Belles and Whistles Day 16 Advent Giveaway

Morning everyone!
Welcome to the 16th Day of the Belles and Whistles advent giveaway! I decided to share my matchbox advent calendar using the Christmas hearth image. This project is actually pretty easy and lots of fun!! I used retired SU wintergreen papers with sage and artichoke cardstock. The drawer pulls are flower spacers I attached with crystal effects. Each little box holds a Hershey's miniature. I used my snowflake die to punch out some snowflakes for the sides. I first embossed them with iridescent ice then added either a pearl or rhinestone to the center.
The card on top is my first attempt at an easel card! Another really fun and easy project! I colored the image with copics and then sprayed with shimmer mist. Then added a bow. The card will hold a gift card as this advent calendar is on its way to my soon to be sister in law as her Christmas gift.
Be sure to check out the Belles and Whistles blog for you chance at a fabulous goodie bag:)

Belles and Whistles Christmas Blog Hop!!!!!!!

Welcome to stop number 10 on the Belles and Whistles blog hop. You should be hopping here from Rosette's Blog. If not pop on over to the beginning at the Belles and Whistle's blog. These are 6 GORGEOUS images that will begin pre-selling today. They will not begin shipping until the first of December.

I am so excited to share the Christmas Door image from Elisabeth Bell with you!!!! We were to showcase the stamps by making Christmas wrapping or gifts. I decided to do my favorite little box, the one sheet wonder(click for tutorial from SCS)!!! No cutting, no gluing, no template, nice and easy!!! This time I decided to emboss the box. I then added a strip of basic grey wassail paper. I colored the image with copics and cut out. I added some chunky glitter to the bottom for little snow banks and dazzling diamonds to the top of the door for icicles. I used two jumbo eyelets with this yummy burgundy ribbon to keep the box together. I think I"ll be filling this one with Hershey kisses and a gift card for my daughter's kindergarten teacher:)

To continue on......head over to the amazingly talented Kathy she's showing the Baking with Nana
image, so adorable!!!!! Make sure you're leaving comments along the way for your chance at the whole release!!!! Which is fabulous since it's too hard to pick a favorite!!

Belles and Whistles Guest DT

Monday, Monday!!! We had a crazy weekend, so I was actually looking forward to today to rest up a bit! Two kids birthday parties and a 3 hour baby shower can really wear ya out!!!!
I just got my batch of Belles and Whistles guest DT images and could not wait to ink them up!! I chose to use kitty love first mainly because I opened it first!!! I colored her with copics and used a feather blending technique on her hat! I found the tutorial at Copic creations and decided to start small!!! I used YR20 and V12. It's a really fun and easy technique and I think I may be ready to try something a little bigger next time! The papers are basic grey and I used the sketch from Roses on paper challenge blog.
I was at the store the other day and decided to get myself a little treat! I chose the branch punch from Martha Stewart! I just love it! I'm sure you'll be seeing it a lot!!! I'm not sure where the lace is from, I got it from a little goodie bag I won at a challenge. The sentiment is Whimsy Stamps.

Belles and Whistles Sunshine

Morning everyone!!! Today I have a sunny card to share with you! It is for the Saturday Spotlight Challenge. The divas would like to see..... you to LET THE SUNSHINE IN!! Since we want to be done with all those wild snowflakes from last week, we thought this week we would ask you to get your bright colors or use mostly "yellow" or monochromatic yellow for your creations this week!
I started with this super cute sisters image from Belles and Whistles. And decided to make it into an easel card!! Such a fun and easy little fancy fold. The papers are from nook and pantry by Basic grey. I also added a cute little bee charm and some flowers.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps...Whimsy is currently offering the most beautiful digi image, named wings of hope, created by Crissy Armstrong. All the proceeds from the sale of this digi go to the Red Cross to assist in their efforts in Haiti. If you're unfamiliar with digis or want to do more, there is a donate button right on the Whimsy site. Here is a LINK to the card I made yesterday using the image. It is times like these that make us stop and think how lucky we really are in life and how amazing it is that as a community we can come together and help others that really need it just by doing what we love. I can't give big enough cyber hugs to Denise and Crissy for organizing this so quickly, I am truly overwhelmed by your big hearts my dears!!! Hugs to you and all of you who help them in their efforts.
Be sure to check out the rest of the divas sunny creations!!!

A belles and whistles Saturday Spotlight!

Good morning and happy weekend!!!! We are planning on a little bit of cleaning, a little bit of relaxing and hopefully a little bit of stamping today! I have my Saturday spotlight card to share with you today. The divas are challenging.... you to GET WILD WITH YOUR SNOWFLAKES!! You may be sick of the snow by now, but I say...If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!! Use LOTS of them on your creation or use them in a unique way like making a wreath or a fun snowflake flower. 'Flurry', there's 'snow' time like being flaky with your Spotlight Diva friends!!

