Cute Halloween Treat

We were excited when we stopped at the dollar store and saw Cow Tales. The packaging is perfect for Halloween and we love caramels. So, we just had to grab a few boxes for some extra special trick-or-treaters.

We had lot's of ideas of ways to decorate them. So, we will be sharing those on the blog. First, we made this one Halloween themed using our kraft classics paper pad. There are 48 pages that work great together.

After wrapping it in kraft paper, we added some scraps of ribbon, stickers, and tags. It's a simple, fun way to give a little treat for Halloween.

Home Decor Using Scrapbook Paper

We had a lot of fun making this little home decor piece with our kraft classics paper pad. The yellow area was created with our tie dye. We love how it highlights the quote we cut out using our Silhouette.

The background and flowers were made with the kraft classics pad, which is on sale this week!

More kraft projects coming soon!

Simple DIY Teacher Gift - Back to School

Hi, Connie here with a cute idea for a back to school teacher's gift using the Wishes for you Collection from S.E.I. This collection has pretty paper and cute stickers, perfect for this project.

You can make three of these notepads from one sheet of pattern paper. First you need to make a stop at an office supply store and have them cut the legal size notepads in fourths for you. Some places charge and some don't. If you like the pads to be wider, have them cut in thirds. I have made them in both sizes.

Lay your notepad on the pattern paper and size it up like you would mat a photo. Should be around 2 1/2" W x 12" L. You will need a small strip to cover up the top part of the notepad. That is what you will adhere the sticker and sentiment to.

Teacher's love these decorated notepads, that are super cute on their desk. S.E.I. has cute paper collections that would be really made up for teachers or you!!

4th of July Party Decorations

The 4th of July is one my favorite holidays, and there's nothing like bringing out the patriotic colors for some summer crafting. 'Tis the season for BBQs, so I thought it would be fun use the reds and navy's from the new Cheery Hello collection and last year's Summer Woods collection to whip up some festive party decor.

The sign is super simple to make. I was inspired by this pillow. I typed up and printed out the words in design software on my computer to make the basis of the sign. If you'd rather not go digital, you can always use alphabet stickers for the same effect. After the words are printed out, I added a few ribbon stickers and cut-out stars (don't forget the rhinestones!) To finish, place it in a frame -- my frame rotates and it's reusable, making it perfect for table centerpieces all year round.

Sitting pretty next to the sign is a utensil holder... a.k.a. patterned paper and ribbon wrapped around a short glass vase. It doesn't get easier than that, folks.

Happy crafting and happy 4th!

Handmade Berry Basket

Hi there! Today's project is a simple spring project that makes a lovely hostess gift. Just in time for berries and cherries season, the Cheery Hello collection will be released in June. I'm here to give you a sneak peek of this summer fun collection. I whipped together this berry basket and tag using the darling gingham and other patterned papers and stickers that come with this collection. I happened to have the napkins in my kitchen stash. How perfectly do they match? Love when that happens ;)

To make the handle, you simply cut a 1- to 2-inch-wide piece of 12-inch-long patterned paper and wrap it inside. Use permanent glue and/or fasteners to secure it to the basket. You could also add a layer of plastic or heavy cardstock below the paper to ensure the handle can hold the weight, or just keep the paper handle for decoration. The tag features a die-cut sentiment and stickers and buttoned embellishments, all part of this delightful ensemble.

Be sure to keep an eye out for this lovely collection coming to the SEI shop next month.

Happy crafting,
Stephanie

Candy Box Makeover Gift

Hi, Connie here with a Candy Box makeover with the help of Always Yours by S.e.i., a paper collection that is gorgeous!! It reminds me of vintage wall paper and I love that.

I started with a candy box from a trip of ours. I kept it because it reminded me of vintage candy boxes. The kind that candy was put in when you purchased each candy separately. Those were extra special. Lots of love added to those candies.

I started creating with the Bright paper dollies by S.e.i. Flowers were cut from the Always Yours collection and added to build a cluster of flowers and ivy. Bits and pieces from the Always Yours sundries were added also. The sweet sticker is from the Always Yours page titles.

I wanted the box to hold some candy and homemade cookies. I thought it would be a nice touch to add the cookie recipe on the inside of the box lid.

Pretty paper is great place to start when tackling a makeover project and Always Yours by S.e.i. was perfect for this makeover.

Happy Spring Magnets

Hi there! Have you seen the Neon Vibes Club SEI March Card Making Kit yet? It will totally have you thinking the old rhyme "April showers bring May flowers..." with all the cute rainy day/spring sunshine elements.

This winter seemed to last forever, so I am ready to bring out everything spring now that the weather is finally warming up. I thought it would be fun to make some springtime magnets for the refrigerator with the die cuts, stickers and gems included with the kit. I simply stuck on self-adhesive magnets from SEI on the back.

This project only took a few minutes. And it could make a fun spring craft project for kids, too.

Here's hoping your April day is full of sunshine,
Stephanie

DIY 2015 Mini Calendar

Hello SEI Fans!! Happy New Year!! Piali here… sharing a calendar project with you all.

We all need new calendars for each year, a mini calendar is always perfect for our pocketbook. So here is fun little 2015 calendar idea…

I started by printing out a mini calendar… I used one of the many free downloads from internet. The size of my calendar page is 4.5 X 4.75 inches. I stapled all the pages to a 4.75” X 5“ piece of Patterned paper from Calling Birds collection.

Cut 12” x 5” of a patterned cardstock. Score and fold at 2” & 7.25” to make the calendar cover. Punch two holes and thread twine thru it (as ahown in photo) then adhere the calendar pages inside.

Now comes the fun part… embellish it.

I used the die-cut and stickers from the Calling Birds collection. I also added a die-cut snowflake and numbers for the year 2015.

Here is the finished pocket calendar project…hope you liked it!! This will make a great new year’s gift! Thanks for stopping by..

Happy Crafting!!

DIY Gift Boxes for Autumn

Hi SEI fans! I recently learned how to make cute little gift boxes using two pieces of scrapbook paper, so for my second project with the September Papercrafting kit, I decided to make gift boxes with gift tags.

I used two different patterns for each box to make each box a little more fun!

For the gift tags, I used the wood clothespins included in the kit and covered them with stickers also included in the kit. Then I went ahead and actually adhered the pins to the box.

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Recipe Box

How fun it is to create something useful and pretty all from paper, glue and a few embellishments!

Today I’m using some beautiful paper by SEI from the Azalea collection to create this Recipe Box (design id #27660) from the Silhouette Store. The box assembles quite easily. You just need to bend the paper in a few places and add a bit of glue. Done! Now you can embellish it!

I added some pom pom ribbon to the edges of the box using my hot glue gun. SEI has lots of great embellishments to choose from. Take a look at the other things you could add!

This paper is pretty inside and out!

This box would be a nice way to give a small food gift along with the recipe!

You can see all of my SEI projects here (on my blog) or here (on Pinterest).
