Cute Card Thursday - Christmas

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Christmas'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

I have just got back from the Whimsy Stamps retreat in Florida - a wonderful time with so many classes and make-and-takes! This card was inspired by one of the coloring classes at the retreat.
I used the Happy Owlidays Too stamp set which has just been newly released.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out. 

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Ellie-mens stamp set and die cut it out using the Quick Strips die set.

I used papers from My Favorite Things Candy Land 6x6 paper pack and added some twine to the striped panel.

Cute Card Thursday - Sparkles

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Sparkles'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

One of my new favorite stamp sets is called Sweater Weather in the Woods from My Favorite Things. I love the cute animals in their sweaters and to add coffee is just perfect!

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out. 

I used Hero Arts Snowflake Pattern Cover Plate to die cut one pixie dust glitter cardstock from Lawn Fawn (my sparkle isn't showing up too well in the photograph but I can assure you it's there!)

I adhered this onto the green spotted paper from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day paper collection. The sentiment strip was actually part of oe of the papers in this collection also.

I popped up the bear using foam tape and voila! My sparkly christmas card - super quick and easy to make.

Without further ado, let me share one of the projects I created with this amazing kit.

There are so many fun possibilities with these stamps, dies, papers and goodies!

I stamped the images onto white cardstock using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne (black) ink and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used the swiss dots A2 sized die in the kit to cut out the yellow patterned panel and adhered the mice and cheese in and behind the hole. This was adhered onto a white cardstock panel measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". I stamped the sentiments into the holes.

I adhered this panel onto a standard A2 white card base. A quick and easy card!

Cute Card Thursday - Spots & Dots

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Spots & Dots'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

Another of the newly released images this month is the adorable 'Spot' designed by CCDesigns available at Whimsy Stamps. 

I printed the image onto white cardstock and colored her in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut her out. 

I used papers from Elle's Studio xoxo paper pad and finished the card with bakers twine.

I added some sparkle to her wings and hearts using a wink of stella pen.

There are so many fun possibilities with these stamps, dies, papers and goodies!

I used the Swiss Dots A2 sized die from the kit to die cut the heart pattern cardstock. I adhered this onto a grey cardstock panel. I filled some of the holes in by using the reverse side of the patterned paper and popping some of the matching holes up on foam tape.

I cut the grey patterned cardstock at an angle and added to the base of the panel. I adhered solemn grey bakers twine and fussy cut some of the hearts from the excess patterned cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne (black) ink and cut it into a banner shape. I mounted this onto pink patterned cardstock from the kit.I popped up the sentiment on foam tape and adhered it all to a standard A2 black card base.

Cute Card Thursday - Halloween

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Halloween'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

I used this theme to caret a birthday card for my daughter who is a huge Harry Potter fan! I took the theme to mean dressing up and magical/wizards for Halloween. This image is a digital image from Polkadoodles called 'Wizardy Magic Little Dude' - how adorable is he?? You can purchase it in either black and white or pre-colored.

I printed out the image and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out.

I printed the sentiment from the set and cut it out in a thin strip.

I used halloween cardstock from my stash to create the layers for the card. I also chose plain cardstock to match the Griffindor colors.

I finished the card by popping up the image on foam tape.

World Cardmaking Day - Whimsy Stamps blog hop

World Cardmaking Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the art of handmade cards – whether made with construction paper and crayons or with more sophisticated supplies. As we crafters can all agree, a store-bought card, while nice, just can’t replace the personal and thoughtful nature of one made by hand.  

Today, the Whimsy Design Teams are honoring this craft with two hops – one here and another on Instagram. For each hop Whimsy is giving away a $25 gift certificate to the store. To increase your chances of winning, be sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop. All comments must be left by midnight EST on Saturday, October 12th. Here is my Halloween themed card:

I used 'Bones', 'Frankie' and 'Jack' digital stamps, using the .png file and merging them together to make one image. i colored them with my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut them out.

I die cut the orange frame using Whimsy Stamps Shaker Maker Rectangles die set. I used Whimsy Stamps Grass and Cloud Eder die set to cut the black cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment using Whimsy Stamps You're my Boo clear stamp set. I cut this into a banner shape and mounted onto black cardstock.

I popped the frame up on foam tape, mounted it onto a patterned cardstock panel from my stash, and added it to a standard A2 black card base.

I just love these images and hope my card has inspired you to make some fun Halloween cards of your own.

Whimsy Stamps October Digital Stamp Release

It is the start of the new Whimsy Stamps digital release for October - another awesome release!

I used the awesome 'Rory' mage by CC Designs, available from the Whimsy Store.

I printed the image onto white cardstock and used my prismacolor pencils to color him in. I then fussy cut him out.

I used papers from Echo Park's Dino Friends collection, cutting various panels and banners to make up the card. I added some coordinating bakers twine and then adhered the panel to a standard A2 white card  base.

Whimsy Stamps October Digital Stamps Release

It is the start of the new Whimsy Stamps digital release for October - another great release!

I used the fun 'Reindeer Farts' image, available from the Whimsy Store.

I printed the image onto white cardstock and used my prismacolor pencils to color him in. 

I used a variety of papers from Whimsy Stamps 'chilly' paper pack. I also used the snowflake dies from Whimsy Stamps No-See All Seasons Tree die set with a white enamel dot in the center.

This was all adhered onto a standard A2 white card base.
