School Somethings and big stamp sale!!!!

Today over at Stamp Something, we are getting ready for back to school! So the challenge this week is to create something that is school related!! How Fun!!! Pop over to check out the DT samples, WOW WOW WOW.



The lighting in the photo is a little off, but I was having trouble getting the detail to show in brighter light.
Anyway I used baja breeze cardstock as the based and stamped the flannel plaid backgound in baja breeze on it. I used my CB and tiny bubbles on the pacific point layer. To make he jagged edge on the whisper white I used decorative scissors; I wanted to use my scallop edge punch but it seemed a little girly. I then added celery grosgrain and blue square eyelets.
This little guy is colored in with watercolor wonder crayons and my aquapainters.
Finally I used my 2 square punches then the sentiment from AYC 1. I omitted the "new" part of the sentiment and added "school" using rough edges alphabet in celery. It is popped up on a dimensional.

Something for Summer

Today's challenge over at Stamp Something is stamp a piece of summer!! I chose this super snazzy skateboarder from the GinaK set, what ever floats your boat. This set is also the blog candy for the winner of this week's challenge!!

I used SU's new in colors pacific point and kiwi kiss with a little tangerine tango for the wheels. I ran the paper through my cuttlebug for the fun circles. The turtle is all kiwi kiss, I used my aquapainters and a reinker to color him in.

New look:) New candy:)

I decided it was time for a new look. My other layout blurred my pictures quite a bit! I didn't realize how much until I tried this layout! I'm not normally a hot pink person, but I thought it was fun so I went with it!!

I offered some blog candy a few weeks ago in honor of my 10000 hits. The drawing date occured during an "unscheduled blogging break" so I want to do a new drawing for a new prize!! This is a thank you card I made recently.

The saw is embossed with copper EP and the brads are copper as well. The saw is from the retired SU set power up.

I find I use the flannel background in a lot of my masculine cards.

Stamp Something Color Challenge

Well it's Friday so that means a Stamp Something Challenge!! This week the super talented Becky from The Lakeshore Stamper was the DT member in charge of the challenge. Her challenge...pink, blue and green...any shade or multiple shades. I decided to jump into SU's new colors for this one!! The lighter green is Kiwi Kiss. The 2 blues are baja breeze and pacific point. And the light pink is pink pirouette. All of these colors will be available starting Monday. How exciting!

I also used the new and fantastic scallop edge punch along the bottom of the card. What an easy thing to do to give a fun little edge! The DSP is from the new level 3 hostess bundle(which also includes rub-ons!!) I used my cuttlebug for the scribble flowers and for the swiss dot strip. The ribbon is pink taffeta. Finally, the flower centers are dew drops.
