Hadley is a BIG GIRL!

Our big girl is growing so much (especially since the last post).  She is talking a ton now which has made her so fun, she says the funniest things!  Her favorite things are riding dimey with Grampapa Russell at the farm, reading books, being outside and of course anything PINK.  She loves shoes and having her nails painted.  She is a little ball of fire but can also be the sweetest cutest thing.  She has started potty training and is doing great with that.  She has her mommy and daddy wrapped around her finger.  We sure do love this little girl!

As of Recent

Hadely Rae:

Hadley girl is now 10 months old and she has gotten HUGE! She crawls everywhere and gets into everything. She is also starting to get very independent and likes to try new things all by herself. She pulls herself up to things now and walks along the furniture. She is started to say a few words like hi, mamma, and dadda. She is our whole world and she has the cutest personality!

Greg:

Greg has been working so hard around the house. We had some flooding happen in our basement and discovered that we had ground water coming in through the foundation. Greg spent many hours doing manual labor to dig a 8 ft deep X 20 ft long X 3 ft wide trench on the side of our house. He then put in a sump pump and... alas the problem is fixed.

Gregs busisness is also doing well, he works a ton and never complains he is a very good example to me of how to just deal with it everybody has to work.

Kylee:

Me... my life is Hadley I love watching her grow and learn new things each day. I also have been working a ton in the past few weeks because my good friend from work had her baby and I've been covering for her. I do it with lots of complaining and a bad attitude though... sorry everyone i work with but my time could be so much better spent snuggling my baby and playing at the park. I'm doing a bunch of gardening and my plants are growing great, we were even able to eat a few fresh peas and some raspberries already, more plants are coming soon and I can't wait to see what we get. I am also working on a little project for my pregnant sister in law. I got this dresser at the DI and I am refinishing it for her.

Greg and I had our 5 year anniversary on June 22! We had so much fun. Greg took me down to the salt lake temple and we did a session there because I had never been to the SLC temple before, then we went to dinner at Bucca Di Beppo in Salt Lake and had our favorite foods. We decided on a whim to catch a late movie because Hadley was having her first sleep over at grandmas so we went to see super 8... it was alright, mostly it was nice just to get out on a real date.

4 Weeks Old!

I can't believe my tiny baby is already a month old. She has been so much fun and a lot of work, but she is for sure and angel baby. She is starting to sleep between 4 and six hours at night and she is holding her head up very well. She loves "talking" to us and she has even recently started smiling! She is such a good eater and now weighs about 10 pounds. We call her cheeks because of her cute chubby face.

HADLEY RAE SECRIST

After 24 hours of labor Hadley Rae was born! It was so fun to watch Greg fall in love with her. I think that he was wrapped around her little finger within moments. He loves her so much and it's so fun to watch him play with her. I can't get enough of her and I love to spend my days starring at her and fattening her up.

We had such a wonderful experience at Ogden Regional Hospital, the nurses were amazing and of course so was my wonderful doctor...we'll miss you Dr. Lochner.

I had some amazing help from family and was able to deliver without and epidural....not that I think I'm more of a woman for it but it was an amazing experience and the hardest thing I think I will ever do.

31 down 9 to go!

We are getting so close to our delivery day! Everything with the pregnancy has gone really well so far, our baby is healthy and very VERY active, I feel like I'm getting beat up all day long. My favorite is when she gets her little foot up on my ribs and drags it all the way across one side to the other, I can't breathe when she does it, it's SO exciting. We are starting to have our OB visits every 2 weeks now which means we are getting close. I'm starting to have a few braxton hicks contractions which are pretty weird, my whole belly gets really hard but it doesn't really hurt.

This weekend we are going up to Bear Lake to just hang out and have fun, I'm really excited because I know the lake is still going to be FREEZING and it's going to feel SO good, I'm even willing to go to the beach in my bathing suit in front of everyone just to get a little relief from being so HOT!

4 Years Ago Today...

Today is our 4 year anniversary! Time really has flown by but we have done so many fun things together. Greg is the best husband I couldn't wish for anything more. He is the hardest worker and the sweetest man! We've been through some trials but have come out on top and most of all we STILL really love each other. Happy anniversary Greg the Great I adore you!

2o weeks

Baby Secrist is a GIRL!!! I am still in total shock, I was fully expecting our little bundle to be a boy but I am so excited for this new addition I just can't wait to see her little face! I'm getting even bigger of course but trying my best to keep my weight gain within reason which is harder than I could have ever imagined because I feel like I am always starving to death.

I also to just to comment on how grateful I am that our little girl is perfectly healthy and well... perfect. We had some concerns as every expectant parent does but we prayed so much that our baby girl would be okay and sure enough she is! Heavenly Father truly does hear and answer our prayers.
