Being that I work with Prisma, Copic, Tombows & Zig markers...
I have recently had the opportunity to work with Spectrum Noir markers...
I challenged my self to only use a
set of three colors which were:
LV1/2/3 with the blender...
The ink supply is very juicy & a light touch
for detail areas with the fine bullet tip was very effective.
Blending was easy and the colors
remained brilliant and full of pop.
The pen barrel is comfortable to hold
and picking the fine tip end fairly easy
with the slim grey band to identify
the fine end at a glance.
The flow of color from the broad end
is true and full and easy to lay down color.
Prisma dual tips, I purchase for $3.79 each and they
are not refillable.
The Spectrum Noir packaged deal of $11.95 for a family of
6 colors (adding shipping) is $3.65 per marker.
The bonus to Spectrum Noir is that they are refillable
like the Copic markers.
Copic Sketch markers (and are refillable) are $7.99 each.
Looking at price, the Spectrum Noir markers are
very attractive.
Spectrum Noir currently has a complete set of 168 colors
plus the blender which gives you a great spectrum
('scuz the play on words!) of colors to
satisfy the marker artist.
I'm excited to add these markers to my collection
alcohol markers and will provide a review the
Ultra Smooth Card Stock for Alcohol Markers.
My Spectrum Noirs are from a Canadian supplier,
Canuck Crafts and have great customer service
and prompt delivery of products.
