I'm engaged :)

The proposal came unexpected. We planned for a movie and were having lunch at Indulged, a simple restaurant at the basement of The Cathay. Although it was also a date to mini-celebrate my birthday, I wasn't looking forward to any surprise nor the birthday present, ever since dear bought enough practical presents for me (the most "impressive" present was a book which he gave me right after he paid for it at the Page One counter).

Back at Indulged, he took out a large toshiba bag (larger than A4) and asked me to watch a video before he's willing to give me the present. He created a video of vectorized-us, from scratch. The video featured our NUS days and how we moved from doing things alone to doing things together. I was moved to tears before long.

The surprise came in the 2nd video! Starring our 5 little darlings "dancing" and performing somersaults! I was enjoying and laughing at the cute moves that I missed the subtle hints hidden in the song (Marry you) and in one particular image (snapshot of the diamond cert).

The last scene shocked me as our 5 darlings gathered and stared at a Diamond ring! Right after which the video ended with a question long waited, "Will you marry me?"

Dear finally took out the ring and proposed. :)

That was not the end as the awkwardness came when we were both ignorant of which hand and finger the ring should be worn. -.-!

Dearie, I'll always do. :)

First lesson

Excited, yet unprepared. Uncertain of what to expect.
It turned out that 30 minutes was longer than what I thought. The tutor just teached... non-stop. I now understand what they meant when they say "the student needs to practise on his own.." the session was for teaching only.

Embarassed when I practise at home when all I played was single note on left and right hand. It's so... beginner. I used to play a full classic piece of Fur Elise you know!? But I really suck at reading the "beansprouts". I keep reminding myself - Slow and steady.

Monday blues.

as the lyrics go "..had a bad day.." I hope all crappy things cease when the sun goes down.

Discipline case early morning, even before the flag rises *depressed*

Stay calm and handle it professionally!

Case solved without involving the management. Fine.

Lunch break and realised I left a $2 note in purse. Remembering I still owe colleague a 3 bucks. I drew $30 over the weekend didn't I? Overspent. *shucks*

I still have coins!

Survived with 2 one-dollar coins for lunch. *glad*

Thinking a motivation in the long run could cheer me up.. signed up for piano lessons with OSSIA.

Never knew Dec and Jan only have 3 lessons each yet still have to pay the full sum (4 lessons!) What kind of regulation is this!? Too late. *crap*

Nevermind.. at least I have something to look forward to this Friday after work. Just try for a month and we'll see.

NO NETS!!!? *sigh* what a nice way to make me draw money..

Home's not cooking dinner. Survived with pathetic bee hoon soup for lunch and felt hungry. (cos no $$) Maybe some poh piah and coffee shall cheer me up before I start work.

The stall was closed. signboard gone too.

Walking is a form of exercise!

Bought poh piah from the next coffeeshop.

Home sweet home. Peaceful.

Mom's home. *sigh* Yes, she ate only a piece of my poh piah but what harm can that do. So long as she stay sane.

Took a shower and just when I was tidying my wardrobe.. I couldn't find my favorite doggy towel! Gone.

Maybe Shanti will know where it is.. ask her tonight. Must be somewhere.. *fingers crossed*

Made coffee. Settled down for "high tea". Just when I rest my heart to enjoy a quiet afternoon, cleared of whatever has happened earlier... Mom started her first and worst line - money again.

Whoever started the idea of money/currency/cash or anything related ought to be VERY guilty for so much damaged relationships and broken families.

Is that what Monday blues is all about!? Then this must be the worst ever...

I'm frustrated why must there be things that happen just to spoil my day even when I'm trying my best to stay optimistic, focusing on motivations worth living for and happy about..

I want a place OF MY OWN! Where no one disturbs me or touches my stuff! Really depressed... :(

4095.2m above sea level!

This was before departure, at Changi Airport. My appetite throughout the 5 days 4 nights was amazingly good! As I was telling my colleague, "I'm not entirely excited about this trip but food!"

