daunting

tutorials officially begin this week and the workload really looks daunting. i've got so much readings to do for politics and history. arghh. it's amazing. i've been reading since the afternoon except for dinner and desp housewives n grey's anatomy on tv. it's interesting really although it can be a little dry at times. it's also damn hard to comprehend sometimes. maybe my brains are rusty. or maybe alcohol ciggs n weed killed much of my brain cells. i really dunno. oh well. or maybe my english just sucks. haha.

the weather is still cold. and im not use to it although sometimes i try to THINK i am. hate winter. no wonder poets in england (lit days in sec sch) had such dreary poems n similes n metaphors especially about winter. i totally understand and it's not even as cold here. the winter here is probably considered as autumn n spring for most ppl in other places. oh well. september is spring and it better come by quickly.

im so tired of reading about stuff that are too big for my head and over my head. i wish i started uni later. hmmmm...ok maybe not. i dunno. working life sucks. studying life isnt all that great. i guess we're nvr really satisfied are we?

anw, i attended bic runga's concert on sunday night. she's a new zealander and her songs are really good. different. i had an awesome time. it was only $30 but it was held at a small stage and it was sorta like a bar/restaurant. sth like walas but bigger!!!!! it was a full house. think it was sold out as well (: she's pretty famous......even charr likes her music!!!!

guess what? i have thurs off now cus i dropped social anthropology for microecons. yeahh figured it was more relevant. hmm so now....i end at 3pm on tues wed n fri. but it's good i got thurs off in return (:

classes have been really interesting. international politics is. not sure bout 20th century..first lect on fri. logic seems simple. microecons is well..econs. but im excited for classes. everything seems new and exactly what i wanted to learn!!! so it's all real good. et is going to read and study outta interest not obligation. wow..........

since tmr is my day off, or rather, today. i should try to make it productive eh? so here goes....
1. pack my room so i can finally settle in it
2. clean up living room n bathroom since jo left them in a mess for ages. she'll do up the kitchen, dining and study.
3. laundry!!
4. readings on history..the effing photocopy articles cost AUS$22 ):
5. cook myself lunch (btw, i cooked dinner the other day n it turned out good..yay!!! pasta with meatballs in tomato sauce)
6. check up on textbooks. they are exorbitant btw. *growls*


oh oh oh and there's a scuba diving club in uni. (: and they actually dive during winter. siao!!!! i would only join in summer perhaps. hehe. it costs like $43 to join them lar..so ex. sheesh. i tot would be free summore. $10 for the club n $33 for uni's sports association. *pouts*

first day of uni

ok im gonna blog a long entry today telling u about my adelaide tales. hehe.

fri:
jo's cousin picked us up from the airport. his name is justin. we bought alcohol at the airport..both me n jo (: clever eh? anw, the house is big for just the 2 of us. there are 3 rooms. one for jo, one for me, and one's the study. a huge living room. a new kitchen with white drawers and black top. gorgeous. and 2 bathrooms. anw there's even a garage. yes..we do have a car. but of course, only jo can drive hehee. me? i dun trust myself. oh oh jo's room has a walk-in wardrobe. we're sharing it. hehe it's filled now. we ran out of hangers. can u imagine the immense amt of clothes we have? horrendous. and we even ran outta space in the shoe cabinet. yeahhh..so our shoes and slippers are scattered near the doorway. oh btw, the house is still in an utter mess as im typing. we're both too lazy to pack it up. hehe..maybe later. anw, i went to get my bank account settled and we did some grocery shopping. stayed in at night to watch dvds.

sat:
had mix kebabs for lunch. went shopping for my winter clothes at harbourtown..it's really pretty cheap there compared to town..sorta like a discount stores place. aldo shoes were going at $19. quite a few branded stuff there!! blew $150 AUS. hahaa but it was essential. i was freezing!!!!!!! (: had takeaway pizza for dinner. went over to sharms place to drink. had many many shots. wanted to go clubbing but we ended up not. slept on trish's couch instead.

sun:
had fabulous pie for lunch. beef n bacon, beef mushroom, potato pie. went to sign up for a mobile plan. im using 3mobile now. it's pretty good. i pay $29 a month n get $120 worth of credit for anything. hehe. and i pay an additional $12 a month for my new phone. it's a white sony ericcson k610i wheeee..it's gorgeous i tell u. gotta get use to the msg system though. been using nokia for 5 years. but im no tech geek. all i really need is call n msg. i dun even know how to use most of my phone's functions!!!!!!!! lousy me. anw we only started packing on this day. previously we lived outta our suitcases. we the lazy ones. haha. so today was when we figured we had too much clothes n footwear between us. and packing our clothes n footwear took the rest of the day. so the kitchen, dining, living, study and our bedrooms are in utter mess!!!!!!!!!!! only our walk-in wardrobe looks neat (: but thats the impt one. haha. i think we need one week to pack...judging at our rate. tsk tsk. worse than bachelors i bet. really messy!!!!!!! trust me. oh and u know what i forgot? my bloody cam charger so i cant upload the pics from my cam cus it's totally FLAT. so silly.gosh. anw we were invited for dinner at jo's aunt's place. yummy chinese food (:
