Swing

Coolest swing ever!
Went to a park for a birthday party the weekend of June 9th...
Found a swing the kids absolutely love!

A Rose...

A 'Simple' rose is planted
So delicate of hue.
No duplicate to master
Just touched by morning's dew.

God kissed it's bud to open
And with beauty it was spread.
Each petal there is so unique,
Created in God's hand.

Each blessed with joys of greatness
So many we don't know,
But with this Rose, we planted
our 'Simple' love we show.

Weekends...

The first weekend in June is "Sand in the City,"
here is a "Tangled" sculpture...

Another sculpture...all proceeds benefit Children in Omaha...

An original sculptor...

Serious business...

The cat preparation at Mom's picnic for work after visiting the sand...

Rounding out the day at the concert in the park...
Ending earlier than planned after a pull-up
malfunction where drips landed on unintended folks...oh dear...

Day at the zoo with Dad

Riding the carosel at the Henry Doorly Zoo with Dad.  Can't tell we're related can ya?

Eli and Daddy on same carosel.

The zoo redid the aquarium where the wonder is for both adults and kids!
This was a day the kids' school had a teacher development day in May...
Mommy is kinda jealous she didn't get to see the new updates
AND hang out with the fam.
Daddy is so good to take the day to hang with the kids.

The reef on the floor - soo cool!

A couple of kids loving it!

Hannah and her giraffes...

A couple of monkeys hangin' int he gorilla complex!

Face Paint Summer

In the past month since Mother's Day, we have seemed to find every face painter possible.
The kids love it.  Eli switches between Tigers and Spiderman.
Hannah loves butterflies and cats.
Here are a sweet couple of kids in disguise...

Butterfly...

ROAARR! and Sweet baby girl!

This is the most still we see this kid.  He loves the paint and becomes a statue.

Thought he was going to fall asleep this day as he was sooo relaxed!

And concentrating as well...the zoo face paint was awesome.

The day before Mother's day, we went to a carnival for Grandma Kathy's
friends and kids at one of her schools.  Of course, the face paint was a MUST.

Again, a statue for Spidy!

At Mommy's annual OneWorld picnic on June 1st,
they had some AMAZING face painters...
Exhibit A - our kitten!

Meow!

And our shark!

Eli loved the bounce house.  He was pretending to be a shark
and beckon his sister to please come jump with him.

And the Summer Arts Festival yesterday - our pink kitty.

And our super tough Spider Man!
