Daddy Daughter Dance

Our girls were so delighted to get to attend the Daddy Daughter Dance this year! Once again they were pretty particular at what their Daddy wore to the dance and were quite appalled with his teasing that he was going to go in shorts and a t-shirt. I am happy to say that the girls have great taste and they all matched quite nicely.

It's fun for me to get to do the girly stuff with them. Hair, nails...hmmm- maybe I missed my calling!

We put Ainsley's hair up in rag rolls the night before to get it nice and curly. It was perfect for a great updo!

Finally I figure out how to get Olivia's bone straight hair to hold curls even if for just a few hours.
They are both such little princesses!

Our school's activities committee does such an excellent job with these dances. This year's theme was "Fairies" and the setting was "Pixie Hollow." The girls each got their confirmations at school complete pixie dust and a reminder that they needed to bring their "Sparrow Man" as their escort for the evening. At the dance the girls each got their Fairy Wings and their date got his Sparrow Hat. I am pretty sure the girls wore their wings more than Jeff wore his hat. They also got adorable little goody bags that had "Pixie Wands" (giant pixie sticks with ribbons on it), lotion, glow sticks and other fun candy.

They were pretty beat by the time the night was over but all had a great time.

A Cricket Player from Barbados

Jackson was a cricket player from Barbados for a 6th grade Wax Museum today. A spray tan and a belt would have been helpful! Ha! He had to do a report on the country and then dress in a way that represents something about the country. Cricket is a big sport in Barbados so he dressed as a cricket player complete with a cricket bat that he and Jeff made last night!

Pride Cards

Olivia and Ainsley got all A's for the 3rd quarter and were recognized in an assembly this week.

This was a pretty big deal for Ainsley because it was her first quarter ever for getting all A's. She worked really hard for this! We are really proud of her!
Jackson got A's & B's. This was the best picture I could get of him! The reality is that he should have had all A's but is not in to turning in all of his work on time! It kind of burned him up a little that Ainsley got all A's! It was good for him! Maybe this quarter he will kick it in to gear a little and get his worked all turned in on time. Though if the first two weeks of the quarter are any indication, it's not going to be an all A quarter this time either. Oh well!

Easter Egg Hunt

We invited a few of our friends over for Easter dinner and then had a Egg Hunt for all the kids and as it turned out the squirrels. We had hidden the eggs a head of time so as not to make the kids wait any longer than they absolutely had to. As we were getting ready to head out to the backyard, Jeff hollers for us to look at the squirrel. I quickly dashed out side to discover a squirrel going up and over our chain link fence with a bright pink egg in his mouth. I hollered hoping to halt him and quickly got a picture. We found at least 4 eggs on the other side of the fence in various locations opened and the candy gone. One of them had the foil from the chocolate egg laying beside the egg. It was hilarious! We had very brave squirrels entering our yard for the rest of the afternoon looking for more chocolate!

Easter Pictures

Here are some pictures from Easter. Amazingly enough we were all coordinated and go figure we didn't even get a family picture.

This picture was taken at church.

Ainsley's hair had lost some of it's oomph by the time we got home...and she lost her barrette so it was just kinda hanging. We were going for a straight sophisticated look.

Olivia's hair actually looks cute here. It was the first time since November (when the bad hair cuts began) that is has actually looked good.

Jackson desperately needed a hair cut. (Can you tell I am on a hair kick right now?) Guess there are bigger things in life to get upset about.

Ainsley was finding it extremely difficult to smile. Something had happened in the car on the way home and she just couldn't find her smile.

I had Ainsley take our picture so I could prove that I was there on Easter. I am in so few pictures that if you were looking through our pictures you would think our kids were without a mom.
