Crunch Time

Things have been pretty crazy lately. Cameron's baptism is in less than two weeks!! Last week, I got his invites designed and sent out. That was a huge burden taken off my shoulders. It took me all day to design them but I'm really excited about how well they turned out.

Yesterday, I finally got the baptism program figured out. I now have all the spots in the program filled!! I wound up asking a friend to do one of the talks and he graciously accepted. I am going to be doing a musical number with Sean's mom and Bri (yikes!!). Plus I am giving one of the talks. I still need to ask a couple people to do some things, but I'm sure they will say yes so I'm not too worried.

As if this wasn't enough, we are also having a BBQ that evening to celebrate the baptism and Cameron's birthday. Thankfully, I can make most of the salads a couple days in advance, so that is one less thing I have to worry about. We are also going to be playing baseball at the BBQ, which should be a lot of fun.

Anyway, I am really excited about everything coming up! If the stress doesn't kill me, then it should be a really fun time. Here is a copy of the invite I made.

Learning Something New

So, I have decided I need to learn something new. I was playing around online and found some amazing photos that I loved and wondered how they got such great pictures. The trick is photo editing. I figured, I have the software, so I might as well learn how to use it. Plus, I would love to have amazing photos of my boys!

Well, I took Gabriel outside today and took a picture of him. It is kind of cloudy out, so it's not the best picture to start with, but I decided to give it a shot.

Here is the before picture:

Here is the after picture:

I'm having fun and hopefully with some practice, I'll get a lot better at it!!

Gabriel's Pre-School Graduation

Gabriel graduated from Pre-School yesterday evening and is now moving on to Kindergarten. He has had a wonderful at Learning Adventures Pre-School. His teacher, Miss Amy, was absolutely wonderful and I owe her a huge debt of gratitude. She went above and beyond with her students and she taught them sooo many things. I love her so much and can't wait for Liam to go there in a couple of years!

For graduation, the morning and afternoon classes came together and presented a very fun program that showed off some of the songs they had learned throughout the year. The program began with the students saying The Pledge of Allegiance.

Then they continued by singing some songs. One song was the months of the year, which has little actions that look like you are doing the Macaraina :)

After the songs, each class performed a little skit. Gabriel was in the afternoon class and their skit was The Gingerbread Man. Gabriel was the sneaky fox who ate the gingerbread man.

The program ended with Gabriel getting his diploma. He also received an award for passing off all of his monthly challenges. Some of the challenges included knowing your phone number and all of the colors and shapes. Last month he had to be able to identify all the capital and lowercase letters and this month he had to be able to write his name.

Gabriel has had a great year and has learned so much. I am so extremely proud of him and can't wait to see what other potential we can unlock from him!!

Busy Week!

Our family has had a busy week already and it's only Wednesday!!

Owen has learned how to stand up in the middle of the room. He did it for the first time on Sunday, at our friend DeAnn's house. We were standing there talking and all of a sudden he stood up in the middle of her hallway!! It's amazing how new things like this still amaze me even after 4 kids.Today, Cameron lost another tooth. It has been loose for quite awhile and he has been wiggling it like crazy lately. A lot of kids in his class like to pull their teeth out at school, so Cameron was taking a go at it yesterday but was not successful. I guess that today he got it pulled about halfway out, then had his friend Caden finish the job.

This is the 4th tooth that he has lost. I'm just glad that they are starting to come out. He goes to see the orthodontist next month so hopefully we won't have to start pulling too many teeth since they are finally starting to fall out.

Growing Too Fast!

So Owen has decided that he loves to get around. He is crawling and pulling himself up. The other day, he even decided to let go and stand on his own. The funny thing is, he's only 7 months old! I was hoping that he would be one of my slower babies, but I guess he figured otherwise. None of the boys have been slow, but I was hoping for a little more baby time! It won't be long before he's walking :( He is just growing way too fast. I guess I'll just have to convince Sean that we need another one. Plus, I still want that girl that has been eluding us!

Here are some pictures of Owen helping me unload the dishwasher the other day.

Catch Up!

Okay!! Now that things have settled down a bit, I think I'm going to try blogging again. Summer is coming, so I figure it's a good way to let everyone know what is going on. So, now that I have made the goal to keep this blog updated, let's see if it happens ;)

Baseball Season!!

Baseball season has officially started. This year Cameron is doing the pitching machine and is on team Diamondbacks. On Saturday, they had a clinic with the high school boys in the morning, then had their first game in the afternoon.

I am very happy to say we have a pretty good player on our hands. He was up to bat twice and both times he hit the first pitch that came out. His first hit went past 3rd base and his second hit went past 2nd base.

We all had a really great time and Cameron was especially excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Lavering there to cheer him on!!
