Anything Goes

Good Morning everyone. Sorry I do not have a card for you today. Life gave me a very unexpected weekend. I am getting things back under control...... SUPER MOM and SUPER WOMAN. I just keep telling myself I am strong, I am smart, and I can do anything I put my mind too no matter what may be in my way. My week was starting to normal back out. I am truly thankful my mom is coming out to give me a break next week. THANKFUL... I will have another adult around on the same level as me. I will sure have tons of crafty fun while she is here showing her new things and playing with everything we can get our hands on. I am still hoping to figure out what to do with our downstairs formal dining room. I already sold the table YAY for me. It is definitely time to get our floors done and a new dining room table to go in our suppose to be kitchenette area. I want to move my craft stuff into what once was the formal dining room. I found some cheap bookshelves online but does anyone have any ideas for storage to put on bookshelves... and I mean cheap storage. In fact I may have a candy starting March 1 and make a post that will last a month for those who can give me some links on cheap storage ideas.

Anyway today is a new challenge over at

You can play the theme which is Anything Goes, you can play the sketch, or you can play both!

A sad goodbye

I just wanted to make a quick post about my goodbye.

Creative Card Crew is having a new challenge. The new challenge is a theme of Humor and the sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.

No this is my sad goodbye. Creative Card Crew was the first challenge I was ever on. Mari was kind and gave me my first shot at showing off what I could do. She was so amazing and has been such a great friend and inspiration. She had just taken over the blog and it was such a learning process for me and I enjoyed every last minute. Some of you know I have had some health problems and well now to add to my mix some want to be family issues. I really love what I do and that causes problems in my home.

I really appreciate all my followers and my teammates more than anything! Everyone has been so awesome and amazing. The comments I get on my cards just make me feel that much better about what I do and the support I get from my crafty family is the best feeling ever.

Thanks again Mari and the Creative Card Crew Team!

Ducks

QUACKY MONDAY!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I am pre-writing this post as my fiance will be getting in sometime early Saturday morning. I have no clue what I will be doing this weekend.

So I thought this card would be perfect to start the week off on a good note.

I used 3 Ducks in a Row paired with Quack Me Up

Of course the image was colored with copics and the sentiment was punched out with a Stampin' Up punch. I cannot remember it for the life of me. I used some silver ribbon from a ribbon assortment I got a while ago. The paper pad is an older one from My Mind's Eye.

I know this is a quick card to make. I made it knowing my fiance was coming home and thought this would be a good make someone laugh or smile card!

Have a great Monday and check back tomorrow to see what Jenny has for you.

DON'T FORGET

Our monthly challenge starts

MARCH 1

Now go out and make a Great Impression!

Hey everyone. I hope everyone is having a good night. I used the new MME pad, colored this Tilda and popcorn accessory stamp with copics (I love these colors), and used white puffy paint. After heating the puffy paint though I colored it with a copic marker to give it the butter effect.

Here is a little close up.

Here is a side view.

If you get a chance see what other yummy things the team has cooked up.

Dutch Sketch Time

Good Morning and happy Thursday. Well I must say I am bummed to not be at the gym working out. That means next week I will be in the gym every day trying to catch up! My daughter has no more green monsters in her nose. But she is still have to blow her nose constantly and coughing. If only I could hurry up and feel better and get back to normal.

has a new challenge today and a good one.

I am super sorry I did not use one of their cute images but I am waiting to get some copic paper in. I happen to be one of those people that likes to stamp or print off a few images and get started on coloring. I color skin and hair. I try hair combos mostly to see which I like better and try different hair stokes. I must say I bought all of Krista's newest images and went crazy with my last paper. Only to find out I hated the way I colored all their hair except one :(. I have some Neenah Paper which bleeds a lot (I am not an experienced colorer... I know I color good but it normally take one or two tries before I get a finished image). I love X-Press It paper. I need to try some Make It Crafty paper but that is an even longer wait!

So this doll was colored for an upcoming challenge and I said you know what let's put her in for this challenge and I am glad I did. I love how this card turned out!

I used
Wild Orchid Flowers
Really Reasonable Ribbon
MS border punch

Hope you get a chance to play with us this week.

Buttons and Bows

Happy Hump Day. I am so glad this week is halfway over. I am hoping my daughter starts to feel a little better so that we can make up her two missed gymnastics classes. Lord knows she will love that. Of course I will be missing my gym class this week again as I missed it last week unless I can pull through and do spin while I am sick (no sprints for me). I really need to go since I did not make it last week thanks to my little sicko. I am hanging in there two tissue boxes later and no more Benadryl.

First off I want to spread the word of a new group....

Color Me Creative Mixed Media
Other than all that mambo jambo we have a new challenge at

Here is your sketch you can play with and our theme this week is...

Buttons and Bows
Remember you can play the theme, the sketch, or play both. You can also use any stamp but we would love to see your Pixie Cottage Stamps.

So for my card I used the new Girly Girl Buffy. I just love little tutu's and girly stuff. To think I wanted a boy. I think I would be somewhat disappointed as girly girl stuff is so much fun!

