random strangers

of late i've been having random conversations with strangers. i know it's rather odd but these conversations have turned out to be intereresting. it's funny how we started our conversations. the first one was a couple of weeks ago when i was on the bus to sg from kl. right at the beginning of the journey he asked me how long did the journey take and from then on, we just continued talking for the whole freaking 5 hour journey. i guess cus it's kinda weird if we stopped talking halfway since he's just next to me. we talked about practically everything..i know so much about him and he knows so much about me. he was an asean scholar too..what a coincidence but obviously many many yrs ago. and he moved on to achieve so much in life. he's a surgeon in sg but currently he's doing a year's research in france. he has lived in the uk for a few years. he's travelled to so many places that i wanna travel. he's happily married to a polish-australian girl and they have a lil baby girl. we talked about asian society and culture as opposed to the west. we talked about our scholar days. we talked about being a doctor. we talked about enjoying our lives while we're still young and kicking. we held some sorta intellectual conversation along the way. the second random stranger approached me a few days ago at great world city's taxi stand. i was waiting for eugene there. this elderly lady sat next to me and asked if i mind her smoking. i was reading my new book and casually said no. so she puffed away and even offered me a cigg which i politely rejected cus this is "health year"...(i'll explain that another time) haha. and then she striked up a conversation. she told me a summary of her love life and her family while i just mention that i was attached. she went into great lengths about how i should be with someone that i truly love and take time finding that someone cus she married the wrong guy..the one she didn't really love. and i found that so sad. she regrets it til this day. so like i said, i learnt so much from having random conversations with random strangers. i never knew...older ppl are really wiser. and having strangers show u that, it really makes u ponder and re-map ur life.

i was at walas last night watching eic with eddie, teikzhen and yeekiat..omg it's been forever since i've been to that place. alot of fond memories there . i rmb when me liz nic eug tim and alan went there on fridays. eug used to drive there really early like 8pm so we can get the really strategic table. haha. it used to be good times but everyone's either gone to the US, too busy to go or just plain lazy to travel there cus we dun have cars anymore. so sad. and i just realized that all my wala-days pics are gone cus they're all in my hard disk and it crashed on me. fuckk!!!
