Blog take over by Ashlee

So we moved into a townhouse and it has a huge swimming pool that is super fun. This is our awesome new house.
We got season passes to Lagoon we go like twice a week and it is super fun.  We went twice with my cousins.  The first time we went was last year on stake Lagoon day.  Now we live like twenty minutes away.  This a picture we took up on the very top of the Ferris wheel.
Sixth grade is just around the corner and I'm nervous and excited at same time.  Here's a picture of me and my teacher on the first day of fifth grade.
On Saturday we went to go help lay down Moloch by the Ogden temple it was such a great experience. On our way down there we went though downtown.  There's a lot of horses we took a lot of pictures here they are.

     Goodbye. See you next week.

Hmmm....what has been going on in the Poulson home?

SO MUCH!
I may miss quite a bit, but I will do my best.

First I have to mention Spencer's new car. We got it in April, but it is his baby and he loves it so I thought I better post about it since it is part of the family.
Ashlee had her dance concert in May and did a great job. She is getting very good and we are very proud. Thanks Grandad and Grammy and Grandpapa and Grandmama for coming out to see her dance.

Ashlee got to be in the Pony Express days Parade again for Dance and got to dance in the showcase as well.

We had a great time at the carnival, even though Spencer got very sick on one of the not so mellow rides.
We were lucky enough to have my second family, Hannah and Lia come stay with us for a week. We love these girls so much and were grateful to be able to adopt them for a week.

Our Ward finally split. With that came a lot of heart ache but a lot of exciting new opportunities to serve and new friendships to form. Part of our Ward and another Ward combined to make the 12th Ward. We are much smaller then what we are used to and it is quite nice. This is our 5th Ward in 4 years, same house and we love it. I was released as RS Pres and Spencer was released as Membership clerk/building scheduler/Ward Website administrator as we are now in the new Ward. Spencer was called as 1st Councilor in the Bishopric and is loving serving the Ward and trying to unite all the great members. I was called as 1st councilor in the YW's. After the initial shock I am very excited and have a great group of girls to work with.
Ashlee got another haircut that is super cute. Laurie Ercanbrack is a haircut queen and we love her!

Mostly, through all this business and trials of life we have learned to really rely on Friends and each other. The last picture is of Spencer showing up at Ashlee's showcase and surprising us both. Spencer works so hard and it is moments like this that we are so grateful that we are together and doing so well. We want to express our love to all of our friends and family. We have been so blessed these last few months and hope and pray that you all can feel our Savior's hand in your own lives.

Update

So I guess the title is misleading. I want everyone, well maybe the two people that actually read our blog to know that we are alive. I hope to post sometime next week, but we will see. Anyway, we are doing well and are busier then ever, thus the no time for blogging. Look forward to my update you two! =)

DISNEYWORLD!

So one of the hardest things about coming home from Disneyworld is trying to figure out what pics to post out of the 500 you took. So sit and watch the slide show or don't, whatever. We had a great time and are already planning and saving for the next trip. This time we plan to go to Disneyland and we may even drive. We always fly and thought it might be fun to do the driving experience, who knows we could change our minds. Anyway, DW as we fondly call it was awesome. The cold and rain didn't stop us and made for even shorter lines then it has been in the past this time of year. We walked right onto most of the rides on most days. We loved being together 24/7. I don't think we had any fights! Ashlee tried Expedition Everest for the first time. She liked it, but was a bit nervous. Tower of Terror isn't her favorite, but she did it last time and did it again for Spencer and I. Her favorite is Thunder Mountain and her least favorite is Space Mountain. I can't say I blame her. It was scary to put her on it. In DW you ride in your own seat and not side by side. Putting your little 44 pound shrimpie in a seat by herself on a ride where you can't see more then 2 feet in front of you is a bit scary. She made no noise on the whole ride and unless I reached around the seat and touched her shoulder I was petrified that she had fallen out. Our last day we met up with two of my brothers and my parents and had a great day. I love this place and that you go there and forget everything. You can be silly and not care. Thanks Spencer for working so hard to get us there. And a shot out to HIT Web design for paying the bills to make trips like this possible. A special thanks to my big brother Josh.....you know what you did! Last but not least THANK YOU MR. DISNEY for creating a place for my family to go and make wonderful memories!

Spencer is Da' Bomb!

I know the 90's called and they want their phrase back but he is Da Bomb! What can I say. Last week he received another promotion. I am so proud of him. He has only been with the company for 10 months and has been promoted several times. He is now a supervisor over account managers. What does this mean. He used to be on the phone all day selling his guts out, now he makes sure everyone else does that and walks around motivating them. When he was called in to be offered the position they told him that he brings in 71% of the companies sales and they need him to create more Spencers. He has already proven to be a great move and he is loving it. Ashlee jokes around that he goes up to people and says "DO Something!" So bye bye commission, which on some days is sad, but hello steady paycheck and longer hours. Yesterday he left at 7 AM and got home at 9:30 PM. I am not complaining. A year ago I would have said he left Sunday and will be home in 3 weeks, so I am definitely happy. He is also hourly so the overtime is pretty sweet! Spencer we love you so much and are so proud of you! I am so happy that you found something that keeps you home and you love. We have been so blessed this year.

My nephew Christopher

Today Saturday February, 6 2010.... After a good night sleep I woke up and tried to get an eye exam but our eye doctor is not in our net work so I had to pass on that, Emily and Ashlee went to Home depot and did the monthly project ( a wooden calendar ). We went to Salt Lake to do our Taxes saw my mom and dad then came home, had dinner and started watching Jungle Book. I heard my phone ring my Dad said that there is BAD news my oldest nephew Christopher Hales went to live with Jesus. He was 9 years younger than I was we both loved cars and I grew up with him I wish I spent more time with him in his adult life, he was a good Husband to his wife Ellie and a wonderful Dad to his son Colin. I know that he is in a good place right now and can be with Tyler my other nephew who also passed a way right after his mission. I will miss my 2 nephews and know that I will see them again. I want my family to know that I love them. I am so happy to be with them and spend time with them. I hope they know how much I love them and what they do for me. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and for his church and teaching, I am so glad to have Christ in my life to help through times like these.