I really love buttons but I can never think of where to put them. So I thought why not do some twine through them. This made it a little more girly.

I used a new My Mind's Eye paper pad you can buy HERE.

I did use the last of this pretty satin ribbon I got in an assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I think I need to do a ribbon clean out.... I sense some Spring Candy soon!

For products used on my cards

They have tons of new products in the store from new copic colors, paper pads, Tim Holtz new Distress Markers go jump in and shop!

I really hope you have a chance to play with us this week!

Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

Hey everyone. It is a new year and I am heading for new adventures. I have started tons mini albums and altered items but I have yet to really make a post about them as I am a card lady. I love making cards and I have tried to make CAS cards but I love intricate and detailed cards. I do love CAS I just find them harder to do. I love a good sketch and I am one for Magnolia images and Krista Smith's saturated Canaries.
Coloring has become a passion and I can remember when I was little and I use to get so frustrated because I could not color like my mom. Well it's been about a year and I color better than my mother. She still has me beat as she can sew, make journals, ribbon roses, and create databases for Verizon lol.
So I thought why not audition for Graphic 45. I love their papers but have not had a chance to implement them into my other projects. So here are some items I have been making since Christmas kind of. My inspiration comes from all over as I saw so many new things and sneak peeks for items to come out this year. I must say CHA was my biggest inspiration as I had never heard of it and to think I lived less than 45 minutes outside of Anaheim for that 7 years of my life minus the one year here in South Carolina.

So let's get started.

I must say I draw inspiration from this card as it was really my real first card ever. My coloring capabilities have since this got a lot better!

This was my try at coloring with distress inks for the red and green parts. It was my first card that I was picked for as a spotlight card by a whole design team by vote! Thanks Sweet Stampin'.

This was my first try at coloring shadows with the t's. I also love the tones of the papers.

It was my first try at cracked ice technique, first at a center side step, and my first time at a curved frame. I love the papers. This card was already shown so I made a second card similar to this one that ended up being my first published piece.

This is a more recent card I made. I love the overall look even though it is simple. Once again some of my favorite colors the rich tones are just so nice. I love my crinkle seam binding ribbon. I am trying hard to not hoard it but .... well I am trying honest lol.

Some cards I made out of just paper and ribbon. I used only one 6 x 6 pad  and coordinating plain cardstock. I really loved this paper pad. I think I will use the rest to make another mini envelope album.

I gave myself a go at altering a picture frame I had my in things to alter drawn. I drew inspiration from
Scrapgirl Angie (again Happy Birthday!!!!). I still have a jewelry box or two to finish and a photo cube! I have several things to alter!

This was my first mini album. I love making these. Once I figured out how to make one it goes by so quick. I see tons of albums coming up this year!

This was one of my to alter items so I threw this together after I made my mini envelope album.

This is my post in hope to make it as a final for Graphic 45. I love vintage styles and finally decided this would be a chance to try out for a company that creates vintage looks. I just recently found their papers with the travelogue collection. I cannot wait to get more stuff just waiting for things to get in the store so I can go shopping. I might need a shopper's anonymous after this year. :)

I am thinking of taking over our not used formal dining room. It collects more dust than it sees people. I think in the three years we have owned the table we have sat down at it or used it 3 times.... My baby shower... one big family dinner, and my daughters 2nd birthday last year.

So a couple books selves and some extra desk space :) I think a nice big room will do me justice. It definitely has more real lighting during the day.

Anyways wish me luck I really want to be part of this awesome crew!

Take It Easy

Welcome to the beginning of a new week. I hope everyone had a fun and loving Valentine's day. I was all by myself with my little sicko. But let's not talk about that.

Have you been by to check out the store and do some fun shopping?
It's open now so hurry and go see!

I hope your getting ready for March's Stamp of the Month. Some fun images are about to come out. For now I have a cute and simple card for you.

I used plaid ribbon, spellbinder scalloped squarered apple embossing powder, and Lily Bee papers.

I used stamp E671 - Take It Easy

Come by and see us tomorrow.

Don't forget to make a Great Impression.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am trying to feel better as my daughter was sick all week and my fiance jinxed me. :( I don't get a sick often but since moving to South Carolina I am sick all the time and so is Adyson. Poor thing is a snot factory and can't stop coughing either.

Here is a closer look at this little cutie and her balloons. I thought this the perfect image for a birthday since I do not have a ton of LOTV images.

I used a Tim Holtz die to make the tag and stamped the sentiment from a $1 stamp from Michaels.

Hope you have you have time to play with us.

Lace

Good evening everyone. Are you ready for the weekend? It is Friday night/ Saturday morning. I have had a little miss sicko all week. I am hoping for some improvement soon. Her fever has been coming and going but nothing seems to be slowing her down.

Well the new challenge is over at and our theme this week is

Heathers Hobbie Haven

I really love this image as I get to kind of use my imagination and make the balloons kind of show through each other. It was harder than I thought it would be.

The papers are MME, lace from RRR, an oval spellbinder, tons of distressing, and some pearls.

I colored the magnolia image with copics, added a doily behind the image, and embellished the lace bow with flowers.
