean before waiting for chris and his friend to come.went to palm gardens for shereen's birthday bbq.man.mixed emotions throughout the time.didnt want to stay for long cos i was feeling all funny and out of place.somehow i just felt that i wasnt supposed to be there..am seriously thinking about going after either clare or shereen (i'm starting to hear chris and owen and possibly jolene making a fuss outta this) both look kinda similar.character's almost the same.but given the logical choice of who's attached and who's not..well.guess you'll know the answer.and i MUST emphasise.if i do go for shereen.its only because in some ways its somewhat overdue.perhaps the feelings just got abit different last night.was abit put off by the fact that even though she was all flushed.a couple of her bowling friends forced her to down more vodka with orange mixed (Absolut Vokda + Peel Fresh Orance Juice..wtf?) ..but didnt say a word.so left her place at 10 to meet tim julian and terrance.had a chocolate martini.one pint of tiger beer.a coke and some starters.man utd lost the match 1-0.which wasnt all that unexpected.but they really should get someone to replace Quinton Fortune and Diego Forlan..

sunday morning saturday was pretty good.went to school to submit WM and ECID before meeting tianci and shank to catch shuren in action for Computron '04.NP got 2nd.which isnt all that bad.but given the circumstances in which NUS won.i have my suspicions over the questions asked and how is it the NUS foreign legion can answer in gibberish and the judges still give them the points (also note that whatever gibberish they were saying.does NOT match the "model" answer flashed on the screen) came home after that.caught up on some sleep before heading for dinner with mum and dad.then went to church.meeting was alright.but i made a decision that i hope is the right one.i'm stepping down as TL of Antioch.the situation in which i'm in now really put me in a tight spot and i feel stepping down and taking a break from Antioch and church as a whole should help recharge my batteries before my CTs, IVP and the two ICT Expeditions come.like i said before.i just want to achieve my dreams and ambitions in school.and i've got 1 year plus to do that..i'm glad and thankful for the experience being a TL has given me.and at the same time i'm sorry that i'm unable to commit 100%.it's more fair for me to step down now rather than just before the camp..praying that they'll accept my reasons for stepping down.i'm just barely able to float in this ocean of work and commitments.. =|

monday funnily enough.today feels like sunday.so anyhows.won saturday's friendly 7-2 against SP.headed for canice's farewell lunch but canice HIMself didnt turn up.so we kinda ended up at pasta mania at PS.and i simply could not eat cos she was workin that day.so just drank my soup and gave tianci my prawns & shrooms (or rather what's left of it).sunday was one very bad day.went for my driving lesson before meetin my family for dinner and then shank at city hall to meet some of the t13 people to catch the fireworks display.notes taken from that experience:

1. singaporeans have a fetish for fireworks; every single fireworks display had a background chorus of "wah! wah!"
2. the singapore police force is (a)unable to control crowds (b)incompetent in handling traffic jams
3. taxi drivers are (a)dumb ass drivers who stick to the middle lane when people are trying hard to flag them from the SIDE of the road (b)blind; they dont know how to look to their left or right to look for potential customers
4. no offense here.but some malay and chinese families like to bring their whole kampong and villages respectively everywhere they go, including the damn toilet in suntec city

was supposed to meet julian and/or tim to catch the charity shield match (which we all know by now that arsenal won 3-1) in orchard.but due to the above (namely point 2).there wasnt anyway i could get out of the city hall area.the damn idiots (traffic police.SBS.TIBS officials/whatevers) decided to barricade 2 bus-stops and filter ALL buses AND passengers to one bus-stop (the one outside embassy).and oh.MRT wasnt any better.i swear you could have just sat there and watch the number of inconsiderate S.O.Bs multiply exponentially to just under a million in a matter of minutes.you could probably grope someone and get away with it too.sick fucks.so if you havent figured by now.i didnt meet either of my friends.so went to hang around marina square with some of the t13 guys.decided around 1245 to walk to crown prince hotel to eat swensons.so we took a 30-plus minute walk and the earthquake (or natural disaster as chris calls it) couldnt have tasted any better.took a cab back.cost exactly $10.took a quick shower and crashed at around 2

woke up around 1140.headed for lunch before going on a shopping spree.bought $166+ worth of books at kino.$40+ worth of clothes at G2000 and spent $19 at zara (yes.zara.ya know? the girly place that sells nice clothes for guys too?).day was damn good till i checked my NP mail.got my first warning letters.webmastering lecture and practical.i mean.lecture? what the hell? and if i may add.WM's BORING.mistake to have taken it.thank God for NF and OOP to make up for the boredom

thursday THANK GOD i'm not in ICTS Main Comm.the workload would have been too much to handle.so anyhows.congrats to Adelyn (my skydivin partner!) and the cute year 1 girl (Rebecca Tay!) =x so am in sub-comm now.hope most of the stuff i do in ICTS is related to either music or sports.think that's where i'm at my best..
floorball..hah.i'm in line 2 for now (for ivp that is).have to fight for one of the 2 spots available in the line for playmakers.and it sure isnt going to be easy but i'll still give it a shot.i dont wanna be filmin the damn tournament this year.so my provisional line is:

so we met at 1 that day.took her stuff for her and walked to her place.waited while she changed.went to town and had lunch.cant remember the last time i was out with someone when i smiled almost 90% of the time.heart sank as she argued with her bf who was a real pain in the ass.decided to watch i,robot since she hadnt watched it.was absolutely mesmerized by her the entire time.walked around in cine.had a feeling she was about to cry cos of the unreasonable one.movie came and went.walked along orchard road towards lido for our dinner.she took my hand and we walked on.for that 1 min or less.time seemed to have stood still.it was like a dream come true.yet knowing that it might not last.somehow we just let go."dont get my hopes up" said one."you love her a lot dont you?" asked another.guess i'm still holding on to a dream.inspirations come and gone.i'm still holding on..

sunday night guess my day was pretty alright.did a bit of relecting yesterday at sentosa.guess things aren't really going well lately for me.and figured that i'm partially at fault.funnily enough.it occurred to me that not being close to my class isn't really a "i'm-the-only-one" kinda thing.know of a few (includin her) who weren't close to their own class.so probably that's what's been troubling me alot. -shrugs- added burden comes with thinking about her and the present situation.damn it man.this really sucks.
