a start of something new....

i can't believe i didn't update anything last year. i thought blogs are dead then. but when i was blogwalking my friends' blogs, they are still updated.

so, i decided to blog all over again. perhaps this time round different. something that i wish i could say straight to the face. but i just don't have the time...

upclose and personal

each time i'm there, the three towers seem so far away. now its right in front of me face. the marina bay sands or MBS they call in short is now my playground. i've yet tto explore the whole area but i've seen the 3 mighty towers standing tall. its impressive! with the number of people working for the project.

after one month on a new job (yes, i do job hop alot), i'm stationed at marina bay to assist the IR project. people, you should be proud of me. i am doing the sg vegas. for the next 3 months i will be scratching my head in doing the electrical drawings.

i was super nervous on my first day at the IR because im the only one deployed there and attached to the contractor in charge of the project. the construction site with lots of them is something new to me, for i've been doing drawings in the office not the site. i work in a container (just like wani).

the engineers and the planners were at each other's throat because of the drawings. i was struggling here and there with the drawings because of the software interface and the diagrams that i've never seen before in my whole life. and i have a stern manager and makes me shiver whenever questions asked.

i hope i don't get lost tomorrow in finding my office because of the walkway. all the doors are identical just like the buildings you see on your way to coronation plaza. i hope my stern boss would be at the HQ at least he won't beside me because i will feel this extra pressure on me (we always perform better without our superiors around).

MBS is to be ready by the end of the year and i foresee that we will all be under extreme pressure.

cad-mania

here i am on a sunday staring at the crosshair and getting the vertex right for my drawings.
at times, i just want to stop and watch tv, however due date is tomorrow and i forgot to bring the gigantic hardcopy home. shucks!

but i still love autoCAD =)

bff asked me several questions. and some are still lingering in my mind asking me over and over again. i hope to be a better one too. help me Allah.

half of me feels like joining bff. but the half - i know i won't be allowed to go even if i want to. sad isn't it?

im off to do some soul searching and hope to get an answer. Insya Allah.

over due


both of us had planned to watch a chick flick movie and then to the esplanade. but when we started seeing peculiar characters walking along ngee ann, we decided to take a look to check out whatever was happening. and guess what - it was a cosplay.

when we saw batman and joker making their apperances, we were pretty much excited. we managed to take pictures with them and batman was being his usual self - macho, tall and sexy. there were other characters that we like but decided to give it a miss. who would want to take pictures with a skinny and scrawny hulk when he is should be all muscular and fierce.

strolling to the esplanade is something i would do again - fid, next time is with ice cream. we were two fickled minded woman couldn't decide where to settle down that the security guard showed us where to sit. corn in the cup accompanied us while we went gaga over the ndp rehearsal and the fireworks although it tricked us at times. fid and me planned to go there every week but we've already missed last week's and will miss another this saturday.

kite flying with family is full of fun and laughter. each weekend, we see different people doing different antics. we are going to WCP again coming sunday. such a bliss =)

p/s: bffs applied the same thing that i'm applying. looks like we are Best Friends Forever. HAH!
