A New Day; A New Year

1.  How long will it take for me to get comfortable writing/typing 2015 rather than 2014?

2.  I had planned to sew starting early this morning.  However (at 10:14 a.m.), I'm still on the couch with the lap top and one of the dogs sleeping beside me on the couch and the other sleeping on the floor nearby.

3.  I didn't intend to see in the new year awake, but I think I was due to the neighbors' fireworks fun.  (I'm hating fireworks more and more every year as the sounds upset my animals.)

4.  It's rainy and cloudy here which makes a good day to stay on the couch with a warm dog snuggled up beside me and either read a book or cruise the internet.  However, I must do something constructive.

5.  Sewing wise, I just want to "keep on keeping on" and track (see the side bar) what I accomplish this year (same as last year).

6.  It's so good to have the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs after so many bad years.  I'll just take it game by game and hope for the best from them.  I love football!

7.  I do better if I get to spend a little time in the sewing room every day, but it doesn't always happen.

8.  Even if I'm out of real sewing mojo, if I just sew up a simple polar fleece chemo cap (I generally have several cut out at any one time), I feel as if I've accomplished something worthwhile.  Chemo caps are one of my charity sewing projects each year.

9.  Probably won't get out of my sweats today.  That's OK.

10.  Think I'll cook smothered steak for dinner tonight, but don't have to start that until 3 p.m. or so.  Now it's time to get off the couch and do something.
