Watercolor Cards

Hello and a HAPPY weekend to you!

I really was inspired by some watercolor cards I saw recently and wanted to try it out myself.

I started out with adding water to my watercolor paper. Then I added some Distress Inks to the paper letting them soak in and then I splatter water all over to add texture. Splatter is my most favorite thing ever I think when it comes to watercoloring.

So for the first card I wanted to play with some cooler colors. Then I went ahead and added Black Embossing Powder to the stars from Heidi's Star Shape Set. I also used white embossing powder to add the sentiment to my card front.

For my second card, I used a feather from the Feather Shape Set. I gave it two sets of gesso to make it very white. I went with bright warm colors for the second card. I love them both so much it is hard to pick a favorite.

For my creation I wanted to share a candy box I made!

So first off I grabbed my supplies. I cut out this cute box from my cut machine.

I cut some acetate paper out and adhered it with some glossy accents.

Then I added the sentiment with some watermark ink and white embossing powder.

I finished my candy box off with some twine and more stamps from the stamp set.

The teeth got glitter.

Foxy New SugarSketch

Hello everyone. Welcome to a new Monday and new week.

Today I have a new card for you that I created for the new SugarPea sketch challenge.
So head over to the SugarPea Designs blog to play in the sketch.

For my card I used the newest stamp set called Foxy Friend. I colored the fox up with copics and paired him with a matching sentiment.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to play with this image, something of the holiday or something of more earthy tones. I stuck with earthy! I haven't used these papers in a while and I love how it turned out!

Snowy Tags

I have a new set of tags to share today with you but first I just want to say a big thanks to all my followers who still enjoy looking and reading my blog.

I had some fun just adding gessoed snow flakes to these tags. My daughter really loved the snowman.

I cut the words off of the Robin's Nest papers to add to the tags as well.

Hello everyone. I am up for an inspirational post today at Loves Rubberstamps.

I decided to share some fun cards I made using the newest release from SugarPea Designs.

For my first card I used a couple different stamps. I did fussy cut the shovel out and paired it with the sentiment "I dig you" along with the heart stamp that looks like washi tape.

For my second card I kept it single layered as well.

The Letter B

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new challenge post for Loves Rubberstamps.

The challenge this week is  THE LETTER B.

I know you can add butterflies, blue, babies, black, etc...  The list can go on and on.

I didn't quite follow it to be exact. I am out of butterflies at the moment. I am out of blue papers too that aren't being used for something else.

I did have a couple blue flowers though I added to this!

Of course I used a Magnolia and colored the image with my copics using the brush tip end. I wanted to keep my card in a vintage style and I love this card.

I hope you stop by the challenge blog and see what the rest of the team created!
