Strawberry Picking and Coast Exploring

One day in June we went with some friends to a strawberry picking field. It was beautiful and delicious. We weren't there nearly as long as I expected - which I don't know why I was thinking we'd be there forever, but ya know. We ate a ton of strawberries, took a million photos, filled up our baskets and went on our way about a half hour later.

After strawberries we drove back up the coast and stopped at this lighthouse to do some exploring.

This great docent was so great with the kids! He talked to them and answered all of their questions. It was a fun adventure.

After the lighthouse my girls and I headed to Pescadero to get some lunch.

And we took one last stop at a random beach to explore and have some fun. Soaking up the summer despite the slightly chilly coastal weather.

We found this big pit that someone else had previously been working on and the girls wanted to build a little fort out of it.

So we dragged all the driftwood and had a grand old time.

Santa Cruz & California Reception June 11

A few short days after we got home from our Texas trek, there was another wedding reception for Maggie and Aaron in California.

Since Aaron's family lives near Santa Cruz, we decided to make a day of it. So on Saturday, June 11, we spent the morning at the boardwalk with Sean's parents:

We rode a few rides and then his parents had to go help with the wedding set up and we partied a little more. We stopped for lunch at a great burrito place we've been at a number of times and watched the surfers do their thing.

We brought our bikes and zoomed around the town. We rode around the coast and it was beautiful. Evette was such a trooper and she did such a good job keeping with us and following directions and being brave.

And a stop for ice cream, acourse.

Later in the day we headed over to Aaron's parents' beautiful home for the reception.

It was such a beautiful evening full of good food and good company. So fun it was hard to say good bye!

Texas Trek 6 - Wedding Day! - June 3

On June 3, 2016, these two love birds got hitched. They had a whirlwind dating and engagement time period and then they sealed the deal.

The day started with a luncheon. I got the girls' hair all done and then left them with to play with Uncle Dan and Auntie Kim.

The food was delicious, the company was great.

 Here's to chillin'.

Then we headed over to the Houston temple for the wedding. The weather was crazy. It had been raining and flooding all over the area over the last week so we were anxious about how the weather was going to hold up. At one point we weren't even sure if we were going to be able to get to the temple. But, it all worked out!!

Dan, Kim, Scott, and Cami met us at the temple to bring the girls and for Cami to photograph all this beautifulness.  She got some sweet pics of my sweet babies when they weren't running around like crazies.

I want to drink in all of her goodness.

With the awesome Auntie Kim!

Her beautiful spirit.....

These two have the sweetest bond.

Silly heads.

The Joyce Girls

Inside the temple right after the ceremony we heard a huge thunder boom. Huge. After the ceremony we went outside to wait for the happy couple but that didn't last too long. The clouds literally ripped apart and dumped all of their contents. It was crazy! It was so much rain and windy. All of us wedding guests crammed ourselves into the vestibule to avoid the rain. After about 5-10 minutes, the rain stopped and we were able to go back outside and take some pictures.

The happy couple!

Then it was reception time! They had their reception at the same place we did, so that was kind of fun! Plus this time I didn't have to stand around and talk to millions of people and could eat instead. :)

First Dance

The father-daughter dance was awesome!

And this mother-son dance was also awesome!

And then a massive dance party :)

Welcome to the family, Aaron! Happy days to y'all :)
