Paper Pieced Somethings

Good Morning all and a happy Friday to you!! I'm getting an early start to the day as the kiddos have decided to wake up 1 1/2 hours early. So no quiet morning tea for me but early to bed tonight!! We have another fun challenge for you at Stamp Something today and a new member to our team!!! Rowena from Crafty pagan has joined us and we are very excited to have her!! That unfortunately means we had to say goodbye to Marcea. She completed her 6 month term with us, where did that time go!!!! Wishing you the best hun, we'll miss you!!!!! Although now she can play along with our challenges and have a chance to win some goodies!!!
The theme this week is paper piecing, which I love!!!! Our sponsor is whiff of joy. So I used my Willow in the summer breeze image. I gave her some super cute blue pants with hearts and a fun pink shirt and headband both from K& Company. I finished the rest of her with copics. I added some flowers from my stash as well as pomegranate satin ribbon and a charm to finish this one. The sentiment is on my favorite new SU punch and is from fresh cuts. All the edges I distressed with my cutting tool. Here are a couple challenges........

Guest DT Card

Morning everyone!! I have a guest DT card to share with you today! The sketch is for my guest DT spot the Lili of the valley challenge and the image is from Lindsay's Stamp stuff. This is my last guest DT card for Lindsay, I had such a great time designing for her and using her adorable images!! This image is called primitive house. I printed it out twice so I could pop the chimney, heart, awning, sunflower, door handle, fence and bird with dimensionals. The DSP is razzleberry lemonade from SU.

Another Double Post Monday

Wow another double post Monday! I have a playdate with the girls planned for tomorrow so I figured I should pull myself away from the glorious sunshine we had today to finish up this card!! Adding the snow was a great way to feel a little cooler too!!! This super cute image is from Digital Stamp Oasis!! I used retired DSP from SU, ski slope I think along with some felt flurries. Cupcake craft Challenge 50

Monday is here along with a new cupcake craft challenge and summer! We've had a 2 day stretch of hot and humid weather, which is so much better than the rain!!! I'll be setting up the kiddie pool today and I think my plants are enjoying the sunshine too!

Back to the challenge, this week it was Stephanie's turn to design a challenge and she chose.....green, pink and brown AND to use flowers and animals. I was very excited because I had the perfect papers and image to use for this one! The designer paper is from the safari glitter mat stack from DCWV and the alligator is brand new from Whimsy Stamps!!! I also used some grass images from Whimsy's new accessories sets in the background.

New Whimsy Hippo!!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! We made some progress on some outdoor chores so I am very excited!

I wanted to share this card I made using this adorable new hippo from Whimsy stamps. I had intended to use him on another card which I posted earlier, but his fun behind took up too much room!!!! I used papers from basic grey wisteria along with almost amethyst textured CS and celery CS from SU! The ribbon hodgepodge and sentiment are also SU!

Whimsy Whoops!

So the challenge this week at Whimsy Stamps Challenge blog was to make a card with a fun fold. I don't usually do a lot of fun folds, square is pretty crazy for me, so this was definitely a challenge!!! I decided to do a triangle tri-fold card so I could combine it with the Truly scrumptious sketch, which is sponsored by Whimsy!!! I thought I'd use the new hippo image on this one! What I didn't realize until I had finish was that triangle tri-fold cards are quite tiny and the hippo's behind, although adorable, well is not tiny!!! So this is how I fixed it....I added sweet little pajama time Emma instead! I paper pieced on her jammies and colored her with copics. In addition to the 2 whimsy sponsored challenges this whoops also fits in at......

Bugs, butterflies and winged somethings

It's finally Friday!!!! We have a great challenge today over at Stamp Something, we'd like to see something with wings. Tracey from Fred, She said is the sponsor and is giving a 10$ gift certificate to the winner!! That's a lot of Fred!!!

I used Little Miss Bitty from FSS for this one. I just think she's adorable!!! And there are so many bittys to choose from!! I used lemonade designer paper from basic grey along with razzleberry and kiwi from SU! The grass is from the 2 new accessories sets from Whimsy Stamps and I added a flower button to one of them. I also used a tiny scrap of kiwi satin ribbon I had on my desk under the sentiment, no sense in that going to waste!!!

My Sweet Friend....

