Happy Tuesday!
We have a new challenge starting for you today at Tuesday Throwdown. We want to see your New Home creations!!
Our fabulous sponsor is MyGrafico, and they have provided an adorable set of images for us to use!
I decided to feature a windowsill for my card. I started by using a combination of Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves distress inks to make a dark purple border for my card. Then layered a fun embossed background over the purple to give a nice detailed backdrop for my window. I decided to use some patterned paper behind my window instead of doing some sort of scene so that the focus would remain on the adorable little flowers in the windowsill.
The flowers (from the Kitchen Garden set from MyGrafico) are colored in with my ShinHan markers, and then coated with some glitter brush so they sparkled. Because no card is complete without sparkle :)
The sentiment is computer generated and then cut out with a Spellbinders banner die before being mounted below the window with a couple layers of foam tape.
Overall pretty simple. But I just love the bright purple with the sweet heart paper in the windows.
Be sure to swing by Tuesday Throwdown and check out the rest of the DT's creation!!
Thanks for visiting! <3

Happy Saturday!
I hope the start to your weekend has been fabulous! Right now I am probably in the middle of running my first ever Tough Mudder race!! Eek! So as you can guess, this post has been scheduled :)
I am so excited to be a guest designer over at Send A Smile 4 Kids this week! Thank you so much for having me SAS4K!!
The challenge there this week is to use fall colors and make a creation for kids! The sponsors are Jelly Park (offering 4 images), QKR Stampede (offering 5 images), and Sassy Studio (offering 4 images). Such awesome sponsors and prizes, so be sure to join in!!
For my card, I've used the adorable Jumping in Leaves image from Jelly Park. This was such a fun image to color, with all those sweet leaves. Just made me smile!
I paired the card with some really fun fall papers from my stash, and used a doily in the background. To soften the doily and not have it be so stark white, I used some Antique Linen distress ink around the edges.
When I saw this fun sentiment from Create with TLC, I knew it would fit perfectly with this joyful image!
Be sure to swing by the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge and join in the fun!!
Thanks for visiting today! <3

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! We had some friends over for a fabulous night of Dungeons and Dragons! It was a blast and I can't wait to play again!
This week our challenge at Digi Makeover is a simple one-Anything Goes! Which was great, because I was so busy this week/weekend that I almost completely forgot to make my DT card! Oops!
I figured since we will be moving into a new apartment later this month, that I would make up a card to go along with a new home. In a recent shopping trip to my favorite craft store, I bought these super awesome papers and when they caught my eye again while digging through my stash to find paper to use on my card, I immediately grabbed them! I just love them so much!
Gorgeous right!? I love the bright colors on these papers! They just immediately make me smile! I used an image from the Home Matters set from Paper Makeup. Colored it in with my colored pencils and then added some small white flowers to the base and roof.
The bottom border is punched with my MS Lace Edge punch, and then I wrapped a large blue ribbon and bow around the middle. Quick and simple but so gorgeous!
I hope you will join us this week for our Anything Goes challenge! Really wow us with your creations!!

Happy Thursday!
I'm going to share 2 cards with you today.
Seems I'm in a simple card phase right now...haven't been doing a lot of elaborate cards this week...
This first card came to mind when I was scanning my challenge list and saw a photo inspiration at Stamptacular Sunday of a beautiful beach!
The image is Cali Girl from Saturated Canary! I was able to snag her at a great price when Krista was having her "moving shop" sale! She seemed perfect for this card :)
Everything on this card is cut with my cricut!! First time I've done that in quite awhile. The palm trees and Paradise sentiment are from the Life is a Beach cartridge, the starfish are from the Create-a-Critter cartridge, the waves are a cut file from Bird's Cards, and the hibiscus is from the Hibiscus font!! Oh and the frame around miss Cali is from the Lacy Labels cartridge.
I used my colored pencils and added detailing to the palm trees and the star fish...they were pretty flat without it :) I colored in my image with my pencils as well. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I'm not very good at skin yet...I keep practicing but can't seem to get it right...and trying to get a tanned skin color is even harder...but I did the best I could and I think it turned out pretty good :)
I used my white gel pen and added some small details around the hibiscus and the waves. Then added some gold paint dots in the corners!
This card is entered in the following challenges:
Stamptacular Sunday #166-Photo Inspiration
Alota Rubber #84-Sketch
The Pink Elephant #151-Vibrant Colors
Raise the Bar #107-Hello Summer
The Squirrel and the Fox #19-Winter or Summer
My next card is super simple...but it came together really quick!
I've had this birdhouse image in my folder forever (can't remember where I got it from), and I just love it but never used it! So with "new home" coming up on my rotation of topics, I decided to finally use this image!
It's colored with my pencils. I colored them all in brown first and then went over the brown lightly with a blue on the 2 houses on the left. I think it gave them a cool warn look. All the papers are from my scrap stash..I just LOVE using up those pieces...my stash of them is getting a little out of control :)
Not many details to this card..like I said...simple! :)
This card is entered in the following challenges:
Try Stampin on Tuesday #69-Sketch
Digital Tuesday #163-Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter #67-Going Dotty
Pixie Dust Studio #130-3 or More Patterned Papers

Happy Leap Day!! I hope everyone is well.
I am so proud of my card today! It turned out so good and makes me smile every time I look at it.
What a beauty! I can't believe how much I love this card! The colors worried me at first. Fantabulous Cricut's challenge this week is purple, turquoise, and green...and while all of the design teams projects were so fabulous, I just couldn't get anything to work in my head. But I tried anyhow. I've had this purple patterned paper in my stash for so long. It seemed like a good one to use for this card.
The bird cage is cut out from the Cricut French Manor cartridge. I cut out the layers in 2 different shades of blue, and then staggered the layers just slightly so both showed through. I cut a small piece of chain and added it to the top of the cage with a couple brads. Then added some light blue stickles to the top layer.
Both frames are cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge. The purple layer on the large frame has been embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. It's a one sided piece of paper so the other side is white, which once the paper was embossed, the white popped through a little. I was going to ink some purple on top to cover that up, but I'm glad I didn't because I feel the little bits of white really brighten the card up.
I had some extra blue petals from my card yesterday so I made another blue flower. The purple flower petals are cut from the Wild Card cartridge, just cause that's the cartridge I have plugged into my jukebox that I know has a flower on it :) I inked the edges of the purple flower with purple to cover the white.
In the centers of the blue and purple flowers, I dotted some 3D paint and then poured on some of my new tiny beads to make a shimmery center.
I rolled up some of my roses, but I made them a little smaller than normal. Added some swirls, a few purple pearls, and some glitter to the blue flower and it's all done! I'm still debating if I want to add some glitter to the birds wings and the white roses...what do you think?
I just love this card! Yeah, I make creations that just don't work...but it always feels so good when something turns out just perfect!
This card is entered in the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut #100-Purple, Green, Turquoise
Kaboodle Doodles #108-Shades of Purple
Stampin' Sisters in Christ #128-Variegated Colors
The Crazy Challenge #108-Anything Goes
