on friday i was driving down the ECP with my gf on the way to suntec. my gf suddenly went 'hey!' and pointed in front. true enough, the unmistakable 4 circular tail lights of a Ferrari 360 Spider were ahead of us. the driver was driving suprisingly slowly and was in the centre lane while i was in the right lane. so i then pulled up along side and basically gave him a massive thumbs-up and grinned like an idiot. the driver gave a smile and nod in acknowledgement. I then continued on and passed the ferrari. he the pulled into the right lane behind me, and i decided to get out of the way and moved to the centre lane. the ferrari then dropped a gear and basically screamed past with passenger sticking his hand up and doing a victory sign. man i practically orgased on the spot; to hear what a screaming ferrari sounds like, take a look at this. crank up the volume and feel the hairs on your neck stand! imagine listening to that in real life! *jon starts to make more orgasmic noises* i swear within 2 secs the guy was almost out of sight, but later we both exited the highway and because of traffic i got quite close to him again, we both drove around the big suntec round-a-bout and you could feel the engine reverberating through the whole place! haha i was damn high after that and then went on relive it by playing F355 Challenge (manual with clutch of course) at the suntec arcade;P
justice?
basically 2 men, for different reasons have gotten into trouble. One of them was suspected of stealing a handphone, and he later admitted it (his second offence). The other guy was caught for drug consumption outside camp.
basically, i have a problem with the punishments that these 2 different offences carry. the steal handphone guy is gonna get a maximum of 40 days in the detention barracks, but the drug consumption guy will get 18, yes thats right E-I-G-H-T-E-E-N MONTHS in DB.
in these two particular cases, i have to admit my views might be slightly biased. I happen to know the drug guy personally, im not very close to him but i know him well enough to know that he is not a bad guy. I know once the word "drug" is mentioned, it conjures up this image of seriously screwed up individuals. but this guy is not like that. he is a nice guy, who doesnt have a f*cked up attitude nor is he a 'act-cool' poseur. he comes from a good family. he just made a mistake. his 'crime' does not hurt anyone but himself. all he did was try to feel 'shiok' while dancing at a club. it wasnt even a hard drug (it was class c)...
on the other hand, i think that theft of handphones is one of the most vile crimes anybody can commit. i respect shit more than these people. and the worse thing was this guys attitude: not a single bit of remorse, but still had that 'ya-ya' attitude.
i can understand why the punishment for drug consumption is so harsh. on the surface level, drugies dont cause harm to anybody but themselves, but when u look a bit deeper, ultimately drugs do pose a risk to society itself. thus the punishments need to act as a deterrant.
i went to my friends court hearing on friday, he got the full eighteen months. when i thought of the thief getting only 40 days i just couldnt help feeling that it was all a bit fucked up...

My new hobby
after a long and tiring day at the office, i think nothing beats having a slow and relaxing crap to express yourself (both physically and musically). it sort of has a theraputic meditative effect hahahaha. good for de-stressing. the acoustics of the toilet really enhance the sound of the guitar, a nice echoey sound with a little more weight.
im the kind of person who takes his time to do his business, i cant really understand those people who finish the job in a minute, i mean where the fun in that? So during my long sessions, it is always natural to do something to keep yourself occupied, such as reading a magazine or the newspaper. But this usually has the undesirable effect of extending your crap even longer, coz you would inclined to want to finish the whole paper first. i think this is because while doing your business, your are in the right mood and 'zone' for reading the paper, i mean nobody likes to read the newspaper in drips and draps right? and at the end of it you get terrible pins and needles and realise that you have spent 45minutes sitting on the toilet bowl. so thats another reason why the guitar is better, coz your less likely to go on and on.
so what songs sound good in the loo? well amongst my library of 'can-play' songs i think Celine Dion's "My Love will go on" has the dubious award of sounding the best in the toilet hahaha. Maybe i should do a recording later hmm (tag me if you want to hear it, coz i dont think anybody reads this blog anyway)...
im sorry for this crappy post, thats why in my intro above it says that my blog is "full of crap". hahaha. (If you like lamness than you should find this sentence extremely funny. i do, but i dunno i might just be weird, ok shall stop talking now bye!)