Morning All!! I hope you're having a great start to the week. I'm looking forward to today as for the first time in a few weeks, we're not going anywhere during the day!!! I had planned to do some gardening but it's raining, so it looks like it will just be a much needed relaxing day of TV and stamping! Then I have a date night with the hubby tonight!
I made this card this am for a few challenges. I haven't used my WOJ images in a bit so I decided to ink this one up! The WOJ challenge this week was to use piercing and a WOJ image. The piercing is on the bashful blue DSP layer and the photo corner. I used the sketch from moving along with the times challenge blog. The colors I chose from Stamp with us challenge's color inspiration photo. I also used some SU cherry DSP and stamped strawberries for the Simon Says challenge of summer fruit.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge #4

Hope you're having a great weekend so far. It's time for another scrap and stamp Saturday challenge. This one is....Today's challenge is called Water Fun - create a layout that has something to do with water such as boating, swimming, fishing, bathtime, etc. Anything you like as long as their is water involved! Elements required are two patterned papers, three embellies, and at least one stamped object in your layout!!! My water theme is the beach! I used 2 papers from polka dots and paisley(I think) and my embellies are buttons, ribbon, and brads. I used images from sparkling summer (retired SU). My second card is for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I am the Guest DT there for the month of July and all month, if you spend 5$ you get a free digi image!! I also used my new SU Manhattan Flower texture plate on the razzleberry layer. The DSP is from the new level 3 hostess set. I printed the image on the olive DSP and paper pieced the tree, then using assorted circle punches added the fruit.

Second Monday Post!!!!!

Back again!! I wanted to knock out a couple challenges today. So I made a card using Princess Emma from Whimsy Stamps. This card will go to someone special since it's using retired red riding hood card stock!!!! I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers for the layout. I used the heart shaped punch outs instead of circles on the sketch so it works for Stamp with fun's punched shapes challenge. I also snuck in to this week's spoonful of sugar challenge with the hearts!!! I used the colors from stamping for the weekend's chocolate covered strawberries inspired challenge. The paper is from candy lane from SU. I paper pieced Emma's dress, so that fits the challenge at Simon Says. I used 3 prima rose embellies which works for cute daisy may's 3 of a kind challenge. I used extra wide chocolate satin ribbon along with red riding hood taffeta ribbon for Creative Card Crew's ribbon Challenge. Finally it's a thank you card that would work for a teacher, so that covers Cute card Thursday! I have a busy day tomorrow that includes a playdate for the kids and dinner at the beach, so I'll see you all on Wednesday!! Just wanted to leave you with what I found in the yard today................ Yep it's a chipmunk in a suspended bird feeder. It was about 80 degrees today so I'm sure the little guy was hot. So I took down the feeder and opened the cover to let him out. And what does he do????? Turns around to the bottom of the feeder to finish the seeds!!!!!

Butterflies and Blossoms

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great weekend! We finally had some nice weather here and it's still nice today!! Woohoo! The theme at Cupcake today is butterflies and blossoms and was set by Liza.
I used the sketch from The sugar bowl along with this super cute fingers crossed sugar nellie. The butterflies have stickles on their wings and are popped up on foam tape. It's Friday, the sun is here and we have a color challenge at Stamp Something!! What a day!! I used her yummy cupcake image for this one!! The frosting and cherry are all popped up on foam tape. The designer paper for the background and cupcake paper is retired SU baja breeze(sniff, sniff). Last Cupcake Challenge

I hope you all had a great weekend! It was beyond gorgeous here!!! Which we kind of deserved since it's rained nearly every day for over a month!!! Today is my daughter's first day of summer camp, thank goodness!! Today is also the last challenge over at cupcake challenge blog ETA it's the last challenge Lauren will be in charge of!!! The fabulous Donna has taken over yippie!!!!! The final challenge is a black and white challenge.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge #3

Happy 4th of July Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend! We actually saw the sun for a bit yesterday, so things are looking up over here!!!!
We're celebrating the 4th over at Scrap and Stamp Saturday. Our challenge this week was a patriotic challenge. We were to create a page that should contain at least one stamped image relative to the theme. We also were given some goodies to play around with including the designer paper, buttons and brads. I used a really cute firework image from an OLD SU set, year round fun.

Guest DT Card

Morning Everyone! Well I'm back from my birthday weekend and all caught up on laundry so it's time for some stampin' and hopefully some blog hopping! Thanks to everyone for the warm birthday wishes and some gorgeous BRAK's! We had a wonderful weekend ( in the sunshine) eating great food, relaxing and watching the Sox!
I can't believe it's July already! WOW!! I think it's more amazing since it rained the entire month of June! For July I am lucky enough to be the guest designer for the lili of the valley challenge blog AND Lindsay's Stamping Stuff! I am so excited to be working with such talented ladies this month and with some super cute digi-images. Right now, Lindsay is offering a free image with every 5$ you spend, so it's a perfect time to stock up on her images and card kits!!!
The challenge at LOTV was this great sketch! The image is called primitive bird with flower from Lindsay. I stamped it 3 times so I could add the bird, butterfly, flower and flower center on foam tape. The CS is the new melon mambo from SU. I paired it with pink pirouette(why is this color retired!!!!!) The DSP is from razzleberry lemonade. I also used my paisley CB folder on the pink layer.
