Lace It Up

There is a new challenge over at

The theme this week is

Use Lace

Hope you are excited for a new week to begin. I know I am. It has been one week since my dog got her foot broken so we are finally getting a little use to how things have to operate around here for a while. She is still having some problems with the cone when she goes sniffing and gets it stuck on the ground outside trying to find that special spot. But she has finally got the drinking water down and I just put her food on the floor since she spills it anyway!

But enough about me let me share my card for this challenge!

There is a new challenge over at

I love this card and I am trying to balance out between intricate and easy. I feel like I have been going more easy than I have been with intricate. But I still love how each card is turning out.

I was excited about this challenge because I got to pull out my metal embellishments. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you run there. Spare Parts normally is 50% off or Tim Holtz is 30% off. So go grab some goodies and play in this special challenge.

Deep Sea Sirene

Hey everyone. How was your week? Hope you are ready for the weekend. I know I am. I am planning on getting my crafty butt in gear and make some videos of some amazing projects I have coming up this month.

I was really excited today to share this card. As some of my real true followers know I love to color, but purple seems to be my downfall sometimes. I loved how this wonderful Sweet Pea Stamps image turned out. She was created by Ching Chou Kuik and her name is Deep Sea Sirene. Now she comes in digi and rubber so whatever your preference get her because she is so fun and perfect for any occasion.

I colored her up with my copics of course and I paired her with some Basic Grey papers and some purple Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers in my stash.

Gina's Designs Wall Art Kit

Good morning again. This is my second post for the day.

Hey everyone. Shanna here and I am beyond excited to share with you a project I created for Gina's Designs today with a cross promotion for Robin's Nest.

In fact I am even more excited that my teammate Marfa shared a similar project this morning using some os the same products!

But first did you know Gina's Designs is now having a sketch challenge??? Check it out here!

So this month you will get to see the team create with some awesome products from The Robin's Nest. We got these awesome amazing papers and stickers to work with which you got to see on Nancy's post here. So much love all the way around.

For the letters I painted them with some Sugar Cane Glimmer Glam and gave them a coat of Distress Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

I used a bit of gesso on everything too.

For the O I decided to use a jump ring and connect a key that got some gold detail embossing powder layered on and then covered with black paint and rubbed off.

I originally wanted the key red but my plans changed a little and I really wanted to make it look old with some gold embossing powder.

For the hearts on this these were also painted red but I dabbed black over so there was some contrast.

Here you can see the crackle really good.