I chose to use the 'twas the night before Christmas image from Belles and whistles. I cut off Santa though, shhhh don't tell my girls!!! Whenever the girls play out in the snow, they always come inside and cuddle up to get warm. That's what this sweet image reminded me of. So for the snowflake challenge I used snowflake DSP from My mind's eye, my snowflake embossing folder, my snowflake punch and felt snowflakes! I think I went pretty snowflake crazy!!! The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
Check out the rest of the snowflakes from the divas!!!

A musical Saturday Spotlight with Belles and Whistles

The weekend is here! I am looking forward to 2 fun Christmas parties tonight and then a day of relaxing tomorrow!! I may start wrapping, who knows! I've never been done Christmas shopping so early so I really don't know what to do! I'll probably do as much stamping as I can so I can take a break with the family for Christmas.
Our challenge at Saturday spotlight is to make a card with your favorite musical style. Well I LOVE Christmas music. I actually make a CD each year to send out with my Christmas cards. I tried to take a year off a few years ago and well after tons of emails wondering where it was, I put one together!
I chose this adorable Belles and whistles image, Belle's Carols, for this one. I added some yummy cranberry ribbon and a shiny burgundy prima. I also spritzed the image with shimmer spray to give it lots of sparkle. The papers are Basic Grey.
Check out the rest of the girls to see what their favorite music is:)

Afternoon everyone! Late post today as I was taking the girls' holiday picture earlier. That is always an adventure in this house! We were going to include the kitty in this year, but I know my limits!!
I snuck in a bit of time to make this card using baking with Nana from Belles and Whistles! The Advent giveaway is in full swing, check out the blog for your chance to win some goody bags! I used some DSP from an old scrappin kit from SU. I colored in the image with copics and added some sponging and doodles to the edge. Finally I added a few different embellies to dress it up!
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. Check out my sidebar of the site for details on how to win free whimsy rubber during their advent event!

Belles and Whistles DT Call

Good morning.  What a chilly day we are having today!  Perfect for cocoa and stamping!!  My daughter wanted me to build a fire and for I while, I thought I might!!  The sun has helped warm things up and it's really just a gorgeous day out there.
I have my entry the Belles n Whistles DT call to share with you today.  When I returned from the weekend I happened across the call and found a bit of time to create something for it!  I was very excited as I love these images and could just spend hours coloring away.  There is so much gorgeous detail in each image too for even more fun!!  It would be soo fabulous to use them each week!!
I chose to use this sisters image as it's one of my favs.  I paired it with some Wisteria papers and neutral colored primas.  I stitched and distressed the edges for a soft vintage feel.  I also added some ultra fine flower soft for the grass for added texture and dimension.  And finally I tied on a little dragonfly as no summer day is complete without one.
All my other BnW creations can be found HERE

Glitz with Belles and Whistles!!!

What a fun word!! And fun stuff too, I just love glitz! That's the challenge of the day at Stamp Something today. I chose to add some glitz to this brand new Belles and Whistles image, Star of Bethlehem. I also used some more of the my mind's eye paper Denise shared with me, every piece is just so sparkly!!! I added a charm that says "believe" to the ribbon, it was an impulse buy while I was at the store yesterday, 40% off!! The girls have been colored with copics and then lightly covered with glitter. The rest of the girls made some glitzy creations, so be sure to check those out; while you're there see how you can join the Stamp Something team!!!

Something cream and green

Good morning!!!  It's rainy here today, but that's OK.  I have daffodils, tulips, and other little flowers starting to pop through and they need some water.  I am so excited for spring and to see what other plants "come back" after this bitter cold winter.  We have a springy theme at Stamp Something today too!!  It can actually work for spring, St. Patrick's Day or many other occasions.  It's greens and creams.  I decided to do an Easter card so I can cross those off my to do list.
I went with this adorable cupcake image from Belles and Whistles.  I stamped her on ivory card stock.  It was a different brand and color CS than I usually use so it took a bit of getting used to with my Copics.  I added a smidge of blue and orange to the image as I didn't think a green cat would work:)
The papers are Basic grey, lilykate I think.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  It's a holiday postmark so you knew I'd love it!!! I added assorted flowers and gems along with a charm to finish it up.  The rest of the DT outdid themselves with gorgeous creations this week, so pop on over to SS and join in the fun!!!! Bunny Zoe is the sponsor this week with a fabulous  prize!

Something with lots o brown

It's Friday!!! It's also the beginning of a 4 day weekend and another Stamp Something challenge! This week we'd like to see you use brown on your projects. I used brown, orange and a hint of green. The image is from Belles and whistles and the fence is from C.C. Designs. On the weekends, I work at a function hall that does mostly weddings. Usually there are little trinkets left behind like matches or chocolates. Well last week they left behind this yummy orange ribbon!!!!