Our first meal on the budget flight wasn't as expected... see the pathetic ikan bilis camouflaging against the rice?

I always enjoyed bus ride. And this one from the airport to Strawberry farm hotel took us from evening till midnight due to an unforeseen accident. However I was satisfied when we finally arrived at our destination. Washed up before snuggling into the cosy beds, preparing for the strenuous escalate the next day.

Waking up early morning the next day, I learnt that people in Sabah have this unique love for char mee in their unique soy sauce. Slurp!

We then took a short ride on mini bus to the Kinabalu park. Did some warm up and ready to go!

Started off as a group, and ended up as 3 girls with a guy taking photos to entertain ourselves along the slow way up. After 5 hours of mounting, we finally saw the Pendant hut! but we're no way close... =(

Now here's about 3000metres above sea. Dinner is a distance climb away from our sleeping house though. So we have to descend and ascend back to Pendant hut just for makan.

Counting myself lucky, I was the first to shower and previleged to enjoy hot water! The heater was too slow for the rest and poor people had to shower in the cold... Brrrr
It was freezing cold at 1am but we washed up still (our mouths and hands went numb) before setting off for the summit (4095.2metres above sea!)

I felt like a Deity on heaven! with an exhuasted face...

The descend was no easy either. It took us in all near 10 hours. However we persevered while harboring the thought - If only there were cable cars here.

We went for rafting (no photos) the next day. And before we bid goodbye to Strawberry Hotel, we witness an unfinished rainbow which grew into a FULL and Double one!

Camera not wide enough but it was really more than a semi-circle!

We then visited an orphanage in the mountains, danced and played frisbee. It was meaningful despite a short one.

Next we moved to our final lodging - the Long house. Dessert was Sabah tea pancake with honey coating and Sabah tea. nice!

Long house was perfect except for the beetleSS! here's a Rhino beetle, the size of my palm.

A 10mins walk to our breakfast before we return to Home-Sweet-Home Singapore =)

Randoms

Almost couldn't log in if I had not set my password into autopilot log-in mode. This must be my first entry (hopefully not the last) after a long long time...

Like what the title suggests, this one shall be random.

Well...

Sitting right below his cage, I'm smelling hampy's stinky urine while typing this. -.-!

I got hammy a new cage (slightly bigger one) and she's adjusting to the new environment just fine. She finally overcame her height phobia. =)

We had parents meeting session today and I was the second last teacher to the locking up of school. -.-!

I did something today that helps improve my students. =)

I made myself happy through making my students feel happy today. =)

I'm waiting for my iphone to reach 100% and my eyes are near to shutting. -.o

I feel that I'm biased towards Hampy, he's cuter or maybe cos he has a sadder background. ^.^?

We're training for Mount Kinabalu and I climbed 13 x 13 storey yesterday. =)

My muscles hurt. =(

I've piles of work to be done. (sigh)

I'm more motivated at work place and lazy at home. =X

I need more time for myself. (^.^)o

I'm feeling a little hungry now... should I eat? it's unhealthy. =?

It's only 94%. I'm munching fishball crackers. -.-

I broke down a couple of times this semester. am I too attached? :(....

That's the reason (above) if I shall quit. c".)

Favorite movie of the month: Forrest Gump (2nd time watching ; new things learnt) :)

Favorite book: Alchemist (3rd time reading ; new things learnt) :)

I'm addicted to coffee again. coke sometimes. =)

There's a huge cockroach in my kitchen. what has my maid been doing... #?*^%@

I'll find discipline to do some shopping tomorrow. =)

Drank coffee at 6pm but still sleepy... ^o^

I hear crickets. (-.-)~

Tuition tomorrow 9am. o.o!!

98%. Shutting down approximated 2% so time for bed.. Zzz

New recruit!

We have a new member on 1st Sep. A teachers' day gift of dear! Supposedly xiao xiao didi as it resembles xiao didi, but was insisted as a xiao mei mei by her Mommy me!
